    The Mitsubishi Expo LRV was a very early version of what a crossover would be like. Then the Rav4 came out, followed by the CR-V, and then a something for luxury buyers, the RX 300.

      I had a '93 and it had all the qualities of the ad. No part failed from anything but rust, and this was my high school car. It saw a lot of abuse, and ran great up until the end. Solid car, killed by rust in the end. I still own a 3800 powered vehicle.

    I wonder if someone would help me. The commercial I am looking for was loved by me so much that I recorded it on VHS back in the early nineties. I can't remember the make/model but the car was driving in the rain thru a city and it was nighttime I believe and the road had maybe a millimeter of rain on its surface. The sound was kind of odd, not really music. Sort of deep and epic I guess? I can't find the tape and I have been searching for the commercial for years. Would be 1992 ish. Maybe 93.

    Dodge commercial from 1991 5:51 "no substitute for cubic inches" *acura enters conversation* "we're making 160 hp out of 1.7 L of motor bruh"

    • @chrissikora8097
      @chrissikora8097 4 года назад

      @PHOENIX RISING Sorry to burst your bubble, but a dodge stealth is a rebadged Mitsu 3000 GT with a 6F72TT motor, highly unreliable and expensive to own, I worked for mitsu for 4 years, nightmares to fix. honda B17a1 was making 160 hp from 1.7 L N/A. 6F72TTs are 290 hp from 3.0L forced induction, case closed.

    • @chrissikora8097
      @chrissikora8097 4 года назад

      @PHOENIX RISING I agree the Nsx is overpriced and underpowered, the reason for that being that vehicles manufactured in Japan during that period had a 300 hp restriction, Honda/Acura wanted to make a Ferrari/Lamborghini competitive vehicle. however, they needed to make the entire chassis aluminum to reduce weight to compensate for Hp limitations. Bottom line: underpowered and too expensive to produce.
