I just bought a domain and I have been tinkering with it. From this video, I wonder if I should copy my records from there onto Linode. Next is SSL. Whew boy, your videos complement your docs really well.
Why not modify the domain A record directly on hover, though? Isn't that more straight forward than messing with your nameserver configuration, if you have other services set up with your dns (mail server, etc)?
Unfortunately it is not possible to point specific ports to domains. This article outlines the reason, http uses port 80, https uses 443, websites need to respond on those ports specifically: newbedev.com/can-dns-point-to-specific-port
Could not solve the propblem how I can use my registrar nameservers with Linode, the Linode DSNS zone has always their nameservers included you can not remove them. But when I replace my registrar nameservers with the Linode NS, my registrar DNS zone and all records after that not work properly on the Linode vps, so ssl not work and many more errors on th evps. So I can not use my registrar nameservers with a fast Linode. Overall that same crap "change your nameservers with ours" on vps, email hosting, DNS zones and many more....what a mess.
hey hi, a question about domains. If for example i buy a domain. And i don't want to put on their website linode's nameservers. So use their nameservers by default. On the linode dashboard i have to delete the domain?? reset it?
If one of your domain names has expired or if you want to start hosting it on another DNS provider, you should permanently delete the domain and all of its associated DNS records from the domains section of the cloud manager.
Your domain registrar's DNS management tools might offer many of the same features as our DNS Manager. Being able to manage DNS with your Linodes is a big advantage of ours. Our DNS service is also anycasted all over the world, so you get DDoS mitigation, load balancing, etc.
Hi I keep searching but I can't find the video that I want. I just need to know how to create a website from my flask app. Would really appreciate it if you could link me a video or tell me the steps in the reply.

Thank you so much. Very easy explanation and detailed. Anybody with non-tech knowledge should be able to configure DNS by watching this video.
Hello Jay. Just followed your instructions, flawless thanks... It's simply the best Linux and VPS channel in the known universe.
Just followed you instructions, flawless thanks...
You are awesome, thanks Jay! I love linode, but tbh, their help page for this was not very good. Your video came in VERY handy.
Thank you...keep 'em coming!
But in cloudflare we can insert the ip in cludflare, adding dns records. Can we isert the ip in linode>domains too?
thank you for the tutorial. Very useful.
Really nice video
Thanks! :)

So how would I point to the port in which I want the domain routed to? I have a few small sites I'd like to assign my domains to
