Obvious "gentleman's gang assembly" meme aside. Seeing the disappointment in their faces after a fail lowkey hurts. They spent so much time and effort all year to get this one moment to shine in front of the stress of cameras and the world. Just to flop because for some reason you weren't on your A-game that day of all days. Man the feeling must be terrible I feel so bad my heart cringes
Sorry with that many experianced atlethes failing at the jump i would say that their is techincal error something at the jump site is not correct mis alined catch pocket for pole or misdistanced between takeoff point and goal posts/bar or maybe wrong kind of flex pole for that jump.
1) This sport is REALLY hard! 2) All praise for the ones who stand up smiling and laughing rather than beating themselves up. 3) I hope none of these women were harmed in the making of this video!
I say this with the utmost Respect possible. These young ladies are all incredible athletes. This sport takes strength, agility, experience and timing. The thought of doing something like this in the rain is a daunting task.
Actually, I think the organizers were reckless to have them compete in rain or wet conditions! What if someone got seriously injured because of the unfavorable conditions?
I really thought there was a mark or a line to show when to put the pole down and vault. From this video looked like it was all guess work. Yeah that is supper tough then to add the pressure of eveyone watching. Honestly they all did a great job!

Toughest event to practice. Those who think light of these athletes should go to the stadium and try to practice the jump. My respect and regards to all these tough sports persons.
