Finished eating my first bowl. Now that's what I'm talking about. I did not stray away from your recipe and it was spot on. The tip to stir after 10 minutes helped as I can feel it sticking to the bottom of my stir fry pan. Grandkids should be here in 20 minutes. Can't wait to see their reaction. Thank you for this great recipe.
I have to substitute your seasoning for a different one. I am not complaining I am just a widow on disability income which sucks. Your recipes are great and easy for me to afford. Thank you.
I have learned so much from you and your nephew. I have been studying home cooking for the last five years with no regrets. Blessings to you and family. 😎👍
AB is the real deal with cooking some awesome Cajun meals 😋 I'm originally from New Orleans. I see this shrimp, sausage and rice dinner on my table soon! I'm also thinking about stuffing some bell peppers with the leftovers... Thanks 👍
Hey AB: I made this recipe for our block party a week and a half ago. I forgot to take a picture. It was delicious. I used yellow Spanish rice instead of regular. I made it again yesterday without the shrimp for my physical therapists. They’re always talking about how I cook a lot with my granddaughter and don’t bring anything in there. So I took some to them today. I love this recipe and will make this often. Thanks for all your recipes that I will be trying.😋🤤🍤🍚
Just made this. I used red bells and Anaheim chilis as my peppers, and I added a bag of frozen peas & carrots jsut for good measure. So bomb! Thanks for the inspiration!
Just bought the best of both worlds cook book. I’m always watching you and Mr make it happen, for cooking ideas and recipes. You guys truly are an inspiration. Can’t wait to try this one out though looks delicious.
I just made this. I dont have his A rub, but since this is a cajun dish, i used tumeric, smoked paprika, black pepper, cumin, and Kingsford Cajun style spicy all purpose seasoning. I had everything except fresh garlic so i used granulated when he added his. My peppers were the small sweet peppers. It came out absolutely fantastic. My husband who grew up eating food like this fell in love with me all over again. Thank you so much.
I have *never* seen this dish cooked like this! You did it again, Sir. I'm adding the ingredients to my shopping list right now, we will be making this this weekend. Tfs!
Just made a big dinner with shrimp, grits and grillades and crab cakes and now I'm sitting here watching this video with my "everybody left now" 3rd helping. And I'm thinking, damn! I'm getting hungry, I gotta make that!! AB's cooking is FIRE for sure!
Greetings....first time!! I am using a family heirloom...the cast skillet been passed down for generations, how many not too sure. I have enjoyed just watching you do your thing. I plan to watch more of your recipes. I am a seafood lover, I am a foodie, always looking for new ideas in the kitchen. I followed the recipe to the letter. I was happy that I had majority of the items in my fridge except the onions and garlic cloves but I made due with the substitutions for each. Delish!!!!!! Thank you!!!
I have all the ingredients and am definitely cooking this tomorrow night for super. Tonight's dinner is already done: baked chicken, a vegetable medley and yellow rice. Only thing I will add to this is parsley. Oh man I can hardly wait. 🥰
I was just thinking about this for my family a week ago. Going to cook for our family gathering and game night. Looks great! And going to do a vegetarian version as well .
Goooood recipe - I always leave the 'handles' on the shrimp cuz I think the handles add to the flavor of what ever you are cooking with them - keep cookin bro as your recipes are really good, simple and quick - just the way I like it!
You ever tried steaming the rice first with coconut milk and bay leaf before adding the other ingredients? I promise you gone go to heaven and back and back to heaven and back again 🤤🤤🤤
This was amazing. I cut up some frozen broccoli florets and threw them in there, added my twist on seasonings and wow wow wow. My crew had 2 helping. My granddaughter was humming while she ate and she only does that when food is delicious. Thanks AB. You are my favorite go to chef.
Man AB your dishes never disappoint, haven’t been watching your videos as of late due to my limited free time but finally got to check in and see how things are and it seems like everything is steady flowing. Dishes still looking on point and having me starving when watching and you stay fresh rocking them Dodger hats. I’m definitely going to have to try your seasoning out along with this recipe. As always keep up the great work and glad to see you still serving that fire on youtube. God bless you and yours good sir and see you again on the next one.
Yes indeed 👍 Delicious! I made this dish yesterday evening after waiting weeks and had 2 bowls for dinner. I know what I'm having this evening also... The only thing I would have done differently was to cook it sooner, like 3 weeks ago 😋 Thanks AB
As a suggestion for those cooking rice outside of a "one pot" process, take off the shrimp tails and add them to the rice water while it's boiling. Remove the tails before putting the rice in. Peeling the shrimp yourself? The shrimp shells can be used in the same manner. The shrimp tail/shell will flavor the water and add an additional almost stealth depth of flavor to the dish. No matter what bite is taken, the shrimp essence is present. Stay codified✊🏾. Later
@SmokinandGrillinwithAB Thanks AB. This works with pasta as well. I really appreciate your channel; my #1 go to when I need consult on preparing a dish.👍🏾
I have no idea what this means? Are you saying cook the rice separately and out the shrimps tails in the rice while you cook the rice? But then so you cool the rice in chicken broth?
Your channel is why all my grandkids love coming over to eat at my house. Either yours or my GrandMothers old world Italian recipies. Thanks. Making this tonight.
I'm from new Orleans & we call this jambalaya where I'm from and this is the exact way I make mine down to the tee the process the ingredients everything so great job AB u never fail only different is the seasoning we big on Tony's & zatarain's here basically a lot of Creole seasonings witch makes it jambalaya something u mentioned in the video but a again great job u made us proud lol keep doing ya thing king!🤘💯💯💯

I have to substitute your seasoning for a different one. I am not complaining I am just a widow on disability income which sucks. Your recipes are great and easy for me to afford. Thank you.

Stay codified✊🏾.
Later
He did NOT have "rice water" to add shells to. The Uncooked rice cooked in the skillet with Chicken broth.
@tavelingmagi
Got it. Thanks for the observation, I should have been clearer in my post.
I'll make an edit.
Excellent idea
@SmokinandGrillinwithAB Thanks AB.
