15:58 one thing to note is the distance she is away from the shields compared to the payoff shortly after. It’s cool seeing little tricks like this to amplify the tension. Creators giving themselves leeway for things they know the average watcher wouldn’t notice. Hell, I didn’t notice and I’ve seen this trailer 3 times.
I have to give you props. I have watched this cinematic so many many times. I have to thank you. You have shown me so many details and observations. Truly impressive attention to detail. I have such a deeper appreciation for this work. New sub
so i may not be 100% accurate, but i believe the angels in the Diablo universe dont really have physical forms the way we know them. they are beings of light and sound, and they clad themselves in the armor/robes to appear familiar to the humans, so Inarius actually literally has no face. its also a contrast to the demons which are all naked and raw emotion
@@JosiahxTo piggyback off of that, Lilith ripping his wings out is essentially the same premise as ripping out someone's soul with your bare hands. The cinematic makes that fairly clear, with the tower cracking up and all, but I figured I'd mention it.
After your comments about Liliths face being photorealistic and unbeliveable well done in CGI, you really should check what Blizzard has done with this skill and check WoW: War Within Cinematic. That level of facial microexpressions is something i didnt expect to see in my lifetime. Oh and btw, love your videos! You got a new subscriber in me :)
There is so much for a new comer. There is so much more for someone who has been here since D1, read the books, knows the lore. You now only know how, but also why.
Just a B T dubs, Lillith was right, Inarius was a crazed angel and Lillith may have a weird view on things but she was our heroine but her father had allll of this planned out and Inarius going crazy was part of his plan. Great story.
The statues are lost souls, you were right there at the end! Same with the arms reaching up from the chasm earlier on, and are either that of lost beings greater than humans, or an amalgamation of souls stitched or compressed together from an eternity of sinking deeper into Hell to create the massive arms... The embodiment of their one shared remaining desire within an eternity of suffering, a yearning for salvation, reaching towards the light far beyond their grasp, so far above.
I'm late to the party, but the super long spears are definitely reminiscent of a mazedonian phalanx :) So, humanity used spears like that in history to combat cavalry charges, it was incredibly effective.
Blizzard even going back to World of Warcraft days have had the most talented teams when it comes to intro movies. If they don't have awards on the walls then they really should.
Yup! I’m very new to this world, but found the cinematic super beautiful! I’m really happy somebody recommended this one to me. And a lot of people have chimed in and explained more about the lore and it’s all really vibrant and exciting. Thank you so much for checking it out.
In one of the cinematics from Diablo 3, you get to see more of that with another angel. Highly recommend those videos, as well as the intro video to Reaper of Souls, the expansion for it
If you're still looking for a recommendation, I'd put down the World of Warships "Wait for Me" cinematic and the War Thunder "Victory is Ours" cinemation as well as two cinematic shorts: "Dead Hand: FortressFortress/Крепость" - by Dima Fedotov | TheCGBros and "The Last Day of War" by the same. All of these are relatively short, a few minutes at most, so they're good for a bite sized analysis. Visually impressive too, so the viewers should approve!
how stupid does inarius have to be? a simple stab like that wouldn't finish lilith off especially when they are in hell and where she's at her strongest.
Those aren't statues in the hall where Lilith and Inarius fight, they are trapped souls, and the light plays off them in such a way that you aren't sure if the very subtle movement of the figures is just light playing with the surface or if they are actually moving... just brilliant.
A full movie of this would be so insanely cool!
Hell naw, Blizzard had their chance to make a good movie and they blew it big time.
Warcraft 2016 Movie is amazing btw.

One of the best, if not the best game cinematic I've seen. The detail was insane!
Ok. Legit so sick! What even was this?! Wow!!! Wild!!!!!!!
Been gaming for 25 years and I think this is my favorite cinematic of all time
yess i remember recommending this a bit ago love how yt brings me full circle
Heck yes! Thank you so much! I loved it
Unreal sick!!!

Yes please!! you are NOT GOING TO REGRET THAT ONE PLEASE
Your description of each shot is very informative and entertaining. Nice video
Very interesting to hear you break down the cinematic afterwards, lots of good points! Subbed for sure :)
Love from india assam❤
19:07 you are correct. The ground is repelling him.

Yeah, and my gaming buddies skip cutscenes. I sent the RUclips video to our chat with the quickness once they told me that 😅

You should make reaction to official trailer too
okay! I'm on it!

Blizzard Cinematic team never disappoint
You have to check warhamer astartes
I dont think the statues are moving, I think it looks like they do because of the light moving
I'd love to see your reaction to the latest "Vessel of Hatred" trailer
i'd love to see you react to the 'World of Warcraft - The War Within' cinematic, it looks absolutely insane.
Although wouldn't Inarius still be alive? She ripper off his wings so he would be mortal now, right?
I think because this happened in hell he would not survive.
Lilith is the one true mommy. The only one sanctuary could ever need. The only one that truly cares.
I feel like if you put the camera in front of you, you would miss less key details having to look away. I don't know.
Its ashame the game is failing
"You never see his face" lol that's the kind of comments we get , when ppl are oblivious to diablo lore ...
