First time stopping by the channel, and this video was very well done. Exactly the comparison I was looking for 👍 I absolutely love my Xtreme 3 and Clip 4, but I also agree that the Xtreme 3 is too expensive. Especially since the recent price increases I’ve been seeing
I got me the charge 5 for about $100 on market place and let me say it sounds much better than the rest of the speakers as the sound is much clearer and louder. If I am to recommend any of those speakers to anyone, I would recommend the charge 5.

I'm hesitating between clip 4 and charge 5 .I plan on use it in my room for the most time so i care more about the clarity than loudness and idk if it's worth paying more than twice the price for the charge 5 or not
Jbl has added and eq for the charge 5. Also, i think the charge 5 is the sweet spot in the lineup. Walmart sells them for $146, which is where i got mine last month.

Great video! Just picked up the Flip 6 for my 16 year old son on Black Friday deal. I debated so hard back and forth between the charge 5 and that flip 6. Ultimately, it was the portability of the Flip 6 that swayed me as he will be taking it with him to the gym and such and it still sounded pretty darn good in the store for a small speaker
I own a jbl charge 5, flip 5, xtreme 2 and 3, and a boombox 2 and obviously my favorite one is the boombox 2 but I’m not even joking I like my charge 5 more than my xtreme 3. Yes the xtreme 3 is louder and stuff but for the money I don’t think it’s worth spending the extra money for the xtreme 3.
Great review! I was in the market for a waterproof BT speaker for an upcoming kayak trip. I had a hard time deciding between the Go 3, Clip 4, and the Flip 6 and actually walked out of the store with the Go 3 and the Flip 6 because I couldn't decide. After my own testing, I decided to keep the Flip 6. I think the Go 3 was an amazing speaker, and it really shines for its portability. The Flip 6 was just too hard to beat with its better sound and battery life (as to be expected with its higher price tag). I think if i was needing a speaker for backpacking and trekking on foot, I'd probably keep the Go or get the Clip. But it was easy enough to tie the Flip to my cooler on my kayak. The flip stayed strong during my 10 hour float. It never got submerged but was splashed with water constantly. And, i was able to crank the volume up loud enough for my buddies to enjoy the music during our float.
Charge 5 looks ugly and hurts my ears (even at low volume) and sinds it has 2 speakers it uses more power so it’s battery life is slightly less so it’s the charge 4 for me
Like your show. I’m hooked great vibes. Ps. I like how you play a full bar of the exact same music quickly. The previous speaker remains hanging in your head while the next is immediately played for comparison. Brilliant!
I think I’ll start with the charge 5, probably get the flip 6 for extreme portability next, and then the xtreme 3 for party usage. By then I’d be able to hook up the speakers and have quite the sound system going.

I picked up a black flip 6 after my old 12 JBL passed on. Within 3 days I picked up another silver flip 6 for the stereo/Party trick. Use one color for visual clue of the left side the other for the right side. It makes for an excellent portable for stereo sound in and outside. The 6 has an simple EQ, is 30w and a Bluetooth of 5.7 around 40 feet. Maybe when the Extreme 3 or Charge 5 goes on sale for a great price in a year or two I’ll pick it up for and connect it in the center for a more complete powerful system.
Xtreme 3 is not under Charge 5 at the sound quality and power; you recorded bad xtreme 3! Xtreme 3 is like is not having tweeters (when it has) and the power is under charge 5!
I just picked up the Charge 5 yesterday. So far pretty happy with it. It's comparable sound quality to my 8 year old Bose Soundlink Mini but the JBL goes way louder, is twice as big, way longer battery life and is rugged. I think the Bose has a nice balanced sound whereas the JBL has more treble and a bit tighter bass but the Bose still cranks the bass too for such a small speaker. Depending on which song you listen to, that will decide which one sounds better.
Pls can anyone help me? I have a problem with my jbl xtreme 3 GG version, the buttons are not working only start up button works. I can press the buttons but they are not reacting. I already tried restarting and factory restarting nothing works bcs the buttons won t work. Also i can t turn off the speaker i can only turn it on and conect to my phone. I can only turn off my speaker by pressing start up button 8times times and hold it for 10 secs. The speaker plays music and videos normally without problems. PLS I NEED HELP
Very great! I prefer the Xtreme 3 though, because the aux port, usb-a, and covered usb-c ports. The cover for the usb-c is helpful, cause I don't have to like get the water out with the good ol' hankies. The flip 6 has this problem. And I want a boombox-like thing, and it has a bigger battery too(than the charge 5).
Boombox 2 has half of the battery Power than the boombox 1.. i made the mistake because i thought the newer Version is better.. i have both and the xtreme 3, boombox 2 and xtreme 3 have the same battery Power while boombox 1 has twice as mich. Think about that before buying
@@PackardKotch that surprises me, I can use mine all day and it hardly needs to charge up. Uses more if you charge the phone off it of course. Has even better and more powerful sound inside when plugged in.

I get less battery life from my xtreme 3 than my flip 5 if they're paired together in partyboost or even playing separately at the same volume percentage (usually under 50% but sometimes a lot more). My xtreme 3's battery is about comparable if not a bit weaker than my flip essential. Luckily it seems that the battery on the xtreme wouldn't be too hard to replace if it stopped holding a charge.

Got the Jbl Xtreme 3 for 199 Euros, the Jbl Charge 5 costs 170. I think its worth it to pay extra 30 bucks for the xtreme. If it was more than 100, I would have probably gone for the Charge 5

The clip is a subpar speaker $80 is about $40 too much for this a 5 watt speaker with very little bass and very limited volume makes this utterly useless.
I have both flip 5, charge 5 and now xtreme 3, i have not got chance to try the extreme 3 much, charge 5 is an easy speaker to carry with you outside, xtreme 3 is quite large and might be less good to have with you in some cases, got the charge 5 for $150 and xtreme 3 this week for $220 seems like fair price for the perfomence you will get
The Extreme 3 does not have EQ option the charge 5 does correction which makes no sense to me the most expensive speaker don't have a EQ option I can't understand that
I have a go2 , Clip 4 , Boombox, Partybox 300, flip 6 , Charge 5 . The Go 2 never gets used, it's kind of pointless. I wish they made the clips with the ability to link up.
Yo as a pro tip don't put any electronics in water with chlorine or salt water it ruins the adhesive seals this applies to phones with a IP rating otherwise solid review keep up the great work ✊
Well it would be over a wired connection and I think what people really want is to be able to hear the music from around the room not just right in one area but it can amplify the sound

Quick question man. I saw your old oneodio videos, and it convinced me to get some. I got the A70 headphones. I Hooked it up to a headphone amp, but in general these headphones sound really bad in the bass department the louder they go. Everything else sounds good which is a shame. Should I try different oneodio headphones or am I looking in the wrong place? If you see this, thanks a lot for your recommendation.

You will never find good clarity in tiny speakers, they are only for fun, go with jbl charge 5

I got my charge 5 at Walmart too , i just use the 9 band eq on my phone . It's sounds great
Overall firmware 6 to 7 lower the volume by 1 decibel with no benefits and then 7 to 8 made the highs and mids a bit worse except for the deep bass

Also this usb-C is out to charge newer cellphones that require C connection in the charger side

Yeah I love it I use it outside workong on the farm, totally rain and dirt proof, charge life is massive,.more like 22 hours.

Got the Jbl Xtreme 3 for 199 Euros, the Jbl Charge 5 costs 170. I think its worth it to pay extra 30 bucks for the xtreme. If it was more than 100, I would have probably gone for the Charge 5

We need JBL minis with that multi connect feature.
The clip is a subpar speaker $80 is about $40 too much for this a 5 watt speaker with very little bass and very limited volume makes this utterly useless.

I have both flip 5, charge 5 and now xtreme 3, i have not got chance to try the extreme 3 much, charge 5 is an easy speaker to carry with you outside, xtreme 3 is quite large and might be less good to have with you in some cases, got the charge 5 for $150 and xtreme 3 this week for $220 seems like fair price for the perfomence you will get

The Extreme 3 does not have EQ option the charge 5 does correction which makes no sense to me the most expensive speaker don't have a EQ option I can't understand that

I have a go2 , Clip 4 , Boombox, Partybox 300, flip 6 , Charge 5 . The Go 2 never gets used, it's kind of pointless. I wish they made the clips with the ability to link up.
Yo as a pro tip don't put any electronics in water with chlorine or salt water it ruins the adhesive seals this applies to phones with a IP rating otherwise solid review keep up the great work ✊

Back when the clip 2 was out you could pair two clip 2 speakers together. They didn't sound bad together actually.
Well it would be over a wired connection and I think what people really want is to be able to hear the music from around the room not just right in one area but it can amplify the sound

Quick question man. I saw your old oneodio videos, and it convinced me to get some. I got the A70 headphones. I Hooked it up to a headphone amp, but in general these headphones sound really bad in the bass department the louder they go. Everything else sounds good which is a shame.
Should I try different oneodio headphones or am I looking in the wrong place?
