Great Review! The Hoyt strings have been great. the rx8 has no peep rotation at all and timing is still spot on after 1000 + shots. my only complaint with the bow is its killin my 11 ring. I'm on my second insert.
Thanks for the info! I’m glad to hear how the strings are holding up.
Man I like your reviews!!! Your so unbiased to a brand, even more this year! I with you on tuning aspect, less moving parts means less things to go wrong!
I pulled the trigger on a Rx8, still on order!
Thanks for watching, congrats on a sweet new bow.
Great work! Thank you very much.
Thanks for watching.
So, is your next video going to explain why you are choosing the Mathews Lift over the Hoyt RX8 Ultra for your backpack elk hunt? Given your positive review, I assume that is the bow you will be choosing. Only question is will it be the 29.5 or the 33. Looking forward to it. Pretty sure my new bow will be the Hoyt... thanks for the quality reviews.
Thanks for explaining. At 27.5 inch it should give a higher speed
Nice review man. Still holding on to my rx7u. Awesome bow for sure. Your right, carbon $ through the roof. Though the Alpha x 33 in the balance. I seen your review on the x33, are you goin shorter ata?
I'm 27.5" dl. 5' 7" big boy like your self. Lol
I am planning to go to a shorter bow this year.
Shot most of the new flagship bows and the rx8 is where I am going for midwest whitetail. Hard to beat the 30 in and carbon in my opinion.
It’s a sweet bow for sure
I'm local to Grafrton's and will hopefully get by there in the next couple weeks to upgrade from the Bear. Probably will tick to aluminum bows, and will also consider Bowtech. Looking forward to it!
I have been really impressed with the Bowtech bows this year
@@BuffaloCreekOutdoorsOfficial I left the shop with a lift 33. Gave them all a good try though.
@@kip.k that’s an awesome bow.
The question now is, Lift 29.5 or RX8/Alpha X? Which one you carrying?
Haha I’m still not sure what I will be shooting.
Why did you give the shorter ata carbon such a shitty (shootability) score?
The axle to axle is not the only measurement to take into account for shoot-ability. Also a 5 is not a bad score, just means that it’s middle of the road.
@@BuffaloCreekOutdoorsOfficial ok, can you explain why the Lift at 29.5 gets a 8/10 for shootability but the Hoyt 30 ata got a 5/10? They gave similar reflex, similar riser length and the Hoyt has a larger more forgiving brace height then the Lift.
@@toddlymburner5783 I will be doing a video here soon. Measuring the riser length, brace height, and reflex of the riser of all the new bows. This will hopefully give a more concrete number for people to see where I get my shootability numbers from.
@@BuffaloCreekOutdoorsOfficial looking forward to it my man. I appreciate you taking the time for that stuff.
@@toddlymburner5783 I enjoy it. If I’m wrong, I like to find out so I can give better info as well as use it to make my own decisions.
