Woah, you look very pretty Shruti! I don't know if this is your attire or your pitch, this video seems to be more matured, more calm and more settling to me. And as always, something to pick up from your recommendation, though I'm not exactly the beginner in terms 😀. Norse Mythology (the cover design of the paperback is awesome) and Train to Pakistan (historical Fictions are the best) are already in my TBR. Not to forget Kite Runner, i loved it. I've finished And the mountains echoed few days back and felt that with all prowess of Khaled Hosseini, this book lacks the guilelessness of Kite runner, narration is rather abrupt (rocking back and forth without much hints) and complex than the Kinte runner. Now I look forward to read Thousand Splendid Sun very soon.
Tuesdays with Morrie !! What a STAR this book is. I read Raptor Rising , indeed the book is captivating and somehow fascinating storyline but I feel it has more of sexy approach and dark shades facts and I am kind off ok-ok with the book. But again , other than this I really enjoyed reading it! Thanks for your valuable recommendations!! ❤❤❤❤
great recommendation ☺️ i have choose norse mythology and just haven't met you yet. Are you planning to read DUNE . It is one my tbr but i will read it after your review on DUNE. 🙃.
@@detectivedaffodil437 The other one from this video is really good - People We Meet on Vacation. Or there is an audible original audiobook called Call Me Maybe - that’s also very cute!! But you’ll need an audible account for that one.
First things first, Shruti u r looking beautiful 😍 And the audio book of (train to Pakistan) Its in hindi but the narration is omg😮. And please make a video on (enemies to lovers) genre.
I read the norse mythology and I loved it even I'm an marvel fan but my most fav characters are captain America , Hawkeye and I even like Captain marvel coze she's a strong female character
If you are fan of mcu You should read magnus chase and the gods of asgard BY Rick Riordan. And it is way better than peacy jakson series It really enjoyed much than pearcy jakson . (I know who am I to recommend you but still🙃)
I have not read Ramayana anywhere. All I know are bits and pieces from what grandma told me😂. Do you have any suggestion for an engaging and quality read, where the story of ramayana is told, Shruti?
Okay so what I did was that I first read The Forest of Enchantments which tells you the whole story of the Ramayana. And then I read The Liberation of Sita and got the satisfying take on the Ramayana from Sita's point of view haha. You can try that out maybe? Or you could read Devdutt Pattanaik's Sita. I haven't read it but I really liked Jaya which was his retelling of the Mahabharata.
@@gadhasr6118 Okay if you want an engaging retelling, read The Palace of Illusions! It has beautiful writing and goes through all the major events of the Mahabharata.
I like the ending of Train to Pakistan ..it was emotional and heartbreaking as Juggut Singh sacrifice his life in a brutual way in order to save the lives of the people 😭
U look so pretty 😍 I read Raptor Rising and like the idea of an alpha female serial killer but for me the starting threw me off a bit. I am not sexy killing fan! It appeared to be a B-grade movie. It was an okay read for me just for the ending it had; else it would hv been a disaster.
Yeah I can see how it's not for everyone. I found it so unique and captivating. Also has the shock value! Oh by the way!! I bought Sita's Sister on Kindle. Looking forward to reading it!!!
Lol you're recommending Kite Runner to BEGINNERS? Guys that's a disturbing book take this woman's recommendations with a grain of salt. Here's her own video which says this book destroyed her : ruclips.net/video/maF612f5LD4/видео.html Madam thoda toh accountable bano.
See Bro, beginner friendly books should both be easy read (vocabulary, sentance construction etc) and to capture the reader, and help the reader to continue his/her reading forward. I guess if you are a reader, you'll get that right. And you'll agree that a fresh reader can be attracted by many things depending upon personal choice, can be a adventure, suspense thriller, comic, lovestory, historical fiction, horror etc. It is not necessarily a feel good book in that sense, but the one you're aligned with, you feel it with your soul, that reading that one book is demanding you to read more. Kite runner is such a book, if you read it already, you know by yourself, or you can ask any Khaled Hosseini reader, what his writings are capable of. If you feel strong emotion with any book you are reading for the first time, you'll automatically be attracted to read book of same genre. We've all felt same way more or less I guess. Shruti has put her recommendations, and you're more than welcome to put your recommendation of beginner friendly books here. So, please help yourself with more broad spectrum of reading experience and join us.
