Thanks for the dive into AC systems on swapped cars. One of the reasons for me staying D series on my HF was to maintain the original AC parts. I was living in Cali at the time and we normally would get into the triple digits.
I'm on the mission now collecting ac parts!Just got a 93 Accord climate control box,few more peices to go.👍🏾That no ac life sucks here in Florida sometimes.
AC is one of those things that was one of the first to go when you got your first car as a teenager, but as an adult if the car dont have AC or cant be fixed easily Im not gonna waste my time on it
My theory is with the thermostat wire removed from the evaporator, the compressor kept running until it got hot and locked up. Other theory could be not enough oil, or just that cheap Chinese compressor. Or could be all three. There is also an ac pressure switch that cuts the compressor off when pressure is too low or too high. Its my understanding the integra specifically is the easiest to keep ac with k series correct? the dashboard hvac unit controls the compressor operation rather than the ecu as in other cars? Just hook up the single wire for the compressor and use the custom lines? Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks and thanks again for another great video.
Those little balls are from the dryer You shuold flush out the condenser Get a new evap (since your putting in new valve and dryer) Take out any oil the "new" compressor has add oil to spec and you should be ready to go
woooooo new HSG!!
Two thumbs up on being a grown ass adult and keeping/fixing A/C!
Good stuff as always!
I've always wanted a Yellow Integra.

Did you add oil to that compressor or it came filled with oil.
I added oil to the compressor beforeI installed it. I forgot to mention it.
