      HDJ 2000.
      Sir, have you compared the X10 to the HDJ2000 MK1? I love the highs of 2000, they're so soft and unfatiguing. What about highs on X10?

    • @phable
      @phable  4 года назад

      Hey, unfortunately I haven’t. All I can say is that the highs of the X10 are perfect for my taste. Not overhyped and very linear. Can listen to them all day.

    Hi, hands down, the best review I've come a cross in a while. Ordered my X10's yesterday. Got at gig at a wedding in Tuscany in September coming up. Did you spend any time on "listening" them in when you first got them? With the different cables etc. Thanks so much for great review! Regards / Jens

      Depends on your preferred loudness. With 36 ohms, the Pioneer needs a little bit power :)

    Hi there! I'm thinking about getting these for music production. Do you use for studio needs as well? Initially the verge article also turned me away from these but I remembered just how good the HDJ2000s were. They were on a level above any headphone I have listened to in my life.

    You have to have a phone that can push them decent. My rare LG V30 has the amped up power wired jack. my Pioneer v7 ones. Was recently flying on a 9 hr flight. All the ppl freaked bc their bluetooth headphones died. (Supposed to be a 3 hr flight).
    I will never listen to bluetooth. The LG Vg30 can adjust highs and lows.
    Pioneer cans still cranking after 6 years of abuse

    1. отличный обзор! наверное это даже не обзор, а правдивый рассказ про личные ощущения (и да, это правда, что у каждого будут свои личные ощущения)
    2. давно использую Sony MDR V700, во всём устраивают (и в дизайне, и в звуке - очень я их люблю), но у них одна общая беда - ломаются пластиковые дужки в местах крепления, морально устарели и нигде больше не выпускаются.
    3. поэтому, думаю перейти именно на эти (в своё время, лет 15 назад использовал первые Pioneer HDJ 1000, тоже были отличные).
    ---
    1. excellent review! perhaps it's not even review and truthful story about personal feelings (and yes, it is true that everyone will have their own personal feelings)
    2. long time use Sony MDR V700, in all satisfied (and in design and sound - very much I love them), but they have one common problem - broken plastic shackle attachment points, outdated, and nowhere else available.
    3. Therefore, I think go on these (at the time, 15 years ago used the first Pioneer HDJ 1000 were also excellent).

    Also and A+H guy myself... not slighting Pioneer by any means. I love A+H mixers (Rotary Xone 92 owner here).... I've always been drawn to the Pioneer Headphones as I've found they don't distort the bass. The only comparable headphone that I used for many years before my HDJ 2000MK1's were the Sennheiser HD280 pro...which I feel are more of a monitoring headphone than a DJ headphone. The bass never distorted in them. I hated the way they looked as if my head was in between a clamp. Not I await my X10s.

    • @phable
      @phable  3 года назад +1

      Couldn’t agree more. The Xone 92 had that beautiful warm and rich sound which made Mixing a joy. I wasn’t a fan of the Xone headphones tbh. Bulky, weird sounding and too loud. Now I’m happy

      @@phable Finally got the HDJ-X10s. Absolutely beautiful, gorgeous sounding.... and spot on. I find sometimes I don't even need to put the ear cup on my ear......It can even go on my lower ear lobe, and I can still monitor quite well. I'm a one ear on and one ear off sort of dj.... and I definitely feel these are a complete upgrade from my HDJ 2000MK1s. Thank you for your video and your inspiration for me to make the jump.

    So I know this is an old review but I just picked up a pair of X10s very gently used for $120. Don't even see any usage on them at all like mint.
    The volume is absolutely insane. I first tested them on my phone with an adapter and at 70% volume it's almost too loud already lol
    Also tested on my PC and at 30% is probably the max I would put them on to not damage my hearing any more than it already is😂
    So speaking of sound after putting a little eq on them they sound great. Not as good as my Hifiman Sundara but still very clear. Also good bass response and not too aggressive highs. Only complaint I have is they are marketed as "over-the-ear" headphones...how the hell is that possible? I don't have super large ears but I can not see these being something else than on ear. The cups would have to be quite a bit larger for them to be over ear. Or am I missing something?

    • @Bootrosgali
      @Bootrosgali 8 месяцев назад

      Oh dear, I don't like the sounds of the size.. darn

    • @yourAVGconsumer
      @yourAVGconsumer 8 месяцев назад

      @Bootrosgali yeah they were odd sized. But I got around that. I ordered a set of 3rd party earpads on Amazon and those earpads have a little larger opening. And are way more comfortable to wear than the stock earpads. Only paid $16.99 for the earpads and a headband cover included as well. Can highly recommend getting that when u think of getting those headphones
