Smallsound/Bigsound stuff is so incredible. The Buzzz is my favorite superfuzz type circuit, and the Mini is my (almost) always on dirt pedal. It sounds so amp-y no matter what actual amp I put it in front of. Can't wait for part 2!
I love Brian's work so much, every single pedal in the lineup is a winner.
Great video Mike, as always. I love the longer videos :) that Woodcutter sounds amazing. I've just taken my '86 RAT off my board for the first time in ten years, and now perhaps it needs to go back on...

Wish I could have remembered how to play it correctly more quickly! That song comes to mind automatically whenever I plug in a RAT style pedal
I ran out of people to share this with but through a series of odd events I now have a king of tone. I wasn’t ever looking for one and didn’t know much about it but now that I have it I like.

LOVE the pink Woodcutter! I had one for a bit and sold it after finding an orange TPS edition Jam Rattler. It had just a little less woofy low end but there are days I miss the phatness of the Woodcutter!
I don't know about that Rattler you mention, but a good RAT style pedal is always good.

i laughed when you mentioned watching the old zvex demo videos - i used to do the exact same thing! all those lo-res demos pretty much introduced me to the world of 'boutique' effects and a whole dimension of sounds i never thought were possible

Tshirt and shoe game on point. Pedal board is legit. I really need to buy some pedals to run with my Helix. I got the Helix to avoid the pedal quest $$ spend but now I know what flavors I feel like I'm missing so it will be a precise quest.
Thank you for noticing my shoes, they're my favorite Converse I've ever had! The Helix is great and I like it a lot, but I'm still not great at menus, and there are a couple of things it doesn't do well YET. Updates are coming, I'm told.

How does the Woodcutter pedal compare to the OCD?
They're different pedals to my mind. The OCD is your basic "amp in a box" overdrive, and while I do like the sound of the pedal, it's doing something dissimilar to the Wood Cutter, which is a fantastic RAT style distortion.

I sold mine one like two days before he felt the need to express his garbage opinions, so I was pretty lucky really. Value understandably plummeted immediately after that!
I like the OCD sound but I also understand the BS the owner of Fulltone did and I dont want to support that. I have had a Full-Drive 3 for many years but it‘s not on my board anymore.
Do you know any pedal that can do the OCD tone? Or should I just get a chinese made clone? I currently use either the OCD model in the Line6 HX Stomp or my TC Electronic Dark Matter but the later doesn‘t do exactly what I need it to do.

Wow. Lol. All the OCD hate because a guy condemns people looting. What a bunch of nonsense. Smashing windows and stealing shit? Burning shit down? People lost their livelihoods. Some lost their lives. Funny you say you want justice for a violent act so you go out and commit violent acts against people that had nothing to do with it. In cities that are hundreds or even thousands of miles from the original act. And why? One scumbag murdered another scumbag while a few more scumbags held him down. George Floyd did not deserve to die but he's your chosen martyr? A criminal killed by a cop while resisting arrest? The asshole cop was arrested and everyone involve said right away the he would be prosecuted. The other cops were fired. Still they riot. And of course black lives matter but what the fuck does that have to to with it? There was NO INDICATION AT ALL THAT RACE EVEN PLAYED A ROLE. Just happened to be a white cop and a black man. All he did was tell the truth and he barely scratched the surface.

I believe the Smallsound/Bigsound Mini overdrive is essentially the skeleton of the F*ck overdrive in a smaller casing
