To my fellow Filipinos who are insisting he speaks in Filipino and criticizes his grammar: Stop this crab mentality nonsense! We as Filipinos are blessed to be able to speak at least 2 languages that include the universal language -- ENGLISH! It is the ability to communicate with different people from all around the world! Jake built his pages and his following from scratch! It's his page, not ours! His house, his rules! We are free to leave if we don't like it here. I just subscribed here a few months ago and I had no idea how interested I would be in the trucker life until I chanced upon one of Jake's videos, and now I've been regularly watching his every release whenever I see it pop up in my YT feed! To Jake: just continue doing you, man! There are far more people supporting you than those few noisy crabs. Keep on truckin! ;)

Those bullies are just jealous because you can speak English while they only know mostly Tagalog, they think only for themselves because they're insecure about a Filipino who speaks proper English, in AMERICA. You can tell they've never been outside the country nor have spoken with foreign people. I myself am Filipino too and I also currently live in Philippines, but I'm just proud to see Filipinos who can speak both languages, because we can connect with everybody in this world, not just our home country ✨
I love traveling to Italy so when I first went there I researched the culture, customs and language. The language is always the hardest BUT the locals absolutely appreciate my attempt to speak it. I get treated a little better and they even help me by correcting me, and fortunately they have the patience to do that. They, being appreciative, makes me happy that we can communicate no matter how rough it is. (There's also Google Translate that helps.) I applaud you for making the attempt to speak English because even with all the minor inaccuracies in what is spoken, we understand what you're saying. Be proud that you can speak it. In Europe, many countries require children to speak at least two different languages by the time they're 15/16/17. With all the different countries being so close you pretty much have no choice. You're lucky that you can immerse yourself everyday. I don't have the luxury of being surrounded by people speaking Italian to get that kind of immersion. Next year, I will travel to Spain so I have a year to get to an intermediate level, hopefully. We got you, don't forget that. Huge hugs from me!

All Filipino friends I have and many I just meet but don’t know well all speak English. So I don’t understand what the problem is. Also if someone like your self decides to speak another language, I just put on the CC button and as long as the translation is set up I just read that while the person talks. You lived and worked in America if you speak english with the wrong intonation and diction locals would have a hard time understanding what you say to them for short language barrier of which some race misunderstood you as showing off which for me is skin deep attitude and it's sad to say filipinos were doing this, I myself was a OFW and had experienced the same fate.
