I think (closely allogned with DBT CBT and ACT) an approach where very difficult people refuse to accept their inner thinking and conflict and when they say "all I said was...(she's fat, obese, etc stereotype of blaming and shaming someone else.) " I tried questioning whether they needed to attach themselves like that...and whether their lack of self control needs more awareness than someone else's body who is not them. I questioned how the way they were (and still are) trying to pull that person into their place (most have said they need to put the person in their place not the speakers! and I turned this around and said clearly it is the speakers place and this needs examining and questioning because the objectthey belittled didnt want them attached and losing their life as well as their own through wasted barrage of neglect and abuse) their own low self esteem and perhaps depression (not a general diagnosis) that for all their attempts to conceal their bitter resentment still reveals itself through the callous criticism. All I said was...became an opening that was too difficult to accept and so for the perpetrator they still wanted to remain publicly a victim through never connecting with corporeality or embodied sentient experience...Accepting is difficult and a challenge (for perpetrators who tend to be more inflexible) and for survivors a way into the world with knowledge...Thanks😊

Hi Mark, thanks so much. I began using your hypnosis downloads over a decade ago and they’re brilliant. Recently I enrolled in a counseling diploma and have found your videos and blog very helpful. I’m really grateful

Ok, but in editing this, did you not see how rude you were to your weight loss client. You indicated that you didn't care or judge what she ate, but at the end you focused on her eating that cake and made a crack about her trying to win a speed-eating competition. Maybe you should explore and unpack your own beliefs about weight, eating and fatness before supporting others during a deeply personal and shame-inducing work.
