Well, that guy did it for the San Francisco, 2000 scenario. That the heads at the 49ers were cheapskates to not make a more adequate design for Santa Clara is the problem.
In my opinion, Levi's Stadium was built backwards. The 49er faithful should have their backs to the sun while all of the corporate execs should've been the ones to have awnings installed for their luxury sky boxes.
Or, hear me out. Have built a proper roof over the stands the way Europe does it for their soccer stadiums. Instead, they built what looks more like a college football stadium than a proper world-class venue.
GRIMLOCK07 As a security officer, I agreed. I'm always getting fucking asked by Taylor swift Fan's , how or what train to take to get to this stadium, I'm glad her week is over. They're fucking dumber then dumb and dumber the movie itself. Grrrrrrr😤😤😤😤😤😤😤
MyStiCxHacKzZ True but the Cowboys haven't played in Dallas in almost 50 years, plus they have always been an easily commutable 15 to 20 minutes away, whether in Irving or Arlington, and both areas still always fell in the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington Metroplex area (or simply known as "The Metroplex"), so it is still very much within the same region. The 49ers on the other hand have moved out of their home for an entire franchise, nearly an hour away so it is already not easily commutable, to another city that San Francisco has no regional connection to economically or historically and that is also located in an entirely different county. To say "But the Cowboys don't play in Dallas" is breaking it down too simplistically. The Cowboys play in cities that Dallas has always had a historical and financial connection to. The 49ers, in choosing Santa Clara, might as well have chosen another country.
5 Rings there was a pretty sweet plan to have the 49ers stadium right down the way from the Giants stadium. Imagine: all three flagship Bay teams all on the same street. But, without getting too political, the crazy leftists running the city had some ridiculous demands for the team to even begin building. York didn’t budge, and the city lost the stadium. I wonder what could have been.
Absolutely embarrassing to have this statium empty. It already looks like its not finished. After what the Vikings and falcons built. We got ripped off as a fan base.
yeah candlestick had the atmosphere because everyone was in their seats. if you got up to get a beer or take a piss you were probably going to miss a quarter of action. the parking lot was a disaster as well. If you came late you be close to exit and you could get out pretty quick but you would miss the tail gate. If you came into the parking lot early you are waiting at least 3 hours to get out of there. I've never been to levi's so I can't say if those things have improved but the fan base is definitely not the same as candlestick.
Ticket prices should be based on performance Ok So that should put the price at about $3.50 each Parking should be Free And every time the Niners get 30 or more points put on them, Fans should get their money back and a Free Taco 🌮
As a 49er fan this makes me sick.... telling us to just take it and be happy?? You are not our mom bribing us to take medications... You are a business and need fans in the seats, so start acting like it!!
Jesse Caballero...I see you are used to people telling you what to do, how to eat, when to sleep, when to wake up and have no human emotion what so ever!! And if you can read I never said anything about the heat.. I just worked 10 hours in 91 degree heat, but I was paid.... we are paying them! Go to the movies and ask them to turn off the air, see how many people complain
mike turner As a Niner Fan, I'm gonna need you to stop bitching about the weather and start cheering for the team it's self. I could sit in the sun for 5 hours, without any bullshit.💯💯💯 Go Niners!
I have been to the stadium twice now and my problem with it is the east side is awful without any shade and the place also has a "Clinical" feel. It looks/feel's like construction. unfinished looking. As you fry in the sun you look over at the suite's for the rich in the shade, not a warm and fuzzy feeling.
Green Bay Packers fans stay in their seats because their team treats them with respect and would never tear down their venerable stadium. We Niner fans lost our beloved Candlestick and now expect us to schlep down to the strip mall known as Santa Clara and bake in the heat in a poorly designed stadium with no character. It's a lot to ask.
About f*cking time. Meanwhile Jed York fights his city to add a gazebo to his backyard against his neighbors wishws to "provide shade" for his family. They sold their soul for money and repeatedly show they don't care about the football side of the game and just the business side.
The Team signed a 40-year lease and it was the near impossibility of getting enough land in the city that caused the team to build outside of San Francisco in the first place.
That would be great. It is hotter then balls up in them nose bleeds. But if you put more money into that god damn stadium, the tickets will be even higher... still dont understand how tickets are like 100 bucks a game, even after a 2-14 season. DROP THE PRICES AND YOU MAY HAVE MORE SEATS FILLED. NO ONE WANTS TO SPEND A GRIP TO WATCH A TEAM REBUILD.
Now that we got Jimmy g, them prices are going to be 150-200 a game. And yes that is a grip for some people who live paycheck to paycheck. 2 tickets 300-400 bucks, parking 60 bucks, tailgate 20-80 depending on food and beer you bring. Oh and the gas to get there ( I live in sac ). And then 13 bucks a beer in the stadium, buy 8 of those for two people. You're paying damn near 700 bucks to watch a game live. Too expensive.
The Raiders will come out of this smelling like roses when they move to their new home in Vegas next year. Rumor had it a partnership with the 49ers in sharing this venue was speculated (like what the Jets and Giants have), but Mark Davis wanted no part of it. Smart move.
Well green bay fans are used to that weather us 49er faithful are not.We love the cold and foggy weather. I would rather be cold than miserable in the sun.
Well green bay fans at least have their stadium in Green Bay, while the Niners have their stadium in another place not even close to San Francisco. People don't understand that San Francisco weather is different than Santa Clara. If anything the weather is closer to Oakland than San Francisco.
Please sell Levi stadium and let's go back home to Frisco where we belong Santa Clara stinks the city of Santa Clara doesn't deserve to have such a great franchise there they don't know how to appreciate this franchise.
Levi's Stadium should've been a retractable roof stadium. The weather is so much warmer in the South Bay area compared to San Francisco. The 49ers overlook that and now the fans are roasting in the heat.
The team ownership and the designers and architects/and engineers whom were apart of the original design and creation of Levi’s stadium should of taken everything into consideration. There is obviously a temperature change from candlestick park location Versus the Levi’s stadium, which obviously wasn’t considered or it was overlooked!! Who knows...Furthermore it’s easy to put more clothes on in colder climates but fans can only remove so much clothing in warmer temperatures and it’s not always healthy to sit in the sun for too long to much exposure can be bad!!!!
Of course it would be cooler by the ocean!!! Was in SF in 2013 and it was nice and cool down on Fisherman's Wharf. Went inland on A wine tasting tour it was hot
Yes Niners belong in San Francisco or just might as well change the name to the San Jose Niners, or the Santa Clara Niners. Makes no sense how teams want to capitalize on the city's name but yet don't want to pay the city's taxes or keep the team in the city. I remember NY had the Giants and Jets remove the NY off their jerseys and helmets at one point for this same reason. The only true NY team are the Bills.
In 15-20 years the niners will get a new stadium and learn from their mistakes just like the Braves with Turner field. Levi was a mistake and what happens when you choose money over fans
Wear sun tan lotion, drink water and wear sun glasses! My seats at AZ Card games during end of season are in the sun for the 1st half when roof is open.
Why cant we stand 90 degrees? Because we spend almost $100 for a ticket and want to be comfortable. Not fun when you're too hot and can do nothing about it. In green bay its 9 degrees but you can bundle up and be warm. You cant strip down in an nfl stadium without getting kicked out.
If they still were at the stick half of you would be complaining for a new stadium... yea levi is facing the wrong direction but what can they do at this point ? Nothing . I want Ws
I think it would be best if we stay in Levi's just long enough to build a better stadium on the old grounds where candlestick was. And then sell Levi's to someone else Levis stinks Levi's would be a whole lot better in the candlestick Park location because the weather would be much better. I miss the stick
Kezar Stadium in the Southeast corner of Golden Gate Park was the first home of the 49ers and is where the new Stadium should have been built and I predict will eventually be built. (if the NFL survives)
I agreed that that good old Candlestick needed to come down but I don't agree that the 49ers should have left San Francisco they need to come back home where they belong
For the people saying night games it can’t be done. Doesn’t get night till after nine and it’s pacific times. When it’s night there it’s after 12 am the next morning here on the East.

When it's cold all you have to do is put on extra garments. But when it's hot there's nothing you can do to escape the heat besides the cover of shade. Facts.
You’re right about that but if you look at who’s the owner for the 49ers I don’t blame the fans on why they don’t want to go to games. Plus I heard the tickets are expensive.
My family and I WERE niner fans, we went to Candlestick and some away games for years. We live north of Sacramento so the drive was long but we really enjoyed our time in SF. We would play tourist and go to all that SF had to offer on Saturday and then go to the Stick on Sunday. The team tanked, the kneeling QB, a much longer drive, not in SF, hot stadium, prices WAY up for a bad team and Jed wonders why the the Santa Clara 49'ers don't draw. We went to an Oakland game for the first time last year, they won, it was a sellout, we were close to SF, the price for tickets were reasonable and the weather was cool.
Because Wisconsin people are use to the cold and have the proper garments while Californians living in mild climate have a harder time getting use to extreme climate. Also Packers fans don't have to worry about their teams sucking.
I always wonder why American stadiums don't build canopy's like you see in a lot of European stadiums. They are concerned about nice suites for the rich folk but for the other 60000 people, it's like, screw em, let em boil.
that was the stupidest comparison i've ever heard. "if green bay fans can withstand a below 9 degree day then why cant 49ers fans brave a 90 degree day." because there's something called clothing that covers you in the cold. when its hot even going naked wont help.
The 49ers should have shared a stadium for a little while and rebuilt candlestick but instead they made a stadium in a city that gets hot. Look at it now, why go to a stadium to sit and sweat. They should of stayed in San Francisco. I would of built a dome knowing the weather there gets very warm.
tbh it has nothing to do with the weather, or the lack of shade. The team is just just bad right now, and no one wants to pay for a bad product, or watch it plain and simple.
They can't compare the heat to the cold. You can wear layers to protect yourself from the cold. You can't protect yourself from FEELING the heat, only from getting sun burnt. If I tried to sit in that sun, I would get heat stroke in about an hour. This stadium is a joke, and the niners are lucky as hell they got Garropolo. I still hope they explore a shady structure.
Billion dollars for a pile of junk poorly designed and thought out stadium with a team that sucks and ticket food and beverage prices that are way way too high for the value of a game that is less exciting then a small town high school game, what did you think.the owner messed up really bad.
The architect of Levi’s stadium should re-evaluate his career choice.
Well, that guy did it for the San Francisco, 2000 scenario. That the heads at the 49ers were cheapskates to not make a more adequate design for Santa Clara is the problem.
It’s a nice stadium but it’s facing the wrong direction
In my opinion, Levi's Stadium was built backwards. The 49er faithful should have their backs to the sun while all of the corporate execs should've been the ones to have awnings installed for their luxury sky boxes.
Richard Tail .......from what you just said, the corporate executives knows this and they aren't dumb.
Or, hear me out. Have built a proper roof over the stands the way Europe does it for their soccer stadiums. Instead, they built what looks more like a college football stadium than a proper world-class venue.
Screw that Stadium, and bring back CandleStick!!
At least that Stadium was actually in San Francisco.
And I'm not even a Niners Fan.
GRIMLOCK07 9ers fan here. And you were right.
There are several teams like this.

We should of rebuild The Stick instead of moving out to Santa Clara smh

Robert Hidalgo yea it's hard to believe this stadium cost the same as At&t stadium in Arlington. I guess that's California property prices though.
I guess a billion dollars doesn't go as far in California as it does in Texas, but you would have thought they would have built a better stadium.
What a wasted of money!
@@agamez91 “California property prices”

Rob Delakovias it has drastically improved at levis. Been to many games there.
“We weren’t doing too well” it was only 13-0 my guy it’s not like it’s 40+ to 0 smh
sOcs Razor exactly not a blow out ffs.
He was just making a lame excuse.

Ok

How can you screw up the design of a modern stadium!!!!! Unbelievable!!!
As a 49er fan this makes me sick.... telling us to just take it and be happy?? You are not our mom bribing us to take medications... You are a business and need fans in the seats, so start acting like it!!
Jesse Caballero you realize two people have died their from heat already don't you.

mike turner I'd agreed, it was o.k. to take a few dollars out of our checks, but they want us to take it. Smdfh 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦
i remember going to a preseason game that damn sun and very close seating drains you .. we all left by halftime and didin't think twice about it
Same here!
That stadium is absolutely hideous. It looks like a project that ran out of money and they couldn't afford to finish the exterior.
No wonder Krapernick knelt in the shade
He was kneeling because his legs were oppressed of sun screen so he was applying it to them

FOT2010 Colin Soros.

Cowboys, Vikings, and Falcon all got way nicer stadiums than the 49ers
Santa Clara isnt a strip mall tf?
Whoever designed it needs to be 🔥 fired from the company, that built this crappy stadium.
Ariel Prendergast I couldn't agree more. Terrible idea to have them play in Santa Clara an hour outside the San Fran.
Don't forget the Rams. That stadium will top them all
As a Packers fan reading the coments, you should've renovated candlestick and saved 700mil, everyone liked that stadium
Yup but owners want new not old
Las Vegas rejected a similar design to Levis. Seeing all the other stadiums being built in the NFL, I think the Niners failed here with Levis.
About f*cking time. Meanwhile Jed York fights his city to add a gazebo to his backyard against his neighbors wishws to "provide shade" for his family.
They sold their soul for money and repeatedly show they don't care about the football side of the game and just the business side.

They could have rebuilded downtown

I thought that stadium was supposed to be state- of -the-art? Maybe they could put a canopy roof over the stadium, and have air condition seats.
It's not really a poor location
maxscameraguy That's because they wanted it close to the lightrail, so easier for Fan's too get to, just so they can make money that's all.

Wear sun tan lotion, drink water and wear sun glasses! My seats at AZ Card games during end of season are in the sun for the 1st half when roof is open.

Thank you. Hope it happens. I been there 5 times and been sweating as f there . So hot. Rather stand in shaded hallways were air flows strong
nice fans. it was 13-0 and hot weather. they use that for an excuse for bailing. sit through 10 degrees and a snow storm.
And I thought that the Roberto Duran Gymnasium in Panama City Panama was known as an oven inside that venue.
Been a 49er fan since they played at Kezar. New stadium stinks for a lot of reasons. Am sure hardcore fans can tell you exactly why!?
Terrible terrible design trend with the off centered video board, top deck, etc .
Just feels off.
Its cause no one can afford tickets. Cause they have to pay that sky high rent.
Its too expensive and it takes 2 hours to leave the stadium and gridlock to 237 and 101

Green Bay you can put a jacket on and stay warm. Hot temperature you can’t stay cool without shade.
They need to do this. They should have closed it in like Arizona, or Indianapolis.
tbh it has nothing to do with the weather, or the lack of shade. The team is just just bad right now, and no one wants to pay for a bad product, or watch it plain and simple.

If I tried to sit in that sun, I would get heat stroke in about an hour. This stadium is a joke, and the niners are lucky as hell they got Garropolo. I still hope they explore a shady structure.
You know the Stadium is in California when the Snack Shack says Vegan Dogs
Niners "fans" making excuses
You're in California how bad could the weather be? Look at green bay...it's like below zero and that stadium is packed
They should have kept the stadium in candlestick. Everyone who lives on the peninsula knows that that place is too damn hot. The South Bay sucks
Fair weather fan base AKA bandwagon
Fake news about why the stadium is empty, and how to solve the problem
I hope people catch up theres literally no shade
91 isn’t even that bad!
If you think it was the sun that had the seats empty keep telling yourself that lol!
When Washington moved to Maryland from DC 😢 i thought how can a NFL team have the power to keep that name ? and move to another city 😨 must be the 💰
Instead of fixing their stadium they should fix their record...
compare to allegiant this is a Slum building
Its shady how the nfl can keep there name and move to another city thats shady and not true
Its "emptier"..because of the teams record. The sun is an issue now???
Billion dollars for a pile of junk poorly designed and thought out stadium with a team that sucks and ticket food and beverage prices that are way way too high for the value of a game that is less exciting then a small town high school game, what did you think.the owner messed up really bad.
😢 it’s a football game early in the season with a terrible team at the time.
Night games?
