Hey, thanks for rating my doom stack. Just wanted to point out that they had around 86 mele defence and with Helebron they were about as cheap as dread spears. I also tried a version of the doom stack with a sorcerece general because you can get a name of power that gives them 10% ward save, but I think the other buffs Helebron gives them is still better for their overall damage output.
Is there anything stopping you from making two stacks and comparing them in this save?
Edit: because I'm super interested in having a comparison and seeing in action how those final additions of ward save change it

Have you considered adding a bloodwrack shrine to fight alongside the hag shrine? When fighting in melee they debuff nearby enemy melee defense and buff ally melee attack. Could help the sisters with more auras.
@@PropheticShadeZ I tried it against a pirate cost army but dispite the ward save they got shredded since without the Hellebroms buffs they didn't really have the damage to take out large units like roting prometieus. Large units in genral are the bane of this armies existence. Especially heavily armoured ones.
I always find it funny how legend almost has a trouser accident every time he gets a good fire cast 😄

Their bdsm training is what is giving them the physical resistance. They don't feel pain, only pleasure.

I feel using the fire wizard is fair since it was included in the army and you didn’t only use it without using the main part of the army.
a bit like the vampire counts. There's no way to work them properly without magic.
yep, getting as much as possible out of magic is fine as long as it isn't to the exclusion of the rest of the army imo
Also this looks like an army that's designed to make the enemy blob up for magic and eat any friendly fire
But the majority of armies being submitted uses it and it's the same thing
The over reliance on magic is nothing special, it doesn't showcase the doomstack, anyone's army can do this. He said he won't show any more of these but here we are

Sisters of Slaughter are such an odd unit. They are designed to take casualties since they get stronger the more damaged they become
And they look very badass
Against the right units they'll literally hold the line against several times their numbers forever. Very fun to use!
Not necessarily casualties, but in reality yes. It's impossible to control the spread of damage they take across the unit's models. But they only need to be "loosing" their combat. If they're winning the melee engagement, they don't use "The Trial of Blades". Even if still taking damage.

Here chilling with some coffee , starting a good saturday, watching how legend roast a bunch of lizzards stuck in a choke point with a flame storm. Life is good
Legend forgot to look at hero traits and equipment. Dark Elves tend to get a lot of equipment that will either buff or debuff units withing an area in melee that would have made the army stronger. I think a pair of heroes in a Dark Elf army can be equipped to provide something like +5 melee defense or your units and -7 melee attack and -20% melee damage on the enemy and an addition +16 melee defense intermittently.

9/10 is fair. The extra techs would help a lot, since damage output seems to be the only thing lacking against single entities. Helle-Le-bron slaps anything 1v1 tho

Sisters of Slaughter are one of the few melee infantry that I never feel like I've recruited them just for them to die. They always do solid work for me. I've never thought of using that many of them though.
One of the Lizardmen Lords was called 'Geef'eten' (Give Food) lmao. xD
Yeah, i played Hellebron like this as well, it's pretty damn sick and quite effective. Notably, this is at Peak performance. The physical resist will fluctuate by up to 15% without regular blood nights

we need a new chapter where you rate armies based on entertainment factor or take that into account as a bonus when you rate the armies. would be fun, since this is getting a bit repetetive, i mean, this was basically more or less the same as the wood elves one in too many aspects.

One thing to note here is the relatively manageable cost, and ease of recruitment.
You can do this same sort of thing with Doomfire warlocks(whom have 40% physical resistance base.) It is quite devastating paired with a beast wizard.
That is one of the best vortex spell cast i've seen

You can start making it turn one with hellebron and it cost half of the price.

You can compare mamoths to dragon ogre, but comparing them to this doomstack seems a bit unfair
I would advise
- low life group (foot soldiers)
- raider group (cavalry)
- nobles (chariots and mid monsters)
- the big boys (large monsters)
- Legue of gods (heroes, lords)

I composed a doomstack similar to this and the sisters got absolutely demolished going up against ranged heavy armies. Melee on melee though it's powerful

He's been saying lately on stream that A.I. got slightly better with certain situations and mostly at dodging spells.

I don't think the AI puts kroak in any of their armies. At least I have never seen them do so.
I've seen Kroak in armies. That's an autoresolve for me.
I think this battle would of went differently on an open field, that choke point did a ton of work. 9/10 is too generous In my opinion.

Imo woodelves have the single strongest Melee infantry doomstack. This one comes close though

I would have prefered to see the battle without using the fire wizard. I can understand that he is supposed to do some damage since she is in the army but the cast was so good that the show of the actually interesting units was less impactfull if that makes sense.
Im not sure but he dont have all reserches for sisters I think he dont have one for +5 melee defence and one for melee +5 atack and one for 5% word save but Im not sure, except of ceremonial weapons

This stack is better with more unit variety. Having some Shades and a Bolt Thrower makes it better. Why does it always have to be all the same unit even when it's to the detriment of the army? Seems dumb to me.
it's probably because we already know shades are busted. The thing is, the shades really don't need the sisters of slaughter at all they're that broken. So might as well show off an underappreciated unit, the sisters.
So I'm not the most experienced, I only ever play on normal but... Theoretically, wouldn't a Empire flagellant doomstack be just as, if not more powerful considering they're unbreakable? Especially if led by Volkmar. Actually.... What if these two doomstacks fought... Wonder who would win lol
How would it get even close to being as powerful? The Sisters didn't have any problems with morale here, Flagellants have 32 MA and _10_ MD compared to the sisters' 37 MA and 59 MD baseline and Flagellants have no baseline damage resistance. I don't have Volkmar so I can't check his skills easily but it seems highly unlikely to me that he would buff Flagellants to even be as good as nonbuffed Sisters. And if the two fought there's absolutely no question that the Sisters wouldn't wipe the floor with Flagellants, especially with their poison attacks.
Doom stack isn't the only stack I'm rating here 😳
Hey - don’t talk smack about the Chosen! They are slow, but they are meant to be a wall rather than flanking units: you needed to rotate the sisters of slaughter out to hold the line - no need to do that with Chosen.
If you want speed, look to the cavalry for that...
honestly even the chaos cavalry are still pretty slow for cav. At least they have the warhounds. And you would definetely need to rotate chosen out against that, there was a ton of amour piercing in that army.
@@sympunny8636 No - just allow the Chosen to soak up damage (they can take quite a bit) as my knights and dragon ogres flank the elves.
They managed to win against a huge amount of red crested skinks, the unit type they are created to destroy...

Legend, how would you like to see beast magic changed to make it competitive? Also its been a while since you made that top 5 lores of magic vid.
It doesn't have any good damage spells and only one good debuff spell. The buff spells that it has are more expensive than other lores of magic. It needs at least one good damage spell.
His top 5 lores are:
Vampires
Plague
Fire
Life
Light

1 Beast: Reasons listed above. Flock of doom is mediocre even in ideal circumstances and the transformation of Kadon got nerfed to be almost useless in campaign.
2 High: most of the magic is okay early game, but not scales well into late game and the wind spell is never cost effective. It's best spell is anti air only.
3 Nekahara: No area buffs and the vortex spell is kinda meh
4 Death: Its not bad, but the spells aren't effective on ultra unit scales or very hard battle difficulty. Terror, leadership debuffs, and direct damage just don't scale well.
5 Stealth, Deep, Little Waaagh: These lores aren't bad, but the factions that have access to them also have access to better lores like Plauge, Vampires, and Big Waaagh

This doomstack is pretty good, in lizardmen scenario shades or sisters of avelorn would have been way worse than this doomstack.
I tried similar stack but wasn't happy because of poor AP of Sisters. Maybe time to try it again though
P.S. Probably Lizards are the most convenient enemy for this stack to take on. Sisters did ok against dino's though

Not trying to be nit picky but i dont think you should be testing Doom stacks on choke point battles.
Yah it made flamestorm super effective and prevented the enemy from wrapping around at all.
When he talked about darkshards/shades not working here, all I was thinking was that on this map they would slaughter.
Scary, pointy, magic ladies are more scared of magic than pointy things, go figure. Interaction for the algorithm god, likes for his like throne!
