In my shul we are all retirees, mainly English speakers, all mixing well together, with activities to be occupied, many charitable commitments, lots of coach trips, weekends away. There are younger communities where our kids live. There is a place for everybody.
But they didn't take responsibility. They shot an 11 year girl last week who had been kidnapped in their own country. Yet it's different when it's another country.

I can see that the IDF did not follow their usual hyper vigilance about potential presence of civilians re the aid workers. But I doubt they imagined the gunmen in and around the vehicles. Hamas and UNRWA are the ones benefiting from this tragedy. So I am inclined to believe that Hamas set up the aid workers by their presence and, unfortunately, the IDF on the scene fell for it.

I think the WCK wasn't that well informed about the ground situation on Gaza. They should probably have not sent people there since it's too dangerous. They probably have no clue about the size of the region the scale of the fighting.
