Could you do Kindred theme pleassseeeee? It's a bit like Jhin, but more delicate, gentle and still got that eerie vibes that reflect the champion really well (really almost every lol players love their theme). I would also recommend: Nilah, the joy unbound (heavily Indiann-influenced), Gwen, the hallowed seamstress; Viego, the Ruined King (the last 2 have heavy use of strings and you should react them back to back as they have "connection" musically wise, and it would be fun if you can find out what connection that is). Thank you so much for this vid!!

jhin gun and his ultimate holds 4 shots*, jhin is obsessed with number 4, and this is vital part of his theme, hearing 4 shots/reloads at the start, and yes, everything about jhin is perfect, for a reason he is often said he is the perfect champion, in terms of design
also if you type jhin on your keyboard the order in which you press the buttons looks like a 4

Fun fact you can hear in 4:17 Aatrox's theme kicking in. In the lore, this is where Aatrox slays Pantheon, but he is resurrected just as when all hope is lost. Which is the amazing pause in 4:55 where he returns to fight Aatrox.

The strings in Jhin's theme sound so beautifully somber to me. It gives me visions of an actor performing for an audience of one: himself.
Jhin is a masterpiece.
And here's a fun fact : if Jhin has the "Collector" item and execute someone with its effect, instead of the usual "9999" being written, a "4444" is acually shown.

FYI Pantheon's theme is structured around his own story, the story of a man, Atreus, unworthy of the Pantheon war aspect (kinda his tribe's gods that can incarnatre themselves in chosen ones) but who got chosen and possessed by need, fell against a monster that slayed the Pantheon aspect forever and the rise of Atreus refusing his destiny and rising as a man, forcing his dead god that denied him to give him power through his will to live. You've got the first part with singing representing Atreus lookig for his god, then the Epic without singing representing Pantheon only, a metal part representing the foe winning coupled with hopeless singing from Atreus seeing his god dying and him at the same time then a silence and the rise of both the Epic and the voice representing the Man dominating his own destiny

6:28 Yes, Piltover and Zaun are the closest to Earth-like in the different areas of Runeterra, as there's Noxus and Demacia, wich have a more medieval esthetic and culture, up north is the Freljord, which is ruled by viking-like tribes, and the Frost guard, which have their own special looks, south to Piltover and Zaun is Shurima, a vast desert which houses some of the oldest empires in Runeterra, and there's so much more, which i can't even imagine how they plan to include in Arcane, now that Arcane is canon

To see how far LoL's lore goes right now:
-Pantheon is a man who ascended into a god that possessed and imprisoned him, only for the god to die at the blade of Aatrox. However, although it pierced enough to cease the god's life, it wasn't enough to defeat the man's sheer will, as for he has fallen countless times throughout his journey, he always stood up back. Now he seeks to confront the gods themselves who imprisoned him, as well as any threat who tried to kill him and his own kind, as the Unbreakable Spear of mankind.
-Jhin is both a serial killer and a talented artist. Not much is known of his own personal life, as for he's more known for the paintings he left within his victims. So in a way, he's the Virtuoso he thinks he is.
-Aatrox had it rough. Don't know if he became first a god or a general, but after becoming both he was corrupted by a certain war, and now he and other survivors of that fight became corrupted, sick of the immortality they had and the pain and horrors they have to endure for the rest of eternity; those were called the Darkin. Then, they tried to unleash oblivion on everything, which the non-corrupted gods liked at all, and one of them ended up sealing them into different weapons, only for them to come once more at the single touch of a fool's hand.
About aatrox. Bud just wanna die sadly he cant because of blood magic and the weapon (he is the sword) cant be destroyed easily. The same magic that they use to win the war against the void. But things started to fall off one by one after the war. They got PTSD, Lost their Emperor to a betrayal, and a certain someone in their ranks started controlling them which marks the great darkin war. Then a celestial sealed them on weapons using the moon so jump to present someone someone touched the greatsword of aatrox.
the gong in aatrox's theme also represents aatrox himself. its always there throughout the song even when the song quiets, because he cant be killed, only trapped in the blade temporarily.
jhin is obsessed with the number 4 amazing theme and one of my favorite league champs to play
some of my other favorite instrumentals are diana, aphelios and senna (actually i love so many themes i cant think of them all atm xD)
riot games has an entire orchestra in their music production team btw
My recomendations: Pyke theme, Fiddlesticks theme, Volibear theme, Swain theme, Lissandra theme (aka The Freljord theme)
Bard theme goes hard too

A self indulgent madman.
A wandering calamity.
I would love to see more if these, Riotgames has an incredible music team.
As for next i would say probably the themes of Poppy and Galio together, as they are mirrors of the same theme and a great way to show how melody and tone in music can be used to convey different feelings
I know that Aatrox's lore took a while to be properly fleshed out, but I would have REALLY liked it if his music captured even a little bit of the tragedy and despair of Aatrox's story. Yes, he's violent and massively destructive, but all of that is in service of a single purpose: *he wants to die.* His existence won't let him end his suffering and he hopes that destroying everything will finally let him rest in oblivion. That doesn't come across in his music, which is just scary and angry.
Not to mention, he has friends and allies in his fellow Darkin, who he fights to protect from a threat arguably even greater than himself, so as the Darkin General he has a sense of honour, loyalty and nobility as well, however twisted. I'm not sure how you could show that in music, but if anyone can I'm sure the folks at Riot could pull it off.

So glad you got around to more league themes! You've gotten some good recommendations already, but don't be afraid to check out the cinematics as well. 2018's "Rise", 2022's "The Call", and last January's "Still Here" are three of the most cathartic experiences I've had.
I love how much pantheon's song is like a summary his entire backstory. The first act is Atreus' possession, with the vocals fading while the brass takes over, the second act is him helplessly watching the god using his body to fight demons, with the final act being him finally being freed. The brass is still there but the vocals take over representing that he is in control of the god's power now.
Pantheon's theme has an amazing breakdown somewhere in RUclips, courtesy of the theme's actual composer (I believe his name is Edward Breneisen) who explains the thought processes, decisions, and followthrough on all the elements, motifs, instruments, etc
This was an incredible video to watch and your own additions/interpretations were amazing! I would LOVE to hear your own rendition of Pantheon's theme fully played out.
My favorite part about Pantheon’s theme is that its about Pantheon’s origin. The bass guitar section is specifically about him and Aatrox battling, with Pantheon managing to best him.

Fun fact: Music and Cinematics have always been Riot's only positive points...
I wouldn't say that. They've made a cool lore universe as well (although I wish they'd push the lore more), so cool in fact that my friends and I have been running a D&D campaign in it for years now.
Their character design has also vastly improved from the older days (although it can still be patchy at times). They're able to consistently make champions that are interesting, memorable and detailed, and in cases where they've made characters that were flat and bland for the sake of monetisation (looking at you Seraphine) they've shown that they're capable of updating them to become something much better (like the LoR version of Seraphine).
There's also Arcane, which I would call a lot more than just a 'cinematic': the fact that they were able to make such a phenomenal show working with Fortiche really goes to show the potential League has as a multimedia franchise.
Then, there's Riot's willingness to experiment with different game genres: although LoR is dropping off a little these days, they've got other Runeterra-themed projects in the works including 2XKO, a top-down action game and, in the farther future, the big one, the Runeterra MMO.
Don't let your perceptions of League specifically colour all of the good work that Riot has done. Balance and community issues for ONE GAME (albeit their biggest one) shouldn't be all that you take into consideration here.

they dont even do their own cinematics tho so only things they are good at are music and ui design.
@@Stolanis even though i respect your opinion, you must be delusional if their character design has gotten any better. i personally think its gotten way worse and uninteresting, even tho they are trying so hard to make them different and interesting. and lore wise, probably just an item description in elden ring has more depth than what riot has been able to deliver in a year. squeezing in some little stupid fun facts to loading screens isn't building lore and a world. lastly among other games they've made, only valorant has somewhat has been able to build some community. and their mmo, which was the only promising game other than lol, if i heard correctly, lost multiple game directors and is currently on hold.

This is so awesome to see, the league of legends soundtrack is truly amazing! I highly reccomend looking into Fiddlesticks, the Ancient Fear; lots of influence from old folklore stories/hymns and a truly unique and unsettling musical motif for the character.

Wonderful reaction, Jhin's theme is one of my personal favorites as well. It blends his themes of art and brutality so well while making a beautiful piece. If you want to look at more Champion Themes then I highly recommend Kindred's!

Sometimes life gets hard. I suddenly remember Pantheon Theme, play it 3\4\5 (thousands) times, and go on. For me is the best theme in the whole league roster.

Gwen, Senna, Hwei, Bel'Veth, Vex, Kindred. All of these themes are fantastic, though I do especially want to hear the reaction to Kindred's, Gwen's and Bel'Veth's themes especially !

Jhin's intro is one of my favorites in League Of Legend Discography. Using the gun as an instrument felt so different.

Jhin can be said to be the most artistic character among the games I have played, especially since art is connected with cruel killings, which is a very interesting setting.
Bro played jhin's theme, read that exactly as one of jhin's murderous play acts, got a bit of wild west vibes (his original idea was a killer cowboy android) and proceeded to get a perfect read of the character. Like he said, "Elegant beauty surrounded by chaos and destruction". Riot used all their inspiration on jhin and will never replicate such perfection ever again, RIP good champion design

These are just SOME of many out there, but they are arguably among the best ones.
To answer the 'different worlds/realms' question; This all takes place on a single planet known as Runeterra.
The current known continents of the planet are Valoran, Shurima and the Camavoran Continent. (the latter of which we have little info on) Most everything takes place in Valoran and Shurima. Valoran holding places like the Freljord, Demacia, Noxus and the Arcane cities of Piltover and Zaun with the latter acting as a bridge to the Shuriman contient which holds Expansionist Noxian territories, Shurima proper (where Aatrox hails from in ancient times), Targon (where Pantheon is from), Nozuma, Ixtal and (formerly) Icathia with multiple archipelagos such as Ionia (where Jhin is from) and The Shadow Isles. All this in what is the Runeterra Prime universe with each skinline being a different universe with their own stories.
All in all, its a very amazing world with tons of lore and potential.

would be nice if you could check the lore of the champs bf so you could catch some little details from the song that make reference to the lore like the the silence gap on pahant's song is like when he almost dies in the lore, so is like this tension of being near the end but never giving up, this is like phant's philosophy in his life ''never give up''

I'm so glad you touched League's music! You should definitely listen to Gwen, Vex and Viego themes. They are interconnected and remind me Rachmaninov's pieces.

Great video on Jhin's theme, imo it is one of, if not, the greatest gaming soundtracks out there. I remember my first time hearing it and I was blown away!
When league started adding some musical flare to their champions back in 2012, I was so excited. Even though Lulu was the first and simplest of the add ins for changing the login theme for her release, the one that hit me that very same year, was Diana's login theme. It doesn't have a lot, but it doesn't need to. Will always love it.

the themes can tell you about the champions, describe how the champions are, although you don't know anything about that champion
One of my favourites is Volibear’s theme.
Sounding like an epic Nordic saga (with a broken Icelandic dialect to give it that feeling of Scandinavian warrior’s ode)
Interesting that you hear themes of despair in Aatrox’ theme. He’s certainly capable of inflicting it on his enemies, be it as a colossal giant as depicted in Legends of Runeterra or the Goliath-like proportions (really tall but still close enough to human height) as depicted in Still Here… but this despair is also his own.
Corrupted by battlefield trauma against the Lovecraftian Void and abuse of Blood Magic he is trapped within his own blade.
A prisoner with an I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream fate when he has no host to possess and mold into a fallen parody of his former splendour. He cannot die, merely lose his host and be trapped within his blade again.
The noble general turned omnicidal maniac seeking the end of all things in the desperate hope that when all things stop, he may finally pass on.
I wanna see you react to the songs of various League Bands✨ those would definitely be fun to react to
14:20 Jhin isn't "fully understood" in the lore, but from what we do know about him, he's a perfect mixture like you described. He is a renowned serial killer from a region known as Ionia. But even though he is regarded like that, he never sees his kills as "kills" but artwork. Every death is a considered a stroke onto a canvas, there are even multiple voicelines from his character that compares his killing sprees to paintings, sculptures, or dance rehearsals. Few of my favorite lines that capture this philosophy perfectly is "I do not kill, it is the performance that kills.", "Death should never be quick...", "My work is simple. When I pull the trigger. They dance!", and like many people have referenced, his obsession with counting to 4. He sees every moment as a dance, when they run, he shoots purposefully so they dodge and weave through he shots as though he is a choreographer of death itself. As the magazine empties, his "dancer" gets closer to his closing act, making his 4th shot to be his grand finale . There is a league of legends cinematic that captures the mindset perfectly in visuals is called "Awaken".
Im legit surprised they made all of those TURNS in the Pantheon theme... they all were unexpected but accepted so well by my EARS! So Dynamic!!
As a proud Jhin main, I can confirm. Although I love to listen almost every champion and teaser musics, Jhin's theme is the best indeed.
I would go ballistic if you covered Unreal Tournament 1999's soundtrack, particularly foregone conclusion and skyward fire
for Volibear's theme, they made a mix of several languages to create a language appropriate to the region where the character comes from.

i never picked up on that western sounding part in jhins theme, and its probably a nod to the fact that his initial concept was a wild west themed robot sniper, which they made as his release skin high noon jhin. would love to see camille and kindred themes, as well as dark star cho gath

Okay this might be bit overestimating the reach of this game but Kenshi has (in my opinion) the greatest songs I have ever heard.
Im pretty sure any song in this game would be great, but the main song "Scorching Wind" is one of the few main menu songs Im always upset about not finishing.

The TLDR on Pantheon, he was a man born on Mt Targon, who one day climbed the mountain after his home was brutalized by another of the groups living in, and decided to climb to seek the power of the gods. His friend died, but he reached the top, and the Aspect of War, effectively the god of war, decided that Atreus couldn’t wield his power, so instead of giving it to him, the aspect possessed his body.
Years later, Pantheon battles Aatrox who’s seeking to kill the gods that imprisoned him in his weapon, and dies to Aatrox, but Aatrox couldn’t kill Atreus.
The constellation of the god disappeared from the sky, and Pantheon died, but Atreus survived, and kept his powers. Aatrox assumed he would simply die on his own and left him to die, but Atreus’ will was so powerful he survived.
If you do League of Legends again there's a few themes I'd recommend. I think the themes for Senna, Briar, and K'Sante are all super interesting. I also think you could review the music that was in Briar's trailer "Feeding Frenzy" (they uploaded the music separately) since is mixes two very different styles together.
One thing I greatly appreciate about League's champion themes is that a lot of them take their time creating an atmosphere or mood rather than simply launching directly into the melody.
Jhin's is a perfect example of this: the slow build-up, the accumulation of the mechanical gun sounds and the strings gradually layering, and best of all those sinister sound effects; even before you've heard the song proper, you already have an idea of what kind of person Jhin is. The way the sounds are handled, it feels like the intro is opening up a space, revealing a stage for Jhin to perform on - and THEN the violin comes in.
I greatly appreciate it when songs do this, just take their time and build up a feeling, a landscape of sounds, giving your ears and mind a place to just... exist in. Makes me want to listen to Mercy Street again.
That 5 note sequence at around 6:50 sounds like someone saying "He's a warrior" in a sing-songy-sing-alongy voice which is cool
