Kings girl I own a star rival I can say the seat is comfortable. And sturdy. The webbing straps that hold the back up into place do become warn over time. The pop rivets come loose. The buckles can break. The straps slip in the buckles some. I used black electrical tape to wrap up the loose ends of the straps, and stop them from slipping in the buckles, works well. I think the 135$ is worth it, but beach chairs can be found for less money.
o BOTE vs Hobie itrek. Drive aside, which do you trust more to last? One RUclipsr said he thought the itrek inflatable was a downgrade from the i11s because it was more prone to pinholes. Hobie drive is superior. But what about the inflatable vs inflatable portion. Minus drive and Rutter
Hi aliex. I have a star rival. And I like it. I am looking at upgrading to a pedal drive. Do you like this inflatable seat, or should a person swap out the seat for a beach chair, or star seat 135$? There is not any place I can test out one of these seats in oregon, so I am not convinced.
I almost bought that Aero Rackham. I had just sold a Aero HD in like new condition to a friend. The board was inflated four times total and used once on the water and the seam blew out 26" seam failure. The kicker with Bote is, after the warranty period, your on your own, no support, no repairs, nothing. I will stay far & away from their products.
I have that one and Love it. Don’t care for the inflatable seat (maybe it’s defected) but I am looking for another option.
