      That's true but you have to understand! It's an entertainment business that is why it was given to Teo, it's to protect the future of boxing, now say if they given that win to Ortiz, no elite fighter is going to want to fight him because it can turn into a lose, lose situation like this fight, we're both fighters lost but when 2 fighters give it there all and put on a show, even the loser will be a winner because of the respect gained, also it will attract more fans to boxing, which equals more money

    I am a fan from way back (which probably means I'm old), but I had stopped watching for a few years. I'm getting back into boxing recently and have heard all the hype about Teo while watching him and other modern fighters. You are absolutely right that Haney (an absolute maestro in his last fight) would cook Teo. They shouldn't be in the same discussion.

    The amount of CAP is wild. Fans shouldn't encourage Ortiz way of fighting, ESPECIALLY a Title Fight. Killing boxing. Good ness sake.

    It's obvious why the judges gave it to teo, jamaine boxed excellent but he didn't come to TAKE the belt from teo. Gotta take the belt off a champion, can't just box to a victory

    Stupidest take ive heard yet😂 Jeff mayweather said ortiz lost and this dude giving ortiz credit for things that didnt happen. If jamaine was stronger or hit harder than teo he wouldnt have reacted the way he did everytime teo landed straight on his face. Back pedalling 20 steps and resetting while never trying to hurt your opponent is just surviving. Not boxing. Not to mention ortiz only threw 2 more punches and never taking a risk. This dude said the headbutt happened in the 3rd round, he wasnt even watching the fight😂

    The problem with Ortiz is that he stopped punching in the second half of the fight. He had a healthy lead with punches landed after the first 6 rounds. At the end, the punches landed were almost even. If Ortiz had kept up the offense in the second half and not just the moving and making Teo miss, he would have given the judges something to think about. I say that because Lopez is the A side and he was the one pressing the action. If there was any doubt each round, the A side would get the benefit of the doubt. Ortiz's job was to convince the judges that he was getting the better of the opponent. He didn't do that when his punch output and punches landed dropped significantly.

    Greg absolutely right on the striking part he a athletic striker. No multiple jabs, no left hook , .. But i do think styles makes fightsi still think Teo gives them boys problems but he need to refine his technique. Pops hit his ceiling as a coach .. idk who can train him maybe virgil hunter can tighten him up .

    Idk man I differ to the boxing expertise of GH but for example Devin Haney uses his footwork and angles to create offensive attacks, I never saw Teo’s head pop back from a jab, combination or be effected by anything aside from Ortiz navigating the ring with nothing behind it imo

      I dig you. I just feel like Ortiz controlled the fight the whole fight and I only gave Teo 2 rounds. Ortiz moved a hell of a lot but that was for Teo to deal with but he could not

    • @thrill_hill
      @thrill_hill 5 месяцев назад

      @@daviddrummond9386 Teo has some things to work on, using his jab high and low to set up his footwork n combinations cutting off the ring to negate that. Someone like Haney will thoroughly expose that more decisively if not.
