Leo you are now a legend, I can't think of anything a person can accomplish that's more important. Decades after you are gone you will be remembered and spoke about. If you are remembered you never die. Now that's a legacy that's well deserved. I hope everyone who worked on rebuilding Tally Ho signed thier names some where in the boat so future generations will know the men and women who brought tally ho back to life for them to enjoy. I see a movie or a documentary being made about tally ho and the craftsmen who resurrected her back to her glory.
Tally Ho - Built and launched Great Britain 1910 -- Built and launched USA 2024 - Leo marked this in the mast step. 114 years across the tides of time.
Last week I saw on RUclips the moment that her keel touched the water. Already from the start I signed up and saw all the videojournals they made. And even while I had nothing to do with the rebuild of the ship, I felt the emotion of the moment. It was a true glorious moment. And then to think that the adventures haven’t started yet. This song is a beautiful view to TH’s horizons. Bravo.
Nice song. Despite being an avid Tally Ho watcher and contributor for many years, one of the paintings used in this video had passed me by: 00:01:36. I used snipping and google image search to track it down - it's by Martyn M. Mackrill and is called 'The Fastnet Race of 1927'. I think it's very good, captures the sense of beating hard into a strong breeze. Apparently it was painted in 2021, so perhaps he was inspired by Leo to paint it. I hope Leo has a print, it would sit well in the saloon.
This is a wonderful song tribute to Leo , his crew and everyone that has participated directly or indirectly in this project. Also to the hundreds of thousands viewers that every week has waited to see the work that Leo and his friends have done to make Tally Ho be back alive so beautiful. I am sure this boat will live another 120 years or even more. I hope Leo will never sale his work of art and keep it for his children and grandchildrens as tribute to this long five years of hard work and dedication. Thank you Michael Hein!
A beautiful song of the Tally Ho epic story. The lyrics encompass her history and talented hands that brought her back to life and new adventures. Full respect for your perfect rendition and talent writing this song. 👏
My father was a boatbuilder and was based in Ramsgate during the 2nd world war building & repairing MTB boats. Fibreglass was taking over however and he got a job in Rootes car factory. He was a brilliant craftsman and wasted there.
never has there been a truer story of people working together for a common goal as this story. Think hard on the other application of this worthy story. One journey ends as another begins Thanks RC
Listening to this tribute-song, brings another tear, to my eye. Her launch video, had me up on my knees ,in my chair at the breakfast-table. Looking down on my cell phone screen. As Tally-Ho, touched the water. Thank you Leo.! AnD, Crew & fellow inthuastest . For the Dream that Leo has shared with all of us. Your Very Sincere Well Wisher. Great song ,as far as im aware the boat was designed by Albert Strange and built in Shoreham by Sea west Sussex England by Stowe and Sons boatyard., it would be great if she could pay a visit sometime.
Love this song , ❤️ me and my pal Howard have watched all the hard work , that all the men who took part in the bringing back this old boat . Putting new life into this beautiful boat by the use and knowledge and the skills of ancient crafts … CONGRATULATIONS to all the team . 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I'm thrilled that you love my song. However, as you've already pointed out, the credit isn't solely mine. It's not just about the boat, which is indeed a stunning work of art. It's more about the team that united as one, functioning like a single arm, a single hand. As a project manager, I'm incredibly impressed by Leo, who led the team through challenging times while keeping spirits high. I hope to learn his skills, not only in woodworking but also in motivating people. Greetings to Howard
