JAMES HARDEN IS CLEARLY the MVP! He just had a career high of 50 then had another career high with 51 !!! Crafty, can score so many ways.. Injured all season long, most than any team in the playoffs, and we're in the 2nd seed! in the wild wild west! You can't tell me a better story that THAT! For real tho, Harden deserves the mvp this year. People tryin to say that Curry's the shit and he deserves mvp, sit down. Harden has straight up carried his team into the second seed of the western conference. He has had an injury prone team, Dwight (the only other player besides him capable of being an all star.) has been out constantly for the rockets. When you look at the work load Harden has had to carry compared to Curry, its obvious who the mvp should be. The warriors without Curry would probably be a 6th or 7th seed, but the rockets with out Harden are bottom feeding and waiting for lottery picks. Look at the Warriors bench and you see two recent all star players sitting in place of BETTER starters. Take a look at Houstons bench and their best bench players are arguably a washed up Josh Smith (compared to what he used to do.) and Corey Brewer. Harden DESERVES mvp. This is not meant to be disrespect towards Curry, Curry is a top five player in the league, but he doesn't deserve mvp.
***** What I'm telling you is that Curry is on the best team in the fucking league. You just made the case that golden state is much better than every other team in the western conference, which they are. Look at their bench compared to the Warriors. You have Andre Igoudala and David Lee sitting on the bench, both of those guys were former all stars and the only reason they're sitting is because gsw have better starters. The only thing you said about the individual players was that "Curry IS the shit." And the major reason why Curry won the mvp award this year, is because the gsw are a great team. Curry doesn't carry the warriors the way Harden does. Stephen Curry's win share? 15.7 James Harden's? 16.4 I'm not saying that he isn't a great player, I'm saying that he didn't deserve mvp over Harden. Could Curry take the injury prone rockets as far as Harden did if they swapped teams? I doubt it, but the fact Harden did take his team as far as he did is why he should have won.
***** Lee is two years departed form being an all star. But because of injuries, he blew this year compared to years prior, but that doesn't mean that he isn't a great role player.. He's simply getting half as many minutes as he used to and averaging a little less than half his numbers he would get with a starting role. But he was a recent all star thats why I brought him up. Estimated wins added man, thats it. And so what, Harden had a terrible game with turnovers last night but he still had a double double, thats pretty good for a bad night. Now you're just being petty and pointing out individual performances, like it surely can't happen to your favorite, Curry. This wasn't about me watching the warriors or not. I still predict them or the clippers, (more likely the warriors.) coming out of the western conf. But this whole conversation was about one players value to a team. Both players have similar stat lines, take away a rebound more and another turnover, four points, add an assist and you basically have Curry compared to Harden. Except Harden had a shitty team.
***** First off name one center on that Rockets team that can hit a ft. The only truly consistently good pieces other than harden the Rockets have are Terry, Brewer, and Ariza the rest are injured. What I'm telling you is that the Rockets are a dying fart of a team without Harden this season, the Warriors could recover without Curry. They would most likely trade andre or david lee for a good pg, or simply rotate Shaun Livingston in (if he could manage that much playing time with injury.) The Warriors can win games without Curry, I really doubt the Rockets could without Harden THIS season. Dwight was out, D-mo also out, not to mention Pat. They lost at least two good starters and a good up and coming role player. I haven't even heard of any injury reports from the warriors forcing curry to step up. Curry is quite simply the best player for the leagues best team, that is why they gave him the award.
***** But the issue is that Curry hasn't taken a bottom feeding team by itself due to injuries to the second seed. He just hasn't been put into that position. Harden didn't have Dwight. There's a reason as to why Golden State also won gm of the year... Personally, I would have given Curry mvp if Harden hadn't been so instrumental for the injury prone Rockets this year. Curry is a really great player, but its in the words most valuable player that define why he should have won. The award isn't titled "best player on the best team" last time I checked. To the Rocket franchise, Harden has been their jesus this year, he has literally saved their season from toiletbowling into a wasted year. I can't say the same for steph as great a player as he is. James Harden proved without a doubt he could practically lift an entire franchise up with the addition of some role players that were traded in. Steph didn't prove that, he had Klay, Iggy and Draymond. All three of those guys are amazing defenders, and Klay can go off for 50 on any given night... So if Harden didn't lift his team the way he did this year yes, Curry deserves mvp.
***** Subjective? So apparently a starting lineup that averages 46 points per game is better than one that averages 50 (INCLUDING howard in the lineup who wasn't there for half the season.) Compare a 12th ranked offense compared to a 2nd, thats not subjective is it. And its obvious the warriors have a better defense, considering they're ranked number one overall. You take out Curry, they have just as good a defense as they did before. Not to mention the fact that the Rockets starters only played TWO games together as a unit, then injuries plagued them. The only other players to average the numbers Harden has are Mj, Bird, and Lebron. Considering that Houstons starters only played two games together and they're still the second seed in the most competitive conference, James Harden should have won mvp. But no no no, the whole entire mvp selection is subjective and since everyone just saw the stat sheet for Curry and gsw's record they just gave it to him without looking at the team Harden carried to the second seed. And the reason why most people defend Curry is because of his highlights and his teams record.

That right there is an MVP. Best Player from this season no doubt.

Lightworks, it's free but it lacks some of the more advanced transitions and graphics that a program like Sony Vegas has...Very good for a free program though
