I don't see the point of stressing out, Craig takes things too personally and loves the melodrama . From day one when he (Trent) was
' umming and ahhing ' about whether he was staying or not. At THAT point he was as good as gone in my head. I had already made my peace with the fact that he was leaving. I saw Macca leave and Owen , and I know how that worked out for them. They both have never held the same respect , if any was even given. Than that freely handed out to the likes of Gerrard , a true hero. And club legend. Trent is in his prime , and I'm sorry , he will no doubt be a multi millionaire at this point. BUT if someone rolls up with a wheelbarrow overflowing with cash..... THAT is going to be awfully tempting and tough to turn down. If someone rocked up to you and said sign this but of paper and tomorrow your bank account will be 40 - 50 million better off. I don't care if he's already a millionaire. That sort of money turns heads. So instead of wingeing about it. Write him off , he's gone , thanks for the memories Trent, goodbye. I'd get whatever money we could get for him.., and donate it to charity (haha, I'm joking about that bit, although it would be brilliant , here's what we think of you Trent . However he'd probably think it was great that HE created charity money , he's that self centered. No, I'm not falling into that trap. The problem is it's very easy to get triggered by it all. It ISN'T worth the stress lads and ladies. Happy New Year to you and yours everyone btw.

If he wants to go let him go, simple. There was life before Trent and there will be life after Trent. People getting too attached to the his situation get on with your lives lads Liverpool football club will thrive with or without Trent. Connor Bradley more than ready to fill the void at right back and he’s proved it in every performance. Trent was key to klopps team and the way we played having him come into midfield etc, he isn’t key to slots Liverpool, slot wants more traditional full backs who are good at going forward and good defensively and Bradley is both.

I agree, we did more than fine after Mane, Firmino and best Super Sub , Origi left. But it will be more worse if Salah leaves. We have super good left and center attack, but no one in the whole world , can replace Salah fully. Especially not Chiesa or Elliot. Maybe Saka or Kulusevski can do ok. But they wont come to us. Besides none of those does even close as many goal contributions as Salah.
What people forget is Salah also do assist to assist to goal. (Hockey points/assist)

Think we will start seeing more and more players doing this, especially ones entering their prime, as it's clearly in their interest either way.
They are in a very strong position with negotiations with any team. Either the one they're still at or any team thinking to take them. They win financially.
I think this will become the new way of doing transfers in many instances.
Why pay 60 million when you know in 5 years players can leave for free.
Only thing that I'm really sad about with Trent is that's not manned up and just said honestly that he's thinking to leave.
If he leaves, he's burned his bridges to me. "It means more" more money ya cunt.

VVD's and Salah's contract not sorted out and Konate is injured. It takes only not extending the contract of 3 players to immediately cause a disruption in this team. Meanwhile Perez is working on Galacticos 3.0, Trent is offered guidance under the mentorship of 6x UCL winner Carvajal, he gets to live in the sun and plays with a squad which has covered nearly every position for the coming years with world class talent. Liverpool finally won once in 20 years against Madrid, do well in a league where the usual farmers finally fell on their face and they challenge for all competitions with an irreplacable 32 year old possible Ballon D'or winner who has to almost crawl for a new contract but this doesn't mean that this level is what we will see for the coming years. Especially when that 32 year old saved you many times from point loss and is responsible for over 67% of Liverpool's goals.

While we're in a league title race and potentially cups up for grabs to win it would be extraction for us as a club very similar to the "Klopp leaving" Moto from the media it didn't help us in the end especially for league title last season. I think he really started considering the idea of leaving once Klopp announced his departure. Then with how the season ended and a summer trip away with Bellingham has probably cemented in his mind that he wanted to go but for whatever reason, did not choose to say. This could be knowingly running down his contract for a big payday. This could be out of loyalty to see the club through an uncharted territory post Klopp. It could be a tentative hedging of bets to see how the Slot era proceeded. It could be all three (or none)
The big alarm bell for me is that both Mo and Virgil have said that they want to stay. Trent hasn't. He has only said that he wants to win a Ballon D'or - typically an award for the best player in the Spanish league. This enquiry from Madrid a couple of days before they can sign him to a pre-contract just sounds like a way to shift blame solely onto the club (whether instigated by the Trent camp, I don't know but its not a good look) by saying "Well the club could have made money from selling me but chose not to" knowing that this isnt going to happen with where we currently stand in the league and with Bradley and Gomez injured. Then talk of him as a full back wanting Salah money to stay. Its all got unnecessarily messy.
Its January 1st now and still no news (I'm hoping beyond hope that the club were just waiting for all to have signed to make an announcement) but I think we need to ready ourselves for three announcements that we are not going to like. If that's the case, I'll be gutted but they go with my thanks for the amazing memories and we as a club, as we have done when any big star or character has departed, we carry on moving forward.
