Great topic. Children shouldn't have access to social media until age 17-18. So many kids have been harmed by it.

I've never understood why women post their Ls online for all to see. Female social competition is so brutal so what motivates these young women to advertise their vulnerabilities with their competitors? Maybe they encourage it amongst themselves to eliminate their competition, or to make each other feel bad, but why comply? Isn't it embarrassing?

@39:00 its ok to feel sorry for yourself i dont see it as self obsorbtion or narcassism. However when people have depression they need therapy, support and help.
When ive had depression it was anti depressants and therapy that helped. After a few sessions i could then face the world and also volunteer to help others.
If you are depressed or have high levels of anxiety you might not have the physcial or mental strength to cope with others problems. You have to work on yourself first.

Destigmatization is a hella ironic word when there is no stigma around drugs and mental illness, but only celebration and glamorization.

I'll be forty in November and the last girl I was in a serious relationship with didn't just leave and break my heart, she cut pieces of my heart out and took them with her. She decided she wanted to move to France randomly out of the blue on a whim. The next girl I tired to date fractured three of my ribs, so at this point I'm just about ready to give up, buy a goldfish and play my guitars alone, forever alone.

It's always been a probabilistic thing. You have the potential for a bad outcome but also the potential for a great outcome. Even if you get unlucky and have a series of bad outcomes, all it takes is one great outcome, and you may be set. Just look for clues early on to try and tilt the odds in your favor. Is she consumed by her phone?? (Red flag) How does she deal with conflict? Calmyly, like this blonde girl? Or highly emotionally? (big red flag). Never any guarantees! That's why so many songs have been written! Listen to the Sinatra song, "One for my baby (And one more for the road)."

I'm confused where the critique of feminism is. I'm a feminist and I really enjoyed this.

The critique of Feminism is that it is supportive of this behaviour which has bad outcomes.
Takes a man to explain it hey

@@fpenman Its also interesting. They are talking also about bout pills.
I was just listening a video of Tammy Petersona nd the actewr Sam Sorbo about homeschooling children.
They remindeda lso a a topic about birth control pills.
Its a popular topic, because in the pastr it was not studied much during 60 years period... Women had unwanted side efffects
like depressions or their hormons changed so much that it changed their mood etc.
Sam replied its interesting topic, because the problem with these pills is that when woman starts dating a man with these pills, it changes her hormones so much that
she likes the guy much more
buta s soon as she stops using the pills, she suddenly loses attraction for the man, and she feels like he is some stranger.
because her hormones probably get back to normal state. and she realizes shea ctaully has nothing in common with him.
she púroabbly doesnt feel the attraction, because of some pheromones, maybe teh experts shoiuld explain it.
      Someone explained
Human nose is able to smell billion nuances, eyes see only million nuances, subconsciously
which means we are not aware of what we actually smell, because conscious mind work sonly 5 percent.
which mean snose is much more powerful than our eyes.
Its crazy that attraction has such rules, that we can not explain logically. They are probably subconscious, because as scientists say subconscious mind is about to protect us from harm.. So amybe therefore the man choses certain type of woman, and woman is biologically designed to pick a guy who acn provide for the kids and she notices espúecially behavior, where he shows his cahracter. but it seems the pills, change it , because choses a person who isnt able to commit, So maybe people should have sex 2 months later, and first know each other, and know each others interests.

Yes, FOMO, easy for you to say, Freya, but for all the rest of us unknowns it's the same as those cat photos for motivation. Everyone who isn't famous wants to be famous. To go viral, as they say.
