Nice I’d like to add that you could use pre made wraps if you don’t want to make your own dough, that’s what I’d prefer because it’s a pain to clean the pot if you don’t have access to a lot of water when outdoors. I love m Trangia too!
If you want to eat better food on trail, than the Trangia cook set is the cook set to have. I have used every thing under the sun it seems, and I always come back to my Trangia cook set. JT. from Oregon
Brilliant you have that after a day 5 out 5 star Thank you safe travels the trangia is a awesome a real go to I used one for years then brought stoves with gas bottles now going back to old faithfull
Very well done! I have that same set, and it's the best true cookset on the market. As a chef, I find with just a little planning and ingenuity, you can create incredible meals trailside paella, for example! Something you might look into, Silk Road Spice Merchants Moroccan Harissa spice blend. Incredible flavor and easy to use. Packit Gourmet will have most of your dehydrated veggies as well.
i think if you switch the pizza upside down in a second plate to bake the top also, this could it get even better with the ingredients and the melting. thanks for showing.
Tom ... you mentioned using plastic bags , this is how I ;like to use them. Out camping I hate doing dishes but like to eat. i mix my pancake batter in a zip lock bag. That way i don't make a mess in a pot that has to be cleaned up. Then clip off a corner so I can squeeze the batter into a pan. I would have the ingredients in zip lock bags , mix them up in the bags and squeeze them into the pan. Clean up is just a matter of packing out the bags. The container for the Ghee ( Clarified Butter ) you used and showed us , where did you find it ????
Yes I have used the plastic bag method many times! I got the container from Specialty Bottle. Here is a link. Thanks for watching! www.specialtybottle.com/metal-tin-containers/twist-top
The plate I was using as a lid is part of there cold weather kit and nest with the kit great Their is room for one cozy to nest inside the kit. Thanks for watching!
Good video. I bet you're a hit at the campsite. I wonder if you flip that pizza over in the fry pan if you could get the cheese a little brown and bubbling and to crisp up the pepperoni or would it make a bad mess?
That would be a mess I would think. But I could have let the pizza cook a little longer to melt the cheese a little better... That being said it was good none the less! Thanks for the comment!
It helps keep the contents warm if I'm cooking multiple things. I have found even a small wind cools things off rapidly and it fits in the kit nicely so I like it. Thanks for watching!
Hi David, I have just recently received the 25-21 UL/D Duaossal . Its fairly light and cooks like any stainless steel pot/pan if you are cooking with butter, oil, or bacon fat to get the pan to be none stick. The pots have no graduations for measure liquids. The HA version has held up very well over the last 5 years that I have had it with only a pin sized hole in the nonstick pan. It doesn't interfere with the cooking but its there. The HA pots are easy to clean as the HA has a little none stick value I believe and they have graduations for measuring liquids. I would have to say it depends on the kind of cooking you plane to do but in my opinion the nonstick coating will eventually wear out. I would opt for the all hard anodized or the Duossal and get used to cooking with them at home just for practice. Thanks for the question David! Good luck!
@@TomsBackwoods Hi Tom,. Read your message about your T25 Dorsal set. Now that you have had it for about a year are you liking it? I am currently considering it. I already own the T27 UL HA set and love it. However, that 25 Dorsal would be great if there are no issues with it being a bonded product. What do you think? Have done a review for us yet?😁🥰
Looks great and easy enough to do. I can't quit catch the word you are saying about the stuff you lined the pan with. Never heard of it so that's part of the problem. Can you spell it out for me so I can research it? I rewound the video three times to no avail... :-) Thanks and take care.
Thanks for the link critt5050, Ghee wasn't in the ingredients list either. I've heard of clarified butter but never heard it called Ghee. I'll check out Tom's video...
You can buy jars of it in lots of grocery stores. Look in the international sections where you find Indian food ingredients. You may find fake versions made of other oils (sort of like margarine without the water content or salt) and real ones that are butter fat. check the label.

Hi. You have a cozy for your trangia bowl in the background, for what purpose? Hello from Canada. :)
It helps keep the contents warm if I'm cooking multiple things. I have found even a small wind cools things off rapidly and it fits in the kit nicely so I like it. Thanks for watching!
Hey Tom, I am looking at the Trangia sets and they have an all non-stick and a HA version. Do you have a preference?
