“Every fairytale needs a good old fashioned villain.” Great finale. Moriarty was really far more interesting in this sesason, and he is gone now but it will be nice to see some new stories involving other villains :) And Watson's already had his miracle but he doesn't know it yet, very curious on how the encounter with Sherlock will turn out.
Imagine... just IMAGINE IF YOU CAN that when this originally aired, we had to wait TWO years for Season 3. Lord have mercy it was wretched, let me tell you... (great reaction, guys!)
just wait until season 3 and 4, it’s just as crazy if not crazier than this episode! i love this series so much so i’m very happy once i saw this in my recommended feed
Oh my god yes- you now *that* scene that gave me a heart attack I was like not expecting THAT at all (I hope you know what I’m talking about) 😂I just sat there 2 minutes speechless with my eyes wide open being like How tf 😂 uff yeah they’re definitely up for a ride ! 😌👌🏻
Lestrade was under a lot of pressure because he just lets Sherlock solve every case and stick his nose into police business. I totally understand that he folded. But I guess he still believes in Sherlock.
I agree to be honest but i was more surprised how fast he flipped with no investigation into past cases etc. the episode would of dragged on though so it is okay for the sake of pace :)
@@Marielusi I guess working with Sherlock for so long has damaged his confidence lol. Lestrade is such a good character though and we missed him in the one episode they dropped him.
this is my favorite episode of "sherlock". i'm still kicking my own butt for not following the hype of the show and not experiencing it as it was unfolding "live".
@Me me yooo that would suck to wait until it releases in your own country 🥲 I mean the waiting in general would’ve killed me probably so I’m quite happy that I found the show after series 4 was finished no waiting- could binge all the episodes which was literal HEAVEN the only thing I would’ve loved to follow live were John‘s real life Blog and Sherlock’s website as well as Molly’s diary that would’ve been so cool man
Perfect just asked for the reaction and there it is🥲😍 ahh as I already told you I bloody love this episode the writing was just mad and some of the dialogues were just out of this world! The interaction between Molly and Sherlock where she was like „You look sad when you think he can’t see you“ ? brilliant. The first time Sherlock actually noticed Molly, because it was the first time someone really saw through him.. then the whole encounter on the rooftop, the dialogue between Sherlock and Moriarty; „I may be on the side of the angels but don’t think for one second, that I am one of them“ absolute perfection 😩👌🏻 Moriarty is the personification of a mad man! He was SO obsessed with Sherlock and wanted to win SO bad that he would’ve done everything to win.. literally. Damn. Totally didn’t expect that to happen during my first time watching. And you’re up for a ride with seasons 3 & 4, let me tell you.. ! Btw there is a 7 minute official web- episode here on youtube named „Many Happy Returns“ that takes place before the events of 3x1 ! I would definitely recommend you to watch it since it adds to the storyline!! Since it’s only 7 minutes, you two could maybe react to it as well before starting your reaction to 3x1 ?😊Would definitely be nice😌! And yeah there’s a big storm coming😌😏 .. seasons 3 and 4 had some moments that really left me open- mouthed- speechless for a few minutes just thinking wtf ..
Episode air dates: 15 January 2012 (UK) 20 May 2012 (US) Many of us were already familiar with Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Brett series when this aired. (I am waiting to see reactions to that.)
"I wonder if Moriarty is coming back in, if he is going to have a part to play again" LOL! By the way, in the original books, Sherlock Holmes dies at the Reichenbach Falls. I think both Holmes and Moriarty fall into them. There was public uproar and so eventually, Conan Doyle brought him back.
Wonderful episode. Amazing show. Love it so much. The only great show with the same kind of humorous vibe is Dexter (but you have to finish seasons of Lost first before starting Dexter as there is the same actor in both shows and it's just better to watch Lost first.) And we spent years between season 2 and 3 of Sherlock breaking our brains trying to figure out how he managed to stay alive! Actors got so busy between seasons playing in Hollywood movies that it took forever to make the show (it felt this way to me.) There was a short video before the start of 3d season that we all watched as an intro to 3d season, I saw someone in comments already mentioned it to you. It's called Sherlock Mini-Episode: Many Happy Returns - Sherlock Series 3 Prequel - BBC One. Watch it if you can, Rob and Trin.
My reaction seemed to have disappeared? Could have been I put op the link for a little prequel the BBC aired on Christmas Eve, IDK, just make sure you see/react to "Sherlock: Many Happy Returns" before starting to watch the beginning of Series 3.
And ofcourse the mentioning of Steven Moffat en Mark Gatiss telling us it would be hard to make new series cause Cumberbatch and Freeman gotten to big for them to keep, so this could be the last series. So after this episode, Mark Gatiss put up the tweet: Gotcha! And of course there'll be a third series! It was commissioned at the same time as series two!!

WOW!!! That is crazy :(
A long two years at that.
This episode is so great but so infuriating. I don't rewatch it often, but oi. It is an epic bit of chaos
its one of the episodes that hurts to rewatch
this episode is one of the best things that had ever happened to me
Great shock value and we were totally gripped from start to finish! :)
factsss
In the books Sherlock actually dies with Moriarty after falling down the reichenbach falls
He was supposed to, but was brought back by Arthur Conan Doyle cause of demand
And if you experienced it in real time then would begin two years of nonstop theories and headcanons of how Sherlock survived. Good times
just wait until season 3 and 4, it’s just as crazy if not crazier than this episode! i love this series so much so i’m very happy once i saw this in my recommended feed
We can't wait to watch next season :D
