hey bro, listened to every ep so far, absolutely loved the EAR-ONS series. would 100% kill (not really) for another update. fantastic work in this podcast, much love dude.
The trial was meant to be March this year wasn't it? Based on their Golden State Killer update. I'm wondering if the trial would have to have been put off because of Covid?
The overall presentation and narration is commendable in the way it is arranged. It follows a standard, starting with a preface, contains a well-researched narrative with many details, then contains the aftermath, all done in taste and including the appropriate music. All this leaves you with sense of sadness which also makes you reflect.
Ooh yes please, just lounging around after a hard day nursing while a crazed gunman drove around the same neighbourhood... yeah bit of a rough day, but the most PERFECT day to get a new Casefile ep! Thank you 😊
Oh my God ... I didn't know anybody covered her case. We were right here when that happened, we were around her age and we were terrified. Before, we would be all over the Stanford campus til all hours of the evening and early morning. At that time 2 possibly 3 different serial killers were working around the area. But the worst thing any of us had come across were flashers. Usually Stanford students who have sort of snapped from the pressure of finals so they would go out and wag their weenies at high school girls because the high school was right across the street from the university. Was so happy when they finally solved her case. Was just wrong that her family and ex would never know exactly what happened to her, by whom.
I still don't buy the official version that states that Crawford did it. It still makes no sense, despite whatever DNA evidence they might have recovered 40 yrs later. They already had DNA evidence from the semen left on the pillow and handprint on the candle used on Arlis and neither matched Crawford's at the time. Why would that suddenly change now? If anything, this fact alone points to a different perpetrator or perpetrators. The police refuses to acknowledge that. It seems to me that Sheriff Smith was just looking for her 15 minutes of fame. They never investigated the existence of a phone listing for a fake Bruce D Perry nor the blonde man who approached Arlis at her work place the day before the murder and who resembled the man that entered the church after her. Nothing adds up in this case. One last thing, why would Crawford just sit still waiting for the cops to show up one day if he was actually guilty? He would've at least moved out of state and tried to change his identity if he was in fact the killer. My guess is that he committed suicide because he thought they were after him to jail him again for the stolen items from Stanford or some other thing (which he didn't want to go to prison for), not murder. THIS IS STILL A COLD CASE TO ME and anyone who has a brain.
really? the one thing i don’t get is what you’re saying the dna didn’t match at first. what, 40 years ago when they didn’t even have testing? you do bring up some good points as well, but.. i’d like to hear more about this. i thought it was an incredible video here and how they came back around to all the things they started off with in the beginning having caught each person for each (eventually) unrelated crime. although. they did seem related, well especially the two victims that weren’t Arlis that is. what do you both think actually was the motive then? it seems like it would have had to be someone who knew this specific church, and therefore immediate area around at the least; and- had the times just right to just miss people there when she walked in, but not alert anyone or a watch,an afterwards, if it wasn’t him, and if he didn’t do his job checking in… ?
Yes keep them rolling in casefile. On the road to 100k subs. Me again 😂 the day you hit 100k subs can I reccomend which case to do next. I'm from Ireland heard your Graham Dwyer/Elaine Ohara case but had already read the book. Ireland has a serious dark past and there's some cases that nobody seems to cover on RUclips. Anyways been here since 1k subs. Always commenting about the 100k subs. Keep up the good work 18k will be hit today well done 😀☺
So simply safe spies on you? Wow, that's a plot twist. I'm sure there's NO chance of them recording you while you don't know... I mean, no one EVER does illegal things like that, eh? Shady AF y'all.
The only part I don't understand is the part where the witness named Bruce saw the flute player and the girl who looked like Arliss, lying on the floor and smiling at him. I'm confused: what that whole scene was about. Was she a willing participant in a weird ritual? Was she grimacing in pain? Can someone explain if I missed something?
It was a person lying, making up a story for attention, as so many people do with highly publicized cases like this one. You wouldn’t believe how common this is.
this comment. exactly what i was thinking. but yes either the person made up the story… or… i mean what idiot murderer would draw attention play a damn flute when the place is supposed to be closing and he’s about to murder someone. i get there’s more to it than what im stating but. sounds like…possible bs. very odd, though, from any angle. Pied Piper come to real life maybe??
I love the amount of research this team does. It makes for very gripping storytelling. But the little things, particularly grammatical errors and not researching pronunciation, seem to be things that leap out at me. Today, it was hearing "flootist" 😬🙉 over and over! It was like fingernails down a chalkboard in this otherwise compelling narrative.
This channel is so good. This man is very good at narrating. Plus the Aussie accent is like the icing on the cake.
I totally agree!
It's decent, but he took ten minutes of dialogue just to say, 'Stanford.' Word salad.
It's an AI Narrator.
Im an Aussie I think his the best.
Excellent....time to chill for an hour listening to one of the best, if not THE best....Cheers Case File
So glad you're back , a hundred thousand welcomes from Ireland.☘️
The best channel on RUclips...!! I even enjoy the ads!!

Easily the most well-researched true crime writers.
100. without a doubt, the best.
@Victoria G ah I'll have to edit that to make it plural

Great way to spend a beautiful Saturday (in Michigan.) Thank you for all your hard work!
i like the way the casefiles just keep rolling. his voice is very soothing. he sounds like he has a calm mo.

It’s strange, 180 people in memorial service? And she had no friends 😢
❤ So So sad .

Got away for it for over 40 yrs
Is there a way to get ahold of case 5t
So much for that aspect of The Ultimate Evil

👍
How right Jean is, this "person"
will have to face his Maker
The safety alarms sound pretty cool and also very protective.
This one starts like a brochure for Stanford U! Doesn't really add depth to the story.
Agreed it’s like ok we get it it’s a nice uni
I thought I was being recruited.
Love Case file but this episode had too much information about the Uni. Almost like an ad for the place.
Who else is here because of the Netflix Sons of Sam documentary?
That wud be an interesting case for them to cover

I'd do so much better with the ladies if I had his accent.
So would I.
Preach
Really? You think it's the accent? Sounds like self confidence might be at the heart of the issue
Man the adds kill your work
There’s always ,,fast forward ,,.😮
