I have the T59V . Give one a try . Best guitar I’ve ever played . I’m an Eastman convert . A lifelong Fender /Gibson guy but you can’t argue with what your hands and ears tell you . The thing is a dream . And $1800 . Absolutely extraordinary.
Got the 54 limited and I'm just blown away by it. The Eastman guy mentions how it inspires him more than any guitar he's had and that's something I've been experiencing with this 54. It's unbelievable quality, I can't explain it. I love it!
just purchased a T 59 v in amber, wow what a fantastic guitar with loads of “mojo” half the price of a Gibson, i own two US fenders and two US les pauls and by far this is head and shoulders above them out of the box, very little adjustments needed…. never thought i would purchase anything other than a gibbo or fender…recomended
I have the T64V and SB59v both with Lollars, and I love them both. The SB59v is a bit heavier at 8.3lbs but I just can't stop playing it. The bell like highs, and growl in the bridge pickup, along with sustain better than any guitar I've ever had, and feels like a guitar I have been playing for 20 years. I have a very old martin acoustic that has the same played in feel. Now I need to find the Eastman equivalent in tube amps! ;-)
sorry I do not want a beat up guitar. I was lucky enough to find a sb55 dc without the relic job on the finish. Fantastic guitar but I would not have bought it if it was reliciced. PLEASE make a no relic option!!
I'd say Eastman are some of the best guitars at ANY price. The fact that Eastman's are at a lower price point than other high-end brands is irrelevant. My SB59v with Lollar Imperial's is flawless.
How do these balance on the leg for a sit down player? The Gibson I used to have would just distract me with its desire to dive off of my leg but I really hope to find one of these Eastmans that suits me better in this regard.
Probably a bit late on the comment, but I purchased a t64v with bigsby and took it back because of the balance. I replaced it with the non-bigsby version and the balance is wonderful, but it is also very light so any inbalance wouldn't be very noticeable while playing. My SB59v is 8.3lbs and slightly back heavy, but only slightly. I think if you can find a sub 8lbs SB59v you would most likely find a very balanced guitar on the knee.
The preferred style of guitar of most people is pretty much set at this point, set by Fender, Gibson, Gretsch, Rickenbacker for standard rock guitars. Most companies who want to sell guitars are going to follow the classic styles with some variation on the trademarked head stock. If you stray from those classic styles you probably aren’t going to sell many guitars.
This is the type of guitar Gibson should be making for £2000 but if you want the Gibson name on your headstock, then you can buy the equivalent sounding Gibson for £6900 here: www.ebay.co.uk/i/283458319841

The varnish helps to give Eastman Guitars an identity ( in my opinion)!

Good stuff. I would love to see one of these featuring their mandos
YES! I don't play mando but Eastman's look like works of art!

*Checks website and sees the cheapest guitar is $1560*
If they make such guitars why dont they make their own design? They are just pretty much knock off gibsons

mr jack Gibson is shit. And what the fuck do you want them to make? Why don’t you re invent the wheel? Should they make a fucking square guitar?
There is only Two true Les Paul's & Sgs....Gibson & Epiphone period
Yet there are other companies that make them better, some for less, E.g, Eastman, Tokia, Burney, Heritage, and more.
