I want to thank you for sharing this knowledge. I am not sure if I am going to use this to create videos. But this tutorial has sparked my interest again after many years to install After Effects and work on my portfolio. Best wishes! 😄
This is literally how I do my videos even before AI, class. Great video. Will be looking into more complex camera movements going forward as I've rinsed & repeated
Used to do this in frigen PPT haha. Underrated for animation. Magic eraser tools do a better job at filling those layers tho. And you can do the animations in say Cap Cut
Dude, amazing! I will be using this technique to create shots for my documentaries. Thank you so much for being so gracious and sharing this. I can't even begin to tell you how grateful I am.
Ryan excellent video, I need your help at minute 24:19, what you did with the image that seems to have a mirror effect. It is important to know how it went step by step. ¿Could you help me? I'll be very greatful. Tell me what you did.
That's the most amazing easy to understand video on this topic I've ever come across. You've earned a subscriber mate. Keep it up, I would love to see more like these. 👍
I like it. I know all those apps in depth so no problem there but I really appreciate the innovative way you baked it up. I'm gonna try something similar. thank you.
Ryan, thanks to you I can now launch a YT channel telling my own stories for the world to see. Thank you for this. Not a single tutorial before this one was remotely as useful as yours. God bless! Can't wait to see how you edited the whole trailer. And can't believe this stuff is for free. I have no doubt this channel is hitting 100k subs before the year is out if you keep posting videos like this one. Also, guys, I subbed to Skillshare just to get his courses. INSANE VALUE. I am quitting my job within a month
That's true. But people aren't going to find the video and discover what is possible if they don't know what the parallax effect is and aren't actively searching for it. That's why we sell the end result not the method in the headlines. Adding the fog is compositing vfx I believe. Thanks for the support
Bro i watched this video months ago and I wanted to repeat it again but I had no way to get it because i didn't remember it's name. i am happy to see it again it's more engaging and helping thank you
I paid for an exact course covering everything this video has on Domestika and it was in spanish and so difficult to follow. This video helped clarfiy everything... What value you provided in this content... more like this please!
Thank you man for the time you put on this. Mostly I knew how to make th effects but still it was interesting to watch. Maybe some fire effects next time.
Thanks man! Very encouraging. Still finding my meet with what I really want to do. I think I have more value to bring than just AI tutorials etc. But let's see! Thanks again
Man, you really rock, i just subscribed to your RUclips channel and let me tell you that you're a skill and nice teacher because all what you're giving to us is for free and honestly I'd pay bucks for your course because it seems great. You know, I'll apply all your advice until I become better and better on this stuff. One thing that surprises the most is about how your natural explanation is because isn't hard at all to follow your guidelines during the video.
Hello this is absolutely amazing. But can we do all this on blender? Since photoshop and after effect costs so much. And if we can can you put up a tutorial?
I enjoyed most of it, but when you got to After Effects you were cruising through. I can't figure out how to add an Adjustment Layer, the or what the Control Alt Shift H is supposed to do. After adding the lightening it was for those who are trying to learn you left some big jumps in knowledge. Was really great and then kind of fell apart for me.
And I know that part of it is me not knowing AE well enough, but there is an Adjustments tick box, but it doesn't bring up the Adjustment options. Any right click I did anywhere on the bar or the Adjustment box didn't bring up the Adjustment options. Keyframing is always a little tricking, but I could see what you were doing. As I am on a Mac, the Control-Alt-Shitt-H, (and that is what the closed captioning said as I couldn't understand it verbally) and I tried it with "option" and nothing was changed, but the biggest mystery was the Adjustment Layers, which are so universal in the apps that it seems it should be easy to bring them up, or perhaps I am just a moron. I have done tutorial videos before too and I know how it can at times pick up pace it gets a little messy. I enjoyed the foundational information, and lots of good things as I am an avid MJ user and I have done a lot of video and am anxious to merge the two. (mrpworldwide on IG if you want to see the work) The tutorial was really good, but I couldn't finish it with the finesse you did and so it was a bit frustrating at the end, but I did learn a lot. @@ryancollinsvideo
This is great! Since you're precomping so much it's a bit easier if you use the motion graphics tab in AE so you don't have to go in and alter each position like with the lighting. Thanks for the help!
Hey got a question I'm a complete newby so I need some help with an idea that I have....in any scene that you create in Midjourney, is it possible that you can take a picture, and change it into an anime type of image and put that image into the 3d video that you've created?
Select the object, go up to select, load selection, click on background, right click, it should be there. If it's greyed out you need to rasterize the image. You might be missing a step
Awesome, I've been doing this method for years using real photos that I've taken, but the opportunities are limitless now with AI images. Will have to get back into it.
At the end of the video, when i press rasterize layer for the middle, it make that layer static and spoil the effect, i don't know if there's a parameter or something else to touch. Please
Awesome video, I do want to give you a suggestion though. You were doing a great job of explaining every command/step you were taking in the beginning of the video. For example, when you were showing us how to separate the background, middle ground, and foreground, you were very concise, you showed us to use the foreground selection tool and what commands to use to remove the selection from certain places and add it back. But it got a little fuzzy when you started to show us how to animate the different layers. For example, at 24:40, you all the sudden said it was too fast and then "dragged the key frame out", but you didn't explain what that was doing or go in depth on it. For me, as someone who is a complete newbie, that kind of stuff really confuses me, as I am not able to follow you step by step and have to guess what "moving the key frame out" or "removing the key frames (24:50)" does and why I'm doing it. You were just moving a little too fast to keep up with once you got to the Adobe After Effects portion. But great video, this did really help!
Yo man totally understood. Appreciate the feedback after effects is a whole beast in itself so had to draw the line at some point but I'll maybe make a series and go more in depth on each step!
Amazing video, I'm using davinci studio though so will have to work out how this translates to that. Good luck everyone with your video making and RUclips careers!

it's all about editing and animating in photoshop and after effects. so let's just say you already have an image, you don't need midjourney at all.

This is just making the parallax effect. One of the basics when learning image editing. However, adding extra things like the fog is a nice touch 🙂

How do you make the lighting look less boxy? Like when it flashes, the whole chunk around the lighting flashes.
Use the pen tool to make a mask around the flash and then press "f" to bring up the feather and increase it to soften the edge of the mask 😊
How can I do the delete and fill selection function in photopea? 16:06
No idea - I use Photoshop

Thanks. I don't get the Delete and Fill Selection. Not sure if PS has changed the layout again after the update.
Select the object, go up to select, load selection, click on background, right click, it should be there. If it's greyed out you need to rasterize the image. You might be missing a step

Rasterizing the middle ground undoes the 3D layer and destroys the motion of the camera, how do i fix that?

15:12 using Layer Via Cut will actually cut it out for you and you can skip the very next step (select inverse).
But it cuts the background out so when you zoom you will have a hole in the image
