It's genuinely embarrassing how bad the current government is, a thousand times worse than I expected. What we're looking at is multiple decades worth of managed decline being accelerated in a short period. It's not going to get any better, there's too many unaccountable bureaucrats as well as dogmatic politicians committed to whatever "the party line" is, or whatever their ideology is to effect any positive change for the people of this country. Unless there's radical change in the way this country is run, soon, the UK is pretty much done for, effectively a failed state. The saddest and most frustrating part is watching all of this happen in real time, their mistakes are so BLINDINGLY obvious.
@clare2239 yeah more likely its for controlling society without the need for 80% of the public sector workers. Digital government bot departments working more effectively to monitor and control every individual. CBDCs etc everyone living in an easily controlled digital world. No need for physical prisons except as gulag style factories producing rented goods. 80% of cars gone, only electric ones for the remaining public sector workers and large corporate employees which will include the trades construction etc. All planned out and not hard to find. "You will own nothing and be happy"
Having worked in a government IT environment, it is always the case that by the time they roll out the project the technology is obsolete and the cost is at ten times what it should be. Governments should never do, they should only provide an environment where entrepreneurs can flourish.
Camomile Sasha, don't portray them as being incompetent, they know exactly what they are doing, that's why they are in their positions, just following what they are told 🤷♂️
Not sure I agree here…. They are investing with a longer term horizon to prevent austerity by providing the same service with less people. Also the reason bond yields have risen is a symptom of covid, borrowing, interest rates, stagnation.. this would have happened if Tory were in power.
One of the indications of a bubble is when people who know nothing at all about the underlying "new advantage" (which usually has more substance than SP [statistical processing, called by naive people "AI"]) start piling in and saying "no price too high". Stage 4 of the bubble, euphoria is driven by the Starmers of this world (and his, um, "advisers", those 20-somethings with their PPE degrees). Personally I'm already into stage 5, profit-taking.
AI is in a massive bubble IMO building AI models myself it should be called automated intellegence it is only as good as my training and testing dataset. Anyway they would be better off going to Rolls Royce and buying their modular nuclear reactors.
you said 6 years on a good day Construction of Hinkley Point C nuclear power station in Somerset, UK began in September 2016 and is expected to be completed in June 2027 and thats after delays e.g. covid. They should build nuclear power stations.
The increases in NI and NMW have a purpose. They are designed to push employers towards AI. The UK has a productivity problem. Too many third parties. Not enough workers. If productivity is GDP divided by hours worked, then remove the workers and productivity increases.
The data center makes perfect sense. A connected friend of the party gets awarded a no bid contact, which goes over budget, when the date centre is finally built there is public outcry since it's costing money without any obvious use, so it's given for free or at a mates rate to another friend of then governing party 😂
Voters wanted this. Voters got this. Voters voted uniparty for over a century. Don't lie to me and say they were lied to or misinformed; at this point it's safe to say they want to s themselves in the foot.
The AI data-centre stuff is interesting. Blair's TBI has made a big push for this Gov to embrace AI and also push for public private partnerships to solve the problems with state institutions. The idea being the Gov works with Microsoft or whoever, gives them these resources and access to whatever data they need, and we get a (more) functional NHS, or Gov ID system or whatever. Perhaps the energy costs will break this idea, or perhaps it will just mean that whatever tech company is partnered with will be subsidised and the costs will kill competition.
Honestly, we should just all build military weapons and hardware. We have the infrastructure and given the state of the world, there will always be a motivated buyer down and pipeline. I know it’s unpleasant but honestly a guaranteed growth sector over the next decade will be military. AI is banded about because the average joe thinks it’ll be easy and should really help. The reality is joe will be out of a job and the taxes Joe would’ve paid will be exported as profits to the US. Joe will have to get innovative. Government thinks this means Joe will re-train. But Joe is lazy and tired, so will go on the sick until retirement… This is what happened after Covid, and will happen again. AI will not boost the UK, but will continue to pull money out of the UK. This is the model of all US tech businesses, and AI will end up being outsourced to the US.
you didnt cover the fact that they are looking at implementing SMRs (Small Modular Reactors) to power this AI revolution... something that could be implemented not under the AI banner and would have larger societal impact. The SMR drum has been one being banged for a long time but suddenly now is the time.
This is the same principle behind Innovation UK. It exists purely for bums on seats. And let’s not forget all that capital that could be in the economy with no IR35 and higher tax thresholds. But these guys are all about Central Planning.
Investors and the markets are destroying world economies. Growth is no longer sustainable. This is clearly illustrated by falls in child rates, environmental catastrophies and geopolitical tensions. We are told to blame all things except the impossible growth model. When the markets crash, it will be community involvement that enables us to survive.

looking forward to the lord Ali datacentre funded by taxpayers. Pound tanking. Imports get more expensive. Stagflation is months away.
Hi Sasha I just want to say thank you for making me laugh so many times! you really have a way with words. The UK channel is exactly what's needed to make sense of this crazy country.
Thank you!
Is it deliberate ?
of course
We need a vote of no confidence in those idiots right now.
The ai data centre proposal is part of the dystopian digital ID plan. 😢
They want that out now. Apparently already ready to go, has been for a while. Hope we can stop it
They want to feed in all the camera footage, so they can do nationwide scale face tracking.
He is so stupid to try and deny he is ruled by script. Embarrassing
I don’t understand what you’re saying.
Having worked in a government IT environment, it is always the case that by the time they roll out the project the technology is obsolete and the cost is at ten times what it should be. Governments should never do, they should only provide an environment where entrepreneurs can flourish.
They can ditch the Carbon Capture Scheme (which has never worked anywhere) and save £22bn straight away.
Ed Miliband is our Lysenko!
As their Tax revenues fail, and more tax raises gilts yields will Go higher.
Her photo opportunity in China!
Camomile Sasha, don't portray them as being incompetent, they know exactly what they are doing, that's why they are in their positions, just following what they are told 🤷♂️
Don’t you remember the UK politicians’ experience with Brexit? They can’t admit they effed up.
Here's hoping for chancellor AI
Nice channel. Didn’t realize that the UK is sooooo screwed. Good luck friends.
So...... how many windmills does it take to power several hundred thousand Nvidia cards..
Thats probably the plan, there going to market it as green, to justify the higher prices.
Does the UK have the grid capacity to provide for such a data centre?
They were talking of blackouts the other day, so I doubt it
Also just to point out some of the UK's biggest companies are industries which the UK gov wants to phase out; Tobacco, petroleum, alcohol etc
The increases in NI and NMW have a purpose.
They are designed to push employers towards AI.
The UK has a productivity problem. Too many third parties. Not enough workers.
If productivity is GDP divided by hours worked, then remove the workers and productivity increases.
Sasha - you just published all the thoughts in my mind!!! 100% agree and you picked up on all the issues on the govt plans!!!
"The Wheels on the Bus are falling off, falling off falling off, the Wheels on the Bus are falling off, AI AI Ohh...."
-Sir Dipshit
Me: "I heard there was an owl disguised as a human in this room"
Sasha: " 4:44 "
Me: 😧
AI, AI, AI, AI, AI, growth...goodness me that was hilarious 😂😂😂
IAGON has developed cutting edge, compliant, decentralised cloud storage, and compute for anyone interested in this sector.
AI Just a way of stopping tax errors for working class people only
Ignorance is bliss but once people are chasing you with pitchforks and rakes………… you can’t ignore the injuries you sustained!
Guy at my gym just laid off .
The US company he worked for(media/advertising) has just pulled out of UK.
Just heard that there maybe an IMF bailout sitting in the wings.
Almost 50 years ago since the last time.
And lots of globalist strings attached, no doubt.
Absolutely brilliant and funny 😂😂😂
Thank you!
I am so sorry. Greedy people looking out for themselves. US citizen and boy, do I get it. We've always had crooked politicians but this is nuts
The nhs electronic prescription system was massively late and massively over budget. Can we replace government with AI?
you didnt cover the fact that they are looking at implementing SMRs (Small Modular Reactors) to power this AI revolution... something that could be implemented not under the AI banner and would have larger societal impact.
Informative and funny as per usual! Btw Sascha, do you recommend to switch to Etoro Money if I'm from UK? It says that I won't need to constantly convert from £ to $ which loses money overtime....
I lived through the 1970s Harold Wilson/Jim Callaghan governments. Labour is brilliant at running the economy.
1:32 I am not sure it’s china wanted to humiliate Reeves, rather, she needed some announcement. UK had been having very cold relationships with China, I cannot imagine suddenly that economic relationship warm up with just a trip after 6 years.
I'm shocked and dismayed by the blatant marginalisation of disabled raccoons. You should book yourself in for some DEI training as penance. Personally I'm hoping my Tesla shares pan out so I can emigrate
Bring back Liz Truss now!
Thank you Sasha. This is absolute comedy gold. You should win an award for this.
What an absolute bunch of utter clowns.
What a time to be alive.
its probably Ai thats advising them to build it 😀
Good point lols
Might as well just grab the popcorn and watch the decline at this rate…
Pretty much the only remaining course of action.
The decline has been happening since 2008, where have you been?!
Before they tax the popcorn 😅
Pretty much. The west is done for but seems Britain is running to be first here.
Another great video digging through the shit and giving us the facts that matter! 👍👍
The financial services I work for is investing £20 Billion in UK in the next 5 years and here we have Rachel Reeves with £600m deal with China for 5 years (LOL!)
