  • In this talk, we discover the myth behind the normal brain as an assumption that masks many of the hidden superpowers of neurodivergent humans and reimagines long-stigmatized neurological conditions as wondrous and beautiful human variations. Without an intentional focus and empowerment of neurodivergent humans, we risk diminishing the incredible value this rapidly growing population can bring to our future and losing out on extraordinary innovation that only neurodivergent humans can offer.
Christine is the Founder and CEO of Ignite Inclusion, LLC whose mission is to unlock the inner genius and superpowers of neurodivergent humans for the benefit of us all. She is a connector, storyteller, and cross-cultural inclusive global leader whose superpower is empathy. She holds a BS in International Marketing and is pursuing an MA in Human Resource Development while being a Certified Executive and Life Coach, Certified Coach in Neuroscience of Inclusion and Social, Emotional Intelligence, and a Certified Consultant for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. And this is exactly what we all need to hear. My heart broke as a mother when you shared what happened at your son’s first birthday party invite. I will remember that metaphor of turning the kaleidoscope a notch to see things from another perspective and share it with my own kids. Your son is lucky to have you as his mom to show him what he is capable of with his own unique strengths. Also- Thank you for giving these concise and manageable ways to start the practice of self-directed neuroplasticity. I imagine it’s more difficult to do for older age groups when the brain pathways have been set in a certain way for so long? Or can it be just effective in older ages as it is in early intervention ? Thanks again for sharing this inspiring talk.

Thank you so much for your beautiful words and so happy the message resonated! The beauty of self-directed neuroplasticity is we have the ability to use at any age through the power of practice and building the habit! shifting our brains with conscious intention and using the positive affirmations are powerful ways we can continue to help change the narrative and empower neurodiversity!

Neurodiverse people aren't children. We don't need feel good platitudes.
We need solid examples of others like us doing extraordinary things. Especially on the Autism spectrum, there is very high analytical tendency. Self affirmations get rejected as false.
And as one with ADHD her advice of patience and finding quiet places is just silly.
ADHD is my superpower, but that's not an affirmation. The thousands of dollars my clients put into my bank account is the confirmation that my powers are real, and no amount of "I'm special and unique" would have meant anything before I found this path.
