This truck, in commercial chassis cab with that bed shown in your pictures is just what the American working person needs and that XPRo is just what American truck lovers want. A diesel six speed manual… WOWOWOWOW!!!! That’s my choice immediately!!! Thanks for taking time to consider this and thank you for bringing American good solid cars at fair prices
Unfortunately they can't. It's not financially possible. They'll be hit with the chicken tax. I think first and foremost they'll see how sales are globally and whether it's worth developing a north American model built somewhere in north America. It would require a lot of work.. but hopefully, I do like how it looks.
It will eventually comes to US, guarantee. With only so much they manufacture in Korea, they are testing waters for global market for this year but I feel like it will comes to US next year just like how they do in some of their lineups. There is a hint with their drive mode, US is included with the Offroad/Sand.
If you don't have anything nice to say, just design your own pickup truck from scratch and see if anyone likes it. Kia! You did great!! Impressive!! I hope I can get one of those! Bravo!
It's atrocious. It's going to be the ugliest Truck on the market.. Kia really screwed up.. Their vehicle design is usually pretty good...This is atrociously bad visual design. It looks so ugly. It's no longer on my shortlist. I dont care what specs it has.. If I hate looking at it every day then I'm not going to buy it....Huge disappointment. They should have got Izuzu to design them a front end instead...They know how to do it well.
That Truck has the body to fit a proper V6 (an updated version of diesel & gasoline engines from Kia Borrego + Hybrid, as sample). What happened, guys?
Everyone has their own standards, but as a human being, there is a minimum level of aesthetics. This car broke that. You can't put something like this out there. Don't commit a crime against humanity.

It looks like a cheap Chinese ripoff. The actual hell were the designers thinking? I honestly don't know where to start complaining about this. The entire front of the ute is cooked, why not use the front of the Sorento? And those side wheel arches are god awful. On what planet did someone think that a straight line was a good design? Wrap it around the wheel arch for gods sake. And no V6 turbo diesel option? This has all the makings of a car that deserves to fail. I would sooner buy a discontinued Mercedes X-class over this.
I am thoroughly disappointed by the appearance of the new Kia truck. The renderings circulating online presented a striking and powerful Tasman, but the final product falls flat in comparison. It is clear that Kia missed a crucial opportunity to learn from successful competitors like the Toyota Tacoma, Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon, and Nissan Frontier. First and foremost, there is a glaring lack of information regarding the truck's body structure, suspension, frame, and drivetrain. The performance figures are simply unacceptable, with only 310 ft-lbs of torque and less than 300 horsepower-completely inadequate for today’s standards! This truck unequivocally needs a more refined model designed specifically for the U.S. market. A redesign is absolutely necessary, as the current model resembles an awkward hybrid of a Jeep Gladiator and a Kia Telluride, which diminishes its rugged appeal. Kia must step up and deliver a vehicle that truly embodies strength and capability.
This thing is hideous looking 😂 totally missed the mark of what a pickup truck embodies. they give you half the headlight, half the tail light, half the wheel fender flares, mass plastic front grill… no tough bulk stance… and weird proportioned a pillar front windshield design. The designer gave half the effort to this vehicle. LOL. Flop flop
Very ugly. Terrible visual design.. I am in the market for a new Truck and I was very interested in this based on CG mockups...(which looked cool) this ugly monstrosity looks nothing like them. It's awful. Makes the New Ford ranger actually look good.....
Why not offer a trim that ELIMINATES the front center console? I will never again buy a vehicle that steals that space, movement and utility to me...the customer/user.
@grizzlymartin1 They have these basic work trucks on lots, right now. And they're collecting dust. The manufacturers don't make as many, because they don't sell like the upscale trims. And the have steel wheel and no sensors. Some still have a key that you can stick in the ignition 😏
