Hye Kevin. Can you help me. I can't draw on my whiteboard. I need to turn on my fingertip mode on. But i cant find the button? How to find the fingertip mode?
Kevin, you are an amazing presenter. Your presentations are easy to follow and the words you use are easy to understand. You have this ability to take something technically challenging and make it user-friendly! I'm sure Microsoft misses you! Their loss is our gain! Thank you.
As a special education teacher, I’m going to use this application for students IEP meetings. No longer having to keep up with paper, it’s all in a central location. This is a game changer for me! I got a Surface Pro during the holidays, I had no idea how invaluable it would become. Thank you!!
Thanks, Kevin. As an MSFT Alum, I am very grateful to you for doing all these videos. I left the company 20 years ago, long before most of these great tools were even a twinkle in anyone's eyes. WHITEBOARD is perhaps the best yet! Again, thanks!
I was happy to see this tutorial this morning. Timely for me as I just talked with some here in the office last week about using Whiteboard. I embedded your video into our Teams team
3 AM here in Seattle... I'm usually sound asleep. It also corresponds with when traffic starts increasing on the channel, so I figure that's a good time to schedule the video 😁
@@KevinStratvert I'm trying to figure out how to use my walmart universal stylus pen with the Microsoft Whiteboard application. As of right now I'm only able to use the mouse. I'm trying to do this with a Asus touchscreen laptop.
Just a warning to others. I was successfully using Web Whiteboard within Teams. Wanted to use some of the features in the full version as shown in this video. This was unsuccessful. Skipping all the Help Desk email back and forth here, it turns out our Office 365 license did not cover the full version, nor would it be installed on the school machine here at home. Good video anyway, Kevin.
I couldn't find any easy way to explain Ms whiteboard to my colleagues, you made it very easy. My thank you will now be a subscription to your channel, how 'bout that? huh
Kevin, your videos are always helpful. Thanks for posting these. You are truly showcasing the power of MS products. MS too deserves more than what they are getting.
@@KevinStratvert thank you Kevin and best wishes, waiting for your new videos. Whenever I'm getting time, I will go straight to your channel to watch your old videos on RUclips.
Another educational tutorial watching from Philippines. I will recommend this video to my colleagues. 😁😁😁 This might be out of the topic but i would like to request a video tutorial about platform that could be used in teaching mathematics , chemistry, physics and the like subjects that would usually include solving. We are in need of such tutorial. God bless you sir Kevin.
This is a most helpful instructional video. Thank you so much! As a teacher, it is vital to use as much technology for our students as possible as we have become more of a symbol-laden society. You are the only TEAMS instructor I watch because you are direct and organized in your instruction. Again, thank you.
Hi. I was wondering if as a teacher can your students who have a Mac computer or just a smartphone use teams or whiteboard? Finding a platform that all your students can use regardless of OS is challenging?
Your explanation is better than MS features. I just don't like the ruler at all on Whiteboard, using the mouse on a laptop. Easy way would have been for them to put the mouse on the ryler and type the degree to turn. This takes ages to manipulate. Btw, i loved your ticks "charismatic owner"😈
Great video Kevin! This is very timely for me as a leader of a fortune 20 company, my team is looking for a way to collaborate together since we’re not in the office at this time. Keep doing what you’re doing sir, you’re awesome! If you want to do another video or two deep diving into whiteboard, that would be awesome! Have a great day!
Wow this was entirely new. I have used Whiteboard only for doodling so far with my Wacom. Didn't know it has Post-Its and Templates for brainstorming. We at org level use Miro these days to do the brainstorming. I guess Whiteboard isn't there at the level of Miro or Mural but perhaps for a quick write-ups.
hey, i have a question please, can it be used offline and still save all the written notes or doesn't work offline and i need to have an internet access to save my written notes ?🙁
Greetings from Denmark. Can you prepare the whiteboard before the meeting kicks off? Say I have a lecture and want to have the brainstormning whiteboard ready with a few pictures, grids and so on. How do I do that, and make sure that its there when I begin the lecture?
Yes you can. Just prepare your whiteboard for the lecture with an incomplete picture. During the lecture (I use MS Teams) complete it with your students and post it to MST group. You can prepare the same whiteboard in three copies in case you have three seminar groups.
amazing tutorial , quite clear on all the nice MS features ( inserting , copying pasting etc ) do you have any insights on how to draw and write faster , any special pen tool you'd recommend ?
@@mmeleacherteacher4787 Oh that's fantastic. Do they need to sign in with a Microsoft account or google account or facebook account? Or can you make a user name and password and just give that them to log in with?
Really useful video. I've been looking for an infosec friendly version of Miro. This might not be as polished, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the functionality that is available. I think that I'll give it a go.
Awesome video, you made everything so clear and easy. Question, with the web version what do people need to be able to collaborate? Would someone on a smartphone without any Microsoft or team account be able to with just an invite link?
Hi greetings from Guadalajara, Mexico. I use this whiteboard with Zoom, but it usually freezes and I have to restart my laptop, usually when I use the ink feature. Have this ever happen to you?
great video. One thing that I didn't see yet in MS Whiteboard. How to create "area's"? What I mean with that... In Miro white board eg, you can create an area where you can work on together. Eg, you have a brainstorm session with 5 questions, participants need to work on those questions and bring in their idea's, with text stickies etc... how can you make a nice 'bounder' on that working space, to keep an overview... kind of like to note grid, but then bigger and 'free space'. Hope you got my question? Thanks peter
Question: For a brainstorming session, is it practical to have each of the participants simultaneously create sticky notes? Would that work or would such an approach be chaotic from a user experience perspective?
Kevin, excellent and quick over view of the whiteboard, I was also interested to see if you could copy and paste the whiteboard into other applications?
