"bAtmAN hAd nO MotIVaTioN" If there's one piece of unnecessary criticism thrown at BvS (there's a lot) its that. Bruce experienced: *Black Zero event first hand and the decimation of Metropolis and thousands. *Superman's framing in Nairomi in which a village was burned down and many civilians died. *Knightmare. *Congressional bombing. *Loss of Dick Grayson's Robin. What more motivation did the guy need?
Imagine the opening of Captain America Civil War with the Battle of New York from Avengers 1 from Zemo's point of view. Just like here, we'd see Zemo making his way through the battle to find his family, and he tries to dodge Chitauri falling from the sky with some Avengers appearing for a few seconds. Zemo might even dodge a fucking leviathan, all to find the building where he lives destroyed.
I take it back, He would Definitely care enough to try something. Bales Batman would probably be running around in his Suit trying to save as many people as possible, Either that or he somehow manages to use a Weapon version of the nuclear bomb in TDKR to help fight the Kryptonians. From what we’ve seen in The Flash, Keaton Batman would not give a F.
Seeing the kids in the extended version kinda made me tear up. Because they’re so innocent and can’t fully understand what’s happening, but the adults with them do and they’re still trying to sound cheerful so the kids don’t get scared.
ur batman? which part? the part where his dumb ass employees don't know when to leave a building unless the boss says so? lmao... i can't wait for u to be slaves in the future
Both two scenes- Death of Waynes and Black Zero Event- depict that Bruce keeps running away from /towards his most traumatic experiences. And both events ultimately generates his sense of powerlessness. Therefore, eliminating Superman is not simply the sacred act of preserving the human legacy, it's more redemption of his own sense of guilt. Apparently, he was wrong, that's why Zack Snyder argues that Martha scene is the only moment of divinity throughout the film. And that is the moment when Batman regains his clarity and his own value of being the caped crusader.
I love that scene where Bruce runs into the smoke, when everyone is running away. Because Bruce isn't just a superhero because he's got these special powers... he doesn't need his suit to be brave. There are people who need his help. People who need both Batman, Bruce Wayne, just anyone. And that's why he saves Wally... that's why he saves that little girl in the next ten seconds after the video ends. AND THAT'S WHY HE HATES SUPERMAN. He sees that little girl... and he sees himself. The anger he's felt since he was an eight year old boy... it's back. Superman's battle with Zodd orphaned that little girl. Was it for the greater good? Yes... but tell that to the little girl who's looking for a mother that's not coming back. Batman is that hero that bridges the gap between superhero, and regular hero. Between cop and legend. He fights the war when it needs to be fought, but he doesn't stop when the Doomsdays and the Jokers are locked up. He fights to make sure no eight year old kid loses their parents... because of some punk with a gun.
And by the way, that's part of what makes this scene so special: BECAUSE it ties into the "Save Martha" scene. Bruce asks the distraught girl where her mom is and he relates to her, looking to the skies to see Superman crashing through buildings - he looks at him with the SAME despair and anger as he looked toward the man who took his own mother from him. THEN later, he happens to stand over Superman triumphant in battle and Superman's last request is to "Save Martha". Afterward, Lois stands between Bruce and Clark and says that Martha is "his mother's name". And with that, Bruce sees that he is in the SAME position as the killer who took his parents from him as well as the SAME position he felt he was in when he comforted the little girl who lost her own mom to the terror Superman tried to stop. This time though, Superman was the amalgam of the girl and Bruce; a victim about to lose his mother.
1:45 that entire scene makes me think of the beggining of Infinity War when tony, bruce, strange, and wong walk outside and see the thanos spaceship and meanwhile everybody is running away they all walk straight into the action
Justice League was a bit limp, but I never got the criticism on BvS. I've been watching Superman since he was played by Reeves and Batman since Keaton, and this movie portrays them both at their best.
What on earth does 9/11 even have to do with this? And don’t use the “it’s supposed to be a commentary on how society is like post-9/11 cause that is just flat out delusional and retarded.
I'm just wondering why anyone's still in those buildings at all. I mean, you'd _think_ Metropolis would've issued some sort of evacuation order or something.
Weird that I'm always hearing fans say the movie is too dark when this came out, and when Justice League was around, they said it's too light and happy, bring back Snyder. So Everytime I heard that, it seems that the can't even make up there mind or basically don't even know what they want.
I like Dark Movies but I never cared for how these films looked Metropolis and Gotham have no character look like generic East Coast cities never got the feeling that i was in Gotham or Metropolis. Metropolis doesn't have its ironic Art Deco futuristic utopia look (Bioshock is a great example) while Gotham doesn't have its dystopian Gothic Art Deco look its own for the last movie I felt pulled off Gotham really well was Tim Burton give us that with a more Dark story and that would be amazing. The video games on the other hand are amazing the Arkham Series looks great even has that 1940s modern feeling where people still wear and drive older cars and clothing and from the Suicide Squad game trailer Metropolis is just how i imagined it.
Most of the people who complain about dark movies are people who took their kids in to see a movie after the trailer and comic con footage had war and gritty death, after having a lot cut out in order to just barely make a PG13 rating. When I saw the movie at least 3/4 of the theater had kids with them talking about how badass the movie looked, how it looks like a true war and it looks so gritty, and then by the hour or two hour mark they were all walking out complaining about the same thing. Parents take their kids in to see things like Deadpool, and complain, but not much gets done because it's subtle enough to pass off as a cartoon or blame the theater employee for not doing their job.
@@CaptainAmercia are you really talking about dark movies or just talking about the locations I agree on it tho I do hope the location gets more character if they ever make be. Aflecks solo Batman movie

@@secretname2093 the movie failed to introduce this character correctly. But the scene still makes no sense. It's practically a damn comedy. Also if Jack is supposed to leave and get himself out, why is Bruce driving full speed to Wayne Tower where Jack is and where most of the blast is happening? *Knightmare.

Wonder what Bales Batman or Keatons Batman would do in this Situation. I, for one know Pattinson’s Batman wouldn’t care as much.
Yeah Nolan Batman would be riding around in his Batmobile, Shooting Falling Debris and helping Civilians evacuate.
Seeing the kids in the extended version kinda made me tear up. Because they’re so innocent and can’t fully understand what’s happening, but the adults with them do and they’re still trying to sound cheerful so the kids don’t get scared.

Superman showed no mercy. Neither did Zod.
That music though when he runs into the dust cloud 2:54
that is exactly the slower version of the music from the iconic opening scene.

Here comes Batman
He fights to make sure no eight year old kid loses their parents... because of some punk with a gun.
thechosenjoshua Beautifully said
thechosenjoshua very well said
Well said sir...

RIP to Jack, real MVP. Got everyone out before himself. A selfless man.
Weird that I'm always hearing fans say the movie is too dark when this came out, and when Justice League was around, they said it's too light and happy, bring back Snyder. So Everytime I heard that, it seems that the can't even make up there mind or basically don't even know what they want.
idk why people hate dark movies. i was a little disappointed in ww94 it wasnt nearly as dark as the first ww
Can't please 'em

1 - Wonder Woman
2 Batman: introduce jack as a side character that’s very close to bruce (possibly knows hes batman)

4 - bvs: jack dies due to the war in mos, but now that he was featured in a previous movie his death holds 10x more weight. It’s already sad don’t get me wrong but there was so much wasted potential.

Even the minor characters like Jack stole the scenes, his effort to get the employees out of harm's way and accepting his fate...
But the scene still makes no sense.
An alien attack with thoussmds pf explosions and seismic tremors is happening, why would they need Bruce to tell them to leave as if they have zero awareness to understand the situation they are in? It's practically a damn comedy.
Also if Jack is supposed to leave and get himself out, why is Bruce driving full speed to Wayne Tower where Jack is and where most of the blast is happening? Wouldn't that be redundant??
Plus who tf is Jack? It should have been Lucius Fox or any other character that fans would instantly link with Batman and therefore have us care about the character more
@@2Good2BeTrue45 True, it makes no sense. Why Jack and other employees aint out yet when they can clearly see that there is an alien invasion
@@2Good2BeTrue45 Furthermore, I'm pretty sure Bruce has cell coverage in Gotham.
@@2Good2BeTrue45 it’s not obvious that evacuating the building is the best idea or even possible, as there could be too much damage on the floor, like 9/11. Bruce got there and seen for himself that the ground was clear plus... it’s an ALIEN INVASION THEVE NEVER EXPERIENCED THAT BEFORE they have no idea what to do.
