I Got that 1974 Kenworth W-925 Movin On kit for Christmas in 1977 when i was 10 yrs old! My dad wanted to paint it all up build it like his company truck at that time but seeing how it was my gift, I wanted it the Movin On version so that was that! After it was all together, Dad told me not to play with it cuz it was a model & not a toy . . . . and I knew that, but I played with it anyways ( & dad knew darn well I was gonnuh play with it🤭🤭🤭😉😁), putting a thousand miles on my knees in the living room, hallway, & kitchen! It never broke though as I made sure to be very careful with it! That was one of my favorite model kit trucks I ever had! Thanks dad for allowing me to follow in your trucking footsteps & for teaching me everything you knew about trucks & trucking! R.I.P., bud . . . love & miss ya so very much🚛🚚 . . . . .10-4👍🏻!
Greatest decade in American history! I think the Roaring 20s, was the beginning of 50 years of practice for the CARNIVAL that was the 1970s! Best time to be young, ever!
Movin On and CW McCall. The 2 forces responsible for putting diesel in the blood of a 13 14 year old boy that set him on a 40 year career 5 or 6 years later. Saved my allowance and cut lawns to earn the money to buy that kit and a box trailer back in 74. Picked it up again in it's current Watkins Kenworth version with the intention of correcting the long gone original Movin On build ( mysterious little brother related "accidental" shelf collapse) but ended up building the complete Snowman rig. I'll just say there's some issues of fit that were hidden under a layer cotton candy childhood nostalgia that took a lot of tricks and skills gained in the 50ish years in between
I have that moving on model truck model.in my storage bin.not built.& vintage amt truck model also.but not built.bj and the bear truck model also.not built.
