- Apparently, no one made a proper Sonic Shuffle compilation so once again, I had to step in and make it myself. I feel like it's now my duty to make these Sonic compilations so next time when the Game Grumps play another Sonic game, I promise that will get to work straight away (Unless I'm busy).

It's incredible how removing one aspect from the original game it really turns it into an unplayable mess.
For those confused, Sonic Shuffle was originally released on the Dreamcast, which had a small display directly on the controller and would display the card you were hovering over when you would make your selection.
No wonder they were having such a terrible time, especially when the AI would operate with the same understanding so it'd just look like straight up sorcery that it's picking all the right cards.
...something else I've just realized is that without that display from the dreamcast controller, this big basically trains your brain to count cards 😳
This is one of my favorite playthroughs for Danny. I love this house sarcastic and sassy he was the entire time.

I like how 'hard mode' is LITERALLY FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE to play against.
When Arin is in pain-we laugh
When Danny is in pain-we feel bad
As far as I know, the carbuncle eats items in the player's inventory, when there's no items left to eat, it eats itself.
Just imagine you're a character in Sonic Shuffle and you got the carbuncle, then it starts eating itself, you can hear it devouring its own flesh, you can hear it's pain and suffering, you can feel it's warm blood dripping on your own skin. You open your inventory to take a look, it looks back at you with a pained expression, before taking the last bite and completely eating itself.
Every time you take an item out of yout inventory, it's drenched in blood, and every time you see the blood *you remember* ...
Edit: 01:01:52. Sonic fucks Eggman's shit up, look at the way Eggman flies away dude holy crap.

I don't understand the S card. It's like, "if you get THIS card, you get to pick TWO cards!"
But the S card counts as the first card and it gives you nothing... so it's basically like picking one card... so what the hell is the point of the S card?

I love this playthrough but it pains me that they decided NOT to play this one in person together. Because on the Dreamcast you're supposed to be able to use the controller to see your cards and help with certain minigames.

@@420anonymous probably, being as it's a feature attached to the memory cards. And I doubt they'd BOTH overlook something right in their face.

@@420anonymous arin played it with friends before on grumpcade. They used the dreamcast and were able to see their cards. But i get why arin would’ve erased it from his memory

In case it hasn't been mentioned, on the original system, you could see your cards on your controller (I think). The grumps weren't aware, so that's why the play through was so chaotic and nonsensical

I also enjoyed Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal as a kid, which was super broken and impossible to control when I tried it again for nostalgia many years later.
The only reason you liked it as a kid was because you had infinite time and zero responsibilities.
The game that emotionally and mentally broke Dan. XD
This was almost a headache for me when editing this.
That was Action Girlz Racing. Sonic Shuffle was a relapse.

I used Sonic X since this game was on the Dreamcast and the anime was set between Dreamcast & GameCube.
I just realized how epic the freaking Sonic X intro is!
Oh my god the Dreamcast controllers had a screen, the game makes barely more sense now

I've noticed that there are a ton of negative comments here on your video, but I wanted to break that streak and say this is a great comp, obviously took you forever to edit, and your efforts in the intro threw me way off because I thought (never having seen the intro to the original sonic thing that song is from) that was how it was originally!

dreamcast was the most innovative console ever jus sayin, but this was the most frustrating game ever made also.

Because the people who are fans of game grumps like seeing them? I think their ads are way better than other youtubers that basically just do the ad read with nothing added on.
I always show support to channels like yours for making compilations since I don't care to actually watch the channel anymore. But could you maybe cut out the commercials? I mean if you want to do a compilation of commercials that would be cool, but one of the main reasons I don't watch the main channel is their constant need to make a sale. If not, thats cool. It's your channel, afterall.
Ads are needed to pay the bills.
@@otakumarcus I guess I wasn’t clear... not commercials as in ads on your videos. I mean the ads the grumps make on their channel. Those commercials seem to make it on your compilations often and I don’t care for them.

@@otakumarcus ok. But the compilations are of the game series. I already suggested doing separate compilations for those for the people that like them. They just seem out of place here since these aren’t uploads for their channel and it’s a compilation based on the game they played.
