Glass skin is a Korean makeup trend..the part you're not getting is that Koreans take ridiculously good care of their skin..the trend was created to highlight the skin...it's all about the SKIN. Everyone in the comments complaining that she already has flawless skin...the whole trend is built to reflect that. Not every trend is for everyone...If you have textured skin work on improving it's condition first..Glass skin wouldn't be for you.

Skip anything with oils in it!! That's the quickest way to look sweaty. I cringed when she used face oil in the video. Creams and oils with your foundation can be a recipe for disaster for some people, especially if you have oily skin.

I think you will still be able to accomplish the look. Moisturize with a face oil and prep the parts of the face you want to give the glassy look with a cream or liquid highlighter. Then go full coverage on the foundation.. Then follow the contouring tips from here and highlight the skin and do finishing touches with a face oil or face gloss mixed with highlighter and facial mist. That might work, but if you have oily skin in addition to the acne scars......you might need to modify.
It won't happen overnight, but I struggled with the same. My tricks include clean, moisturized skin (moisture prevents overproduction of sebum =acne), pixi or The Ordinary Co. Glycolic acid peels for turnover and SUNBLOCK all day every day.

Y'all in the comments just need to take better care of your skin. Vitamin C serum is amazing for acne scars and redness. Maybe go see your dermatologists to find out what is causing your acne. Y'all really just need to take better care of your skin and stop complaining. This is coming from a girl who gets cystic acne, who is very acne prone, who has very oily skin, and who has heaps of pigmentation. Take care of your skin and it'll clear up.
I cleanse, tone, moisturise, exfoliate, use sheet masks regularly & also mud masks. I've tried using serums and oils too. My skin is better than when I was a teenager, of course, but it's still not great. My pores seem like they're huge and I still have some scars, still prone to spots (if I'm not drowning myself w/ water and having too much coffee aka sugar) & even when my skin is completely clear I still have redness. Honestly I take better care of my skin than anyone I know and it's still not good!

Seeing a dermatologist doesn't mean you'll get acne free skin tho. Dermatologists aren't even sure how to cure it. That's why there's thousands of acne treatment products on the market & people spend a lot of time & money on them. Sometimes someone is just gonna have acne no matter what they do or take. Sometimes you can take absolutely immaculate care of your skin, but still have acne, texture, large pores, etc...
You do realize acne can also be genetic or hormonal right? It’s not all about how “clean” your skin is. Some people will never have totally clear skin.
People in the comments beat me to it. seeing a dermatologist may be expensive not to mention vitamin c serums and etc can be equally expensive as well. Most importantly genetics and hormones can effect skin just like hair and everything else.

Glass skin is a skin “cleansing” trend not a makeup trend (clearskin, glass skin, translucent skin, perfecting the thorough cleansing of the skin, not only from the outside but from the inside as well) although this highlighting and dewy foundation technic really is cool. I have always personally loved a dewy finish and love adding oil to my foundations. Armani has pretty liquid highlight as well as luminous foundations. I really love Fenti highlighters to finish any look as well but sparingly because Im not into flouring my face either. It soaks up the dewiness and begins to cake and pull apart with facial movements. I have been wanting to try the Fenti foundation as well just have not gotten around to it. Pretty makeup look.

But so much product is left over on her hand and not used like the concealer and highlighter which seems like a waste especially as I would expect the concealer to work perfectly fine without warming on my hand. Still LOVED the look and definitely going to try it out!
It's a cream product. Would you expect cold butter to spread perfectly on slightly warm bread? No, the butter has to get warm before it will spread properly same thing with makeup.
Im sure if you held the matchstick ti your undereye then it would warm up and you wouldn't have to waste it.

Well considering the contour, she scooped the product off the back of her hand to use it. She also used the remaining face oil which she had for the foundation to mix it with the highliting powder to highlight some things. Ofc you can be more careful, but she didn't put half of the product there and threw it away.

Every time i mix my fenty foundation with any facial oil, it turns about 5 shades darker and changes texture to a clogged, paste like texture and looks terrible. I've tried numerous facial oils including one by Glow Lab and a plain argan oil, but it always goes wrong! I just mix two pumps with a few drops of oil on the back of my hand before blending it onto my skin with sponge or brush. What am I doing wrong?
I never mix my fenty with facial oil. But primer oil works so well.
