Thank you sir, great video. I replaced mine in a 2011 with 80k miles yesterday to today. I probably spent around 4 hours actual working time. Partly because I take it slow. Mostly because it was 22* yesterday and I didn’t want to break things! Great job being a good dad, too!

Unbelievable. I own a 2013 Town and Country and had been told WHAT was wrong, but had I not seen this video I doubt that I would have taken on the task. One Sunday afternoon later, and hopefully no more drippy drip on the garage floor. Crazy simple to watch and follow. I would have been done much faster if I owned a laptop, but found it enjoyable to do a step, check the video, and do the next step. My buddy just had this done on his 2015 Charger for $600 and was thrilled. They were diagnosing Rear Main Seal before I showed him the video, saved him some serious cash just like it saved me. Beyond thrilled with what Fix It Angel has taught me and encouraged seeing what a Dad he is too. Thank you, thank you, thank you. PS.....btw, might not last but we also had a Check Engine light on since we bought this van 3 years ago. Doesn't affect much except it does keep the Remote Start from operating correctly. The light is now gone. Perhaps the two sensors under the housing were drowning in oil? At any rate, DOUBLE thanks again Fix It Angel!!!!

Thank you for a very informative video. I completed this repair yesterday. I did not drain the coolant - I pinched off the coolant hose with vise grips. Also, I did not disconnect the fuel line. I used a bungee cord to pull the lower manifold out of the way and it worked well. The replacement went very smoothly and I used an aluminum replacement part. Hopefully, I wont have to do this job again!

This part has been a total nightmare for me. I have had two covers break when removing. The first time I was able to get the broken one off and it just entailed buying a new cap. Now a second one broke and when I tried getting remaining part off part of the housing broke and I am now looking at having to change the whole oil housing. I can get the part about $150 but I am sure this will close to 1000 bucks with labor and taxes. The person who authorized this design should be dragged out of his home and hanged by his eyelids until he blinks. I only hand tightened it but it still broke :(

I hope you do not mind me sharing your video. I purchased an oem oil cooler on Ebay for $223 and shared the video address in my Feedback for the Chrysler 3.6 oil cooler. Also not to scare anyone with the cost of the oil cooler, Chrysler aftermarket 3.6L oil coolers sell for as low as $52.24 on Ebay . Then some of the oil coolers come with the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets also sold on Ebay or Amazon. You could not asked for a better video to complete your project! I am so grateful for this video, I first replaced the Oring & seal kit from Mopar. The oil leaked again after a few hundred miles. This time I ordered a complete Oil Housing Adapter Kit from AA Ignition, part # GWA422 . I closely examined the one Oring, comparing it to Mopar Oring. The after market unit Oring was fatter! The dimensions of a is given in OD - ID - W , typically small Orings are 2.5 - 3.0 W. I don't have tools to measure these Orings, however my caliper showed that the after market ring was thicker. It took a little more pressure to seat the new part, I dabbed a drop of oil on the Oring and it felt snug. I hope this works!

My 2016 rt caravan started having a major oil leak right after an oil change and when I got home there was a big pool of oil. It's been towed to the dealership but I believe the oil filter housing cooling assembly was cracked by the person doing the oil change. I did go back to the oil change place and they told me its a faulty Chrysler plastic part and not there fault. Ill post back if my warranty covers the work.

@@rspec122 I took the van to the dealership who diagnosed it as a pinched gasket and it was a 10 dollar part and easy fix. My engine was covered in oil on the top of the motor so things had to be removed for the oil to get cleaned up. Mr.Lube paid for the engine cleanup and the part but fought me very hard and didn't want the work to get done at the dealership but there was no way in hell I'd let Mr. lube touch my van again. Mr Lube came to my house to to clean up the oil spill on my driveway but all they did was put down some powdered clay then never came back.

Just failed on my 2014 Journey. This should definitely be a recall.

Ours had exactly same issue. This is an excellent video. The part ran us about 162 but make sure to order the gasket sets and do the plugs at the same time. The work is slightly time consuming but easy. Poor design of an oil cooler and if you have a guy who reefs on the filter housing it can crack, or in our case the gaskets in the bottom will blow out. Sure enough the oil cooler issue fixed the oil leak. My Jeep has same cooler... not happy about it. Anyway this is a great video and you don’t need all the tools listed. The only specialty sockets needed are the star socket (inverted and regular). The rest can be done with a few wrenches and screwdrivers. The vacuum trick is nice but save the hassle. Use a syringe or meat basting bulb. Suck out the oil.

Angel, you've got the best vid on internet on how to do this by far!! My 2015 T&C (3.6LVVT motor) injector electrical connectors were slightly different but same basic principle to cause release as yours (pull up on the red lock tab first). Also, at 15:00 you state 71 in-lb torque for lower intake manifold - couple of references I've seen call out 106 in-lb just like for the oil cooler. Lastly, my same references called out 62 in-lb for upper intake manifold. Not saying who is right but know there is some other torque info out there ;) Also, there's a specific torqueing sequence for each part that might be useful to post. Again, SUPER job - excellent pix, process, tool, and fastener info!!!!! Please keep 'em coming.

Perfect video for my 2011 T+C. It made a big job very manageable. Including details, with tools and torques, Thank you!
I'll volunteer a couple of more things. First, (after depressurizing), disconnnect the fuel rail at left front instead of removing each injector. Also, my intake plenum is stamped 5-7 N-M, or 45-65 in-lbs.

Great video walked me through fixing oil filter housing. Ended up knock sensor replacing cable because fluid had gotten into it and clamp broke.

Yeah definitely should be a recall on the design. Less then 20k miles on a 17 200c and it’s leaking glad I found your video showed me I do not want to tackle the task. Gonna get rid of the car.

👍👍👍I also used your top notch video and the provided info to repair my van. I didn't get as much oil out of the part as you did causing the mess. 5-8 hours for my first time(with beer breaks), probably 4-5 next time. Will be on the look out for a vehicle for sale with this issue if I ever want a charger or w.h.y. Thank you, saved me about 1000$ with plugs change out at 90,000 KM'S on 2014 caravan base model, and during a time of unemployment due to Covid19 scare in Canada. Peace!

Thanks a lot especially for the following details.
    1. How to use pick to remove fuel injector.
    2. How to handle lower intake without taking off fuel line.
    3. How to use vaccum to remove the oils in the valley

A very thank you for posting this video God bless you and your family. I watched more than 25 times to understand and install the new adapter.
Some points 1. Ensure the screws are installed in the cross and square pattern essential for gasket fit. 2. Be patience with the electrical connector. 3. 3. Do not use the tools or socket that are loose. you don't want them to fall in the holes. I almost made that mistake. 4. When tightening the screws torque is important. But hey this save me $1000 bucks that dealer wanted.

I did notice you put 5w30 oil in. I believe it's supposed to be 5w20.
