That was enjoyable to watch. I'll bet the people attending enjoyed the entire experience too, almost as much as the Okinawan Sensei enjoyed passing on their knowledge. IMHO this is precisely the sort of thing that is needed for traditional karate to survive & be passed along correctly.

Hi, can you please explain what the term Kobayashi means in the context of Okinawan karate, Shorin-ryu specifically? Is it a way of learning, a way of practicing or performing the kata, etc?

I live in Georgia (USA) and there are around 3 to 6 people in every dojo I have been in my area. It would be amazing to have this kind of instruction.
