Last year, Ryan Wilson met up with fellow bike traveler Joe Sasada to tackle the dirt road version of the Trans Ecuador Mountain Bike Route. In Part one, they got their feet wet on this classic route, but in this chapter, Ryan and Joe visit the heart of Ecuador's iconic volcano corridor and run into the trials and tribulations that come with any good bike tour. I remember when John and Lael cycled "UP" Devils Punchbowl near my old house in Crested Butte, CO. They published a bunch of photos of the push / walk up, the camp in cold, light snowy conditions and that converted me from a road cycling tourist to a bike packer.. I had never imagined anything like that trip was possible... Then on to Iohan and Simon... and all of you here in this video. That you for the inspiration, great film work, and music. Incredible video and mesmerizing video. I also love the photos and in the current post, like Mr Watson said, surreal. La sierra is very green Haven't been back to Ecuador in almost 3 decades. I miss the Chimborazo. One of the most scariest rides is the Cordillera, when you are traveling from Quito to the coast and the roads have no guardrails. Peace!
