    Could you get the same results if you did one valve open one valve closed no matter what stroke it's on?

    THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I couldn't find a video anywhere on the valve adjustment or valve clearance on the 420cc motor. Here's a couple of bucks💰to show my appreciation. Hope others will do the same if they too learn something from your videos. I'm using the "$Thanks$ botton above. Peace out and God Bless.😎✌🖖🙏🤝

    I just paid someone to adjust the valves on my Toro zero turn and within 2 weeks it is difficult to start. Doing the same thing again. What do you think is the problem??

      I’m having similar problems with my valves staying adjusted correctly. I do my own work but I’m not an expert. I’m beginning to think that the rocker arms need replacing. I noticed extra side to side instability while trying to set the gap. So, I’ve ordered the rocker arm assemblies for my Toro Timecutter SW4200 model 74784. I don’t have the experience to identify a marginally worn rocker arm from a totally good or totally bad rocker arm. So, I think that might be a good subject for a video.
      What may be happening on both our machines is that the valves rocker arms are not centered completely when the gap is set. Then as the engine runs the rockers center themselves and that causes the gap to change. Again, I’m not qualified to say what the problem actually is but replacing the rockers assemblies will tell me something.
      Remember, give me enough time and new parts and I will fix anything! LOL 😊

    Yes!!! Thank you Thank you! I really appreciate it Jeremy. Your a God send sir. 🙏 much much appreciated! So when Im at top dead center a 1/4 past, I can adjust both sets of valves so intake first then exhaust then on to the other cylinder? In other words I do both valves on one side then on to the other 2 valves on the other cylinder I don't have to turn the motor over anymore after that? As long as I at TDC Hope you understand my question

      @@THEMOWERMEDIC1 I believe you can do it with one open one closed too and that's what confuses me as well in the beginning. But the manufacturer tells you TDC 1/4 past. More than one way to skin a cat I guess. But I'd rather just do it by the manufacturer regardless if it's the same outcome

      Kohler utilizes self forming thread bolts when you back them out the threads get clogged with aluminum you have to run them in and out very carefully or they will snap off every time experience and finesse is key here

    Question: My brother in law replaced the head gasket on a Briggs 14 OHV engine and messed up the valve adjustment. When I went to do it I noticed only the exhaust stem had a cap and the intake didn't. Did Briggs ever only put the stem cap on just the exhaust? I'm nervous about starting it and don't have access to a parts engine. Thanks to anyone that can help.

    • @crispymen8976
      @crispymen8976 5 месяцев назад

      Basically some engines come with that cap and some don’t, I just figured that out myself, if you take the rockers off you will see space to fit the cap, most likely there is a gap on the exhaust and no gap on the intake, that’s because the exhaust is meant to have that cap where the intake isn’t, uselly on bigger motors there will be a cap on both
