Have a nice trip! I'll be watching the meetings as always. And I don't want to forget to say how beautiful Cathy's poncho is ! Caryn's ribbing is awesome too!
Fabulous meeting, so many gorgeous projects being created and shown thank you! Lots of very welcome laugh out loud moments as well❤ 😂 My understanding about the brilliant Pullover Island documentary mentioned is that the distributors gave it a short public release on you tube. I hope that in time it becomes available in a more permanent way. Happy Icelandic adventures Frank!
What a wonderful trip. You will be missed . Glad Cathy is going to keep it going . LOL @ not being able to pronounce Icelandic words, try Welsh , I can not make heads nor tails of it. WALES = CYMRU ( COME REEE)
Hi frank. I am starting to plug in my info on your site. I'm stumped on part for gauge. Do I try and meet ball band gauge ? Or ... do I just knit until I get fabric that I like and measure that to plug in to info ? Yarn I have is a yarn that's been hanging around here. An acrylic weight 3. Red heart fashion soft. Now discontinued but , I should have enough of it for crew sweater. Thx for your help aka JoAnn
Jenny is right. One of the great advantages of the Phrancko patterns is that you don't have to match someone else's gauge, whether it was a designer or the ball band that specified it. In the Phrancko method, you generate your own swatch and enter your own gauge measurements that you naturally produce using your choice of needles and yarn.

Is the drops dk itchy? I have drops Nepal for the mellow mood sweater I'm trying now. And wondering if going to be itchy. Wish me luck !!!!!
The Drops Merino Exxtra Fine is not itchy at all. I don't know about the one you're using unfortunately.
