I hated snails in the beginning also, but now i just learned to accept them. I just think of them as a good thing for my aquarium cycle
I'm ok with the snails also. The problem with freshwater limpets is that they scrape all the algae and biofilm off the surface and leave my shrimp without natural food source.
@@ShrimpMania bacter ae, recommend it highly
Your videos have made me want to make a shrimp tank. Maybe an otocinclus or few.
You speak English very well by the way!
Go ahead and make one for yourself. You going to like it!
You can see a specific approach and a lot of heart, that's why I leave Sub. Greetings from Poland 🤗
Thank you 😊
Baby is so cute
Really like the formal garden look!
I love your setup! My shrimp love my planted terra cotta pots, which are easy to move around in their tank.
Shrimp avalanche ❤
😊
Great video as always keep up the good work
Thank you GLP appreciate it!
Nice setup!! 😎👍
Thank you😊
New tank looking great! 👌 I think the larger anubias is "nana" and the anubias attached to the cholla wood is possibly "nana petite" which grows smaller and more compact
Thank you my friend👍. Yea that's probably why is so big, next time I will look for nana petite then
awesome shrimp tank, there is something super awesome about them.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it
The best part of the videos is the “let it rain shrimp” moment. Pulling in the baby is also very cool. I need to get some coconut bridges in my tanks. They look so cool. I have such shrimp room envy. Someday maybe… Thanks for the video.
Hey Steve, I’ve got this phrase from your last comment, i very like how you described it. It really looks like shrimp rain this time😊👍 Thank you for keep watching my friend
@@ShrimpMania That is so cool, it does look like it. I love it, have. Great day my friend.
Nice video. Keep it up
Thanks 😊
Love your tanks and style! Keep it up.
Thank you buddy 🙏
What a beautiful Tanksetup!!! It looks amazing and this many Babyshrimps wooowww 😍 and i am so excited for the crazy blue Babys
I am glad to hear you liked it! Thank you for your support buddy!
assisto todos os seus vídeos e gosto muito da maneira que trabalha, parabéns...
Love the videos. But do you have neocaridina shrimps? Maybe videos on them set up. Thanks
Yes I'm thinking to setup neocaridina tank in the near future
I’m happy to see you’re getting into plants! I remember when you would only use moss!
Before I only want to see my shrimp but then I realized that it's more pleasant to look at the tank with beautiful plants rather than just moss
@@ShrimpMania lol yes. Plants definitely add life to the tank and offer great places for the baby shrimp to hide and they look nice too! Adds interest to the tank
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cheers
You must be a pro at building these tanks now 😂they look great! ❤
I'm glad you liked it! Yea I've made quite few already😊
amazing video! just woke up to do my work out and saw your vide and this is a great surprise. love it at 0:06 the amazing collection of camera gear, lens and L lens. love the tons of babies at 4:08 it's amazing to see so many babies at 4:40 the rainfall of shrimp entering the tank is such a therapeutic scene. 15:49 I'm going to have to inquire you about those crazy blues later, but 6 berried that's amazing, i find at spring time a lot of my shrimp berry up. 17:49 the babies are so cute, so many of them. I love that ada soil! just got 6 more bags myself, can't wait till your next video!
Thank you Ray! I got so much camera gear recently, my wife saying that I spending more on cameras and lenses than on her haha (that's not true)
@Shrimp Mania camera gear is so addictive for sure. I've been eyeing a few new lens recently but holding off. Gotta get some crazy blues and golden galaxy off you first hehe. Love this video
@@RWAquariumPages Yes very addictive for sure. Happy to sell you some when I have a lot of them
Lovely video as always 👌. I also have a hate fresh water limpets. Hopefully, very soon, I'll make a small pvc roller to squish the little buggers without scraping the algae off the glass, and it will also feed the shrimp too so in my eyes its a win win situation haha thank you again for the amazing video.
Thank you! Good idea. I need to make that roller too!
Could you make a video on how do you get so beautiful java in your tanks? (light, temperature, feritliser etc). Thank you!
good day what types of lamps do you use I think the light is so beautiful greetings from the Netherlands
Hi i did full tutorial on how i built my rack including how i made light see the link in description (part 2)
I clicked to hard when I read shrimp. 😊
Love all your videos
Could you tell me between amazonia gold bag and Master Soil which one is better for caridina please❤
i need help, my aquarium i set up 3 weeks ago got just like dark biofilm on it but nothing like in this vide, the nice green one , this one just looks dirty ,will shrip eat that ? how do I get the nice green one ?
great tank!
do you need O2 for tank?
Can I use a sponge filter instead of an underground filter? Also, how do you change out the substrate since its aquasoil?
Amazing video as usual !
I have setup one tank with Golden ADA Amazonia and after cycling I added my colony.
Many females got berried but unfortunately I didn’t see survived babies!
Although all water parameters are normal.
Any advice ?
If they are berried for the first time it's normal for them to lose eggs due to lack of experience. It happens to my females quite a lot. If they are experienced and you don't see the babies maybe check your water for ammonia, NO2, NO3. You should have plenty of biofilm for babies to survive in the new setup
Can you please list all the plants used?
How did you make the soil bed? Like did you just glue a stick and then put the substrate ?
really good looking shrimps. are you breeding and selling them?
Thanks, I don't sell them
where did you get the boxes that you put inside the tank?
Why are copepods so good? Do they not eat the shrimp food also? I see you and others having them and other species in shrimp and fish tanks to create a diverse system but also see online there's so many kinds. I got some at my local aquarium store today but have no idea if they are fresh or salt water, or will even survive and breed in my tanks or not 😅
Looks amazing! I just started having shrimp, had my first babies already! My girlfriend now wants a tank for her own haha
What did you feed your shrimp in the video?? They seemed to love it, keep it up!
Thank you! It's good when your gf into the shrimps too it is quite rare thing😂 I fed Shrimp King mineral my shrimp love it
What kind of moss is used on those arches? It seems to grow slowly and stay small which is something is like.
It's fissidens fontanus moss
What a beautiful shrimp rain 🥲🥲. When cycling your tanks, when do you start to add gh? Or do you add pure ro water for the entire process?
I don't believe it makes any difference if you use RO water or with GH, I normally use whatever water I have in my reservoir and then remineralize it to the number I like after last w/c
Keep up the good work, love the channel thank you!
@@lit0homi3 Thank you 😊
What species do you own ?
Any chance of purchasing from you ?
Also you do selectively breeding? or not much?
where is the co2
Hi, I also tried a UGF and when I turned on the air pump a bunch of dirty soil threw into my aquarium, I used the same soil ADA Amazonia Light, I even washed it before putting it in the filter box, do you know why?
Idk maybe just wait it should go away in a little while
First to comment!!!
What are the other tank sizes from which you catches the shrimplet? ?
37x40x35h
Bro what light do you use for your shrimp ? You install custom lighting in your shelf?
Yes in description
Ada say don't use undergravel filters with soil?
really? why not?
Hi awesome tank:)! Can i check whats that plant on top of your coconut shell?
its fissidens fontanus
Thanks:)! Awesome
How often do you feed the shrimps brother with this kind of planted tanks
Normally once a day
What the tank size?
Where do you get the filter bottom plates and the tube from, is it DIY or available to buy online?
Links in description
Is there any reason you dont use the UG filter for entire bottom ?
nope I think is a good idea, I'm thinking to try it one day
hi, did you use a blade or sponge to clean the glass?
Normally blade
@@ShrimpMania Thanks, I want to use blade someday I'm just scared of scratching glass. I still use a basic melamine sponge
Whats kind of light ?chihiros?
DIY - ruclips.net/video/OJ48e6KM6mM/видео.html
Did you use fertilizer?
How long light a day?
I didn't use ferts. Light 12 hours a day
Hey, do you give your shrimp tanks fertiliser for the plants?
Nope I dont
Why did you change 90% of the water from the tank before introducing the shrimps? (isn't it better to have a lot of nitrates in the water so that the shrimps can feed on it)
Shrimps don't do well with high NO3 so it's better to remove it at the end
Great video but please wear a mask when sanding glass
Good call!
Do you have a link for the tank?
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B072FNZVWY
Do you recommend Akadama soil? I see that you mostly use ada Amazonia.
It’s ok for simple caridina like crystal red but not for high end caridina because high ph 6.5 from my experience
@@ShrimpMania oh,I am planning on simple caridina like red calceo or ykk
@@_invertico_ yes you can use akadama then that would work just fine
@@ShrimpMania I am also using coconut fiber to lower the KH and tds too,I have used it in the past and it's 100% safe for shrimp.
What do you feed your shimps
I usually feed different brands I got shrimp king food also a lot of companies sent me food in the past to try for free (sl aqua, qualdrop) everyday something diferent
I don’t have any plants in my sugar tank right now I was thinking about putting some moss balls in
awesome tank and beautiful babies (of course not as beautiful as ur baby girl) :P. Can i ask you about ur problem with clogging ugf with dust underneath ? is the permanent ugf solved it ?
Thank you man, she is a lovely baby girl! I have a lot of dust at the bottom of the ugfs and in some tanks the dust comes out from the filters and cloud the water from time to time in some tanks I don't have this issue. I used to clean it before but now I prefer just leave it because once you clean it it will come back in a month or so. I have a video on how I cleaned it - ruclips.net/video/01iR8mI-bFA/видео.html
@@ShrimpMania can i ask you where do you buy ur shrimp supplies (ie. shrimp king, glasgarten and sl aqua products) in uk other than happy shrimp house ? thanks in advance !
@@liewahyudi9609 www.olibetta.uk
@@ShrimpMania thank you!
Man you’re doing amazing man, my shrimp just won’t get berried.. since oktober haven’t seen any 😢Would you know what I should do?
How old is your tank? My shrimp slow down with breeding once the soil expires normally in about 12-18 months after setup
@@ShrimpMania Its about 9 months old at the moment, water parameters are normal. Shrimp aint dieing, and feeding multiple food sources. At 22 degrees stable as well. Got some good moss in there.
@@RedGalaxyFishbone Sometimes it is hard to say what can be wrong. It happened to me before. Sounds like old tank syndrome when the soil doesn't work anymore. Check your ph, kh, gh stuff like that. If that would happen to me I would just reset the tank this defiantly fixes the issue. The longer you wait the more time you waste it's unlikely you will fix it.
@@ShrimpMania yes thank you! I’ll be resetting the tank tomorrow.
I would never ever use the CA Activators that is poisonous
Idk man this tank doing fantastic now and I have insane results with this colony. it's already like 300 shrimp in there
why every water change my shrimp die one by one
Could be a few reasons. Parameters need to be same or close . Water temperature needs to be same . And most importantly don’t do large water changes (10%) max and drip water back in don’t just dump water back in
