i bought TONS of these off Ebay around 10 years ago. Pretty cheap at the time. I liked buying 'unsearched' GPK lots that came from garage sales and attics. I ran a card shop back in the 90's and never really abandoned it. My wife hates them though cause i still leave em all over the place. And my NES games and M.U.S.C.L.E figurines lol
Garbage pail kids were pretty cheap up until about 6 or 7 years ago but not now, I'm so old I remember when you could go to a flea market and literally buy a wax box of them with 48 packs for $5....yes literally $5 , it was around 1991-1993 when they were that price
❤❤❤ I had so much fun watching your top 10? I remember we'd run to the ice cream truck and that bubble gum scent as we'd open and trade cards. The 1st and 2nd series were the best! My teen and I were laughing at how gross and so wrong these cards were BUT nonetheless still so awesome! New subscriber here🙋♀️
That’s so cool you bought the entire series at that price, great pick up. I used to collect these as a kid too, then lost my stash, ended up buying some random stack of them from eBay like 15 years ago but never looked into it enough to know there were different series and such. These were so much fun as a kid.
I was born in 1975 and had a penny candy shop in the general store a mile outside of town that sold GPK as soon as they came out. I was lucky enough to get some original first series cards and most of the 2nd through 4th series while I still lived there. Unfortunately they were all lost though moving to different places.
I was born in 79 and wow, what a blast from the past. Amazing. It’s a shame as no sooner had I started collecting them, they then vanished. These were probably the first thing I can remember being in to when I was a nipper. The 80s, the good old days. The days of horror, heavy metal and garbage pail kids, what a decade.
Fran Fran from the OS2 set is a replacement to Schizo Fran that happened during production. Schizo caught negative attention and Topps changed it to Fran Fran . Checklists reverses also changed on Ray Gun, Rappin’ Ron, Vile Kyle and the counterpart Disgustin’ Dustin (going on memory here)…I’m actually an original owner of all OS sets 1-15, perfectly preserved from the day I started buying them in 1985. These OS sets have individual cards that contain all kinds of varying errors, anomalies, replacements , and fun facts behind them . With a little research, pretty easy to find the best websites and communities that are great groups to follow. Thanks for the video.
Im jealous! I have most series 1 and 2, but some are pretty beat up. I was 7 when i got my first pack back in 85. I even remember where i bought my first packs, twin city beverage, downtown neenah Wisconsin. For 25 cent! I still collect to this day.
I've been on Ebay the last 4 years trying to buy back all the GPK I used to have, in 2007 I had no ideal how valuable those late series would be someday (11th-15th original series) and sold them all off for peanuts, I had 3 boxes of them and each box was 5,000 cards, we had one box with all 15th series just tons and tons of doubles of all the cards and didn't realize that being the last set in late 1988 is what would make them more rare and valuable...
I ❤ goi! I was the only 2nd grade girl in my school that was with all the boys trading card and sticking them to just about anything. I still have a whole bunch from then.. my faves peepin Tom too funny leaky Lindsay. Makes me smile when I think about them and my childhood! 🤣
What was your favourite card regardless of series? Some of my favourites were:Have a nice Dave/Fat Matt(of course)/Mick Daggers(guy in a red suit and hat with daggers through him)Hot Doug(a guy on a bun with mustard on him being eaten) and probably my favorite was Fried Franklin(Benjamin Franklin lookalike being eiectrocuted showing bones an a red outline)What ones do you dig ?
Hi There. I'm from argentina. I have one gpk toy is an american footballer from 1984 OAA inc. Someone knows what it cost?? I can find another like it on Ebay or any market place. Thank u all!!!!
Comics was the worste investment i ever made as a kid. I bought all the coolest issues. Always pre orderd so i wouldnt miss anything. Bagged em. Boarded em. To this day, 99% of those comics didnt gain a damn dime in value. I remember buying the first Spiderman ( 1990ish) Venoms, Carnages, Death of Superman, Death of Batman, Wolverine.......all crap. I think the wolverine was the best investment compared to all the others
Oh, the pre-political correctness days when everybody made fun of each other. The transvestite dude with fishnet stockings got my mom riled up back in the day. She was gonna complain to the company.

I agree. Simpler times and the nostalgia of those times make me whole again. Love these cards.

Amazing collection! I used to set my albums up with aliases next to each other if possible.
I start d collecting again myself. I wish I would’ve kept my 85 series but I was 8 years old so you know how that went
I love GPK, glad you do too! It’s the one thing I kept from my childhood. You should definitely think about grading the more valuable ones.

Pretty cool. I use to have a few of these back in the day. But I was never a big collector.
