It closed a year ago when they built a new place in mereside just outside Blackpool, the adjacent courthouse is still used though, the entire place and surrounding buildings are to be demolished and replaced by a theme park and casino of some description, where coral Island now stands and the carparks was once part of the huge Blackpool Central railway station which closed in 1964.
@@TheSecretVault I was brought up as if you got energy to play foot ball you have not put a full days work in ! . Must have been great Living, eating , sleeping only football.. Boring really boring.
@@TheSecretVault it’s only 20 yds or so away from the front it’ll bring the tourists in for sure. There’s millions being spent on it apparently. First job - demolish the old nick next , build a multi storey car park . Then a hipster hangout/ food village.. Only time will tell.
If you’re in Blackpool in the next few days or fancy a road trip , station rd underground historical toilets ( dating back to the 1920s or so ) opposite south pier are exposed and only protected by a wire fence laid down . Might be accessible to someone with a hi-viz jacket & a spanner …
Great video matt even if it was a failed explore people call Blackpool but thers bad places everywhere not just in Blackpool I love coming here just for a day trip and some nice fish and chips 🐠🍟😋😋
The car park where u was I is where the police used to park there cars and over the bridge where u walked towards the seafront opposite the number 13 pub is the outher entrance for police to go in

They are re developing a that area that's why it's closed and the courts will be moving aswell apparently a developer has bought all that land and the markets too
From another vlog I follow, the courts are still in use, but only for administration tasks. Not open to the public, and expected to be closed down entirely very soon due to the scheduled demolition.

Coral island was a mini pleasure beach . The car park and police building was where Central station used to be.

There use to be a concrete multistory carpark attached to this but it was pulled down due structual problems
