This doesn't even sound like an OST for anime this is probably what you hear when u summon a top tier demon, 10/10
they actually summon i guess around at hundreds of thousand of such top tier demons that each of them were being described as "God of Destruction" since season 1 + one bigger boss than "God of Destruction.

For this final season Kohta Yamamoto does take more of a lead with the soundtrack. Some of your other reactions were soundtracks done by Hiroyuki Sawano. Each of them have a different approach in tone but all unique in its own way.

@Aditya I That's your opinion and opinions can be trash, most of the people consider Ashes on fire as the best ost (although overused). It's that one song made by Kohta yamamoto which stole the spotlight. Kohta yamamoto is perfect for s4's ominous/horrific tone.

@@leem.5917 He does. That's essentially what the dashes and Lucifer's Bane are. But instead of blasting the titan's face off with two arm-sized barrels of fiery fury, man pulls The Crucible out and annihilates the entire neck instead of just the nape.
Fun fact: at 4:17 and 8:12, the number of drum beats is 4. In Japanese, the number 4 can be pronounced as "shi," which is the Japanese word for death.

I think a more viable reason is that number four in east asian tradition is generally seen as unlucky and/or death
Yeah, 4 can be either called "shi" or "yon" and from what I've seen, people usually use "yon" because "shi" has the same kanji of death "死(し - Shi)".
Iirc, they avoid both the number 4 and the number 9, since 4, as stated previously, has the same kanji as death, and 9 "ku", has the same kanji to pain/suffering "苦(く- Ku)".
So hey, we might as well stretch it and say that the 9 titan shifters are a representation of pain/suffering.

@@fahrenheit2101 I can't say for sure the reason why, I never got too deep in this topic. But I would assume it's because of the dark connotation, since 9 also has two names, "ku" and "kyuu".
7 also has two names "shichi" and "nana", but in this case they mostly use "nana" to not be confused with 1 "ichi".

Btw the person who composed this is Kohta Yamamoto and he joined AOT only in the Final Season. He was not involved as a Main Composer in Season 1-3, but was part of the team, so when you make comparisons of like "oh he uses the bells really well" your talking about someone different, i.e Hiroyuki Sawano

Yamamoto also helped with character songs for AoT I believe. They’re like lyrical theme songs that were never released in the official soundtrack (Separate album and I think these were released as promo for S2? Can’t remember all the details). I know he was credited as the main composer for one of Eren’s songs. So this guy has actually been working on AoT since early on, in part that he’s mentored by Mr. Sawano himself. Its so cool and I’ve been loving his vision in S4. You can hear the influences of Sawano’s themes from previous seasons but with a new touch.

Bro you are missing out on a lot of Hiroyuki Sawano's tracks. These tracks from the new studio composer are also really complementary to the show but you should definitely check tracks like "WMid" , "Counterattack Humanity" or "Vogel im Kafig" that guy tries new shit and succeeds
