I just made this tonight! I followed the instructions in the video and ingredients listed. I did not vary except I only had tomato sauce and no crushed tomatoes. Hoping that doesn't affect it too much. It looks just like yours, Chris...maybe just a touch darker. I'll let you know how it tastes. Made a huge pot! 4 chicken thighs, 3/4 pound sausage and a pound of shrimp. 😋

Thank you! I always wanted to make jambalaya. I love seafood but my wife won't touch it. And I prefer dark meat from the chicken too. Especially thighs. So guess what? I'm gonna make this for me!❤

My kids like it with hot peppers 🌶️. What would you serve as a side with this for supper?

This is a complete meal. I serve it alone. Just some type of toasted bread. You side for this is incorporated in the meal (rice). Maybe you can add a salad but it’s not needed.

Thank you Ms Chris..I was looking for your recipe for jambalaya two months ago and two weeks ago too,you didn’t have one until now lol..I used my Moms recipe and it’s so flavorful but I have the issue of my rice being too mushy, that’s the only difference from hers..I only cooked it twice in my life homemade but ima keep trying until it’s perfect for me..we ate it anyway because it was very good I just don’t like my rice like that,so I’ll do what you said next time and turn it off and let it set before it’s time maybe then I’ll have the rice texture to my liking, thank you lady🌹

Also my mom cooks hers in the oven,so I tried that first and I did stove top ima get it right one day..I think my problem was that I was hard headed and used 3 cups of rice and not 2 as she recommended 😂

Hi Chris, I love your videos. I appreciate your policy of waste not, want not. I'm 76 years old and my mom taught me that in the 50s. I make my Jambalaya almost exactly the same. Have a great Christmas and a healthy New Year.
