About Swami Satchidananda:
Swami Satchidananda Saraswati (1914 - 2002) is among the most revered Yoga masters of our time. He was a living example of the teachings of Integral Yoga and its goal of Self-Realization. In 1949, he was ordained as a monk by Sri Swami Sivananda, founder of the Divine Life Society in Rishikesh.
Swamiji was not limited by any particular faith, group, or region. Dedicated to the principle that “Truth is One, Paths are Many,” he went wherever he was asked to serve. Swamiji was a pioneer in the field of ecumenism (inter-faith) and is a guiding light for millions of seekers around the world. He has authored many books and was the founder and director of the Integral Yoga Institutes worldwide.
His teachings are summarized by his motto: “The dedicated ever enjoy supreme Peace. Therefore, live only to serve.” At the age of 87, Swamiji attained his Mahasamadhi on 19 August 2002, in the South Indian city of Chennai.

Hi sir , I have a doubt. On the path of spirituality I got stuck with this confusion/dilemma. When I meditate with the intention of being surrender to God/Universe and increase my bhakti and love to everyone and everything I feel weak and at most of the times I start comparing myself with others as if they are stronger than me. So I thought I should think I have Infinite potential and strength in me and Iam the best in the whole universe. If I think like that I have doubt whether Iam building my ego which is quite opposite to bhakti , love and surrender to God/Universe.
I got stuck in the dilemma as abovesaid, What should be my mindset to overcome the dilemma and attain spiritual growth provided my aim is also to be successful in material world as I have more responsibilities in material world.

My suggestion to you will be, follow some spiritual path. For eg iam into GHJ god home journey . Such paths give us clarity. Otherwise our mind can b a chalkenge as u say
The 'I' that thinks that it is weak or strong is the Ahamkara. In fact us needing spirituality is nothing but our Ahamkaras trying to understand that it doesn't exist. As for performing in the material world goes, then decide based on what is the dharmik way to do things. Best example is the Mahabharata war. Krishna states clearly that Arjuna has to fight his "enemies" not because it will bring him land and wealth but because it is the right thing to do. Remember that the worst murderers, rapists and scammers are also the supreme self, just that their Ahamkaras have drowned deep in ignorance and they act selfishly.
All Sadhana in this kalyug is difficult , start doing naam jap... please listen to the satsang by premanand ji Maharaj
