Thanks for watching everyone! Don’t forgot to like + sub 🚀 For the visual & audio aficionados out there you may notice that the audio quality isn’t that great and there’s a mark on the screen after a while. Well, not only did we have a dirty camera sensor but we also forgot to bring the microphone wire 🤌🏼 (What a 6am start will do to a team of 3 apparently 😂)
Im a brit living in Norway, I stupidy got the open water bug mid February, I've learnt a lot about brain freeze pain tolerance! Up to 1500meters now loving it. Thank you for the informative videos
I swam in Baltic sea on monday - the water was at (un)comfortable 3.7 degrees. My plan was to manage to swim for at least 10 minutes. I emerged after 20, so I was happy. I took your advice from previous videos and got myself some neoprene accessories. Plus building your own system is one of the greatest tools, that you can utilize in pretty much any area of your life. Thank you for the amazing content!
have yet to get into open water swimming. Not a fear, just havent seriously gone swimming in a long time. Was really good at it in my early teenage/childhood years. Definitely inspiring me to get back into it
Great vid mate, loved your comment on doing something scary. I did that last year couldn’t swim well so I entered a 70.3! Best thing I’ve done !! Great content !
I recently decided it's a goal of mine to swim the Chesapeake Bay as a way to feel connected to where I grew up. This video comes at great timing. Thanks!
Love some open water content 😍 Couldn't agree more about the weird rivalry between wetsuit and skins swimmers, swim your own swim! Currently training for a channel swim, so no wetsuit for me. Does make getting dressed after much easier 😄
Was so relieved to hear someone talk about fear of 'monsters' in the water even when you know there's nothing in there that could kill you. I thought I was the only one, but I do get a fear of 'things in the water' and while I know it's unwarranted, I also notice it's there nonetheless.
What do you do re hydration when you get into slightly longer distances? I'm heading into 2-4k and find myself getting extra thirsty (not helped by occasionally gulping sea water)
In capetown it very cold in the Atlantic. Firstly you have to factor the air temp of 15 to 30 the sea is 6 to 15. So you get very cold if you dont swim hard.I usually stopped after my wrists froze up. I didnt have a wetsuit. I swam at durdle door and noticed everyone said it was too cold. I always wet my neck thoroughly before the plunge. I thoroughly enjoyed the 12 degrees.
Watching this from Dubai (October and water temp is 32c just to annoy) I can feel your shiver at 9 minutes 😂 I need lessons hence watching the video so if you ever feel like running a winter swim camp here would be great
Thanks for watching everyone! Don’t forgot to like + sub 🚀

How thick is your wetsuit? Great vid
Swimming Kit Links in the Description would be warmhearted… pun, most definitely, intended.
