One things I can add after many years of Triathlon traveling, etc. is to bring backups as much as you can, of smaller things like Goggles, glasses, shoes, etc., as you will run into some sort of problem, accident, etc.

I did the Great North Run years ago and got to Newcastle at 9:30 PM and realised I'd forgotten my shoes. I had to rush to a Tesco before it shut at 10 and grab the only trainers they had in, really basic ones. Since then I've always started packing days out from an event and I'm always really paranoid about forgetting anything.
How was a swim suit not one the first essential 10 items thrown into the suitcase?!?! I'm not sure how you plan to use those goggles and swim cap if you're limiting yourself to such bare essentials...or are guys suggesting training camp at a nudist colony?
With life as it is, training camps are not an option. When I travel for business, I take running shoes and kit, and when going on a family holiday we take all the bikes (4+trailer), and running kit (also race kit if I we organized our holiday to coincide with an event).
It would of been great to expand on the bike case shipping options…most RUclips videos are almost 2-3 years old on the subject….if you do one, use an XL bike to show the max available space….you might be surprised how slim the offerings are for hard and soft shell cases…..thanks again for a great vlog
@@gtnThanks for taking the suggestion under advisement. You might be surprised how many people have problems finding a good bike case when traveling for a race....there is not a lot of current info out there on current bikes and cases....thanks
What is an essential on your packing list for a training camp or race? Let us know if we missed any! 🙌
You missed a swimsuit and heart rate monitor, as well as chamois cream- never travel without!
Wow
