The Byrds were one of the few rock groups from the 60's whose foundation was in folk music rather than in the blues like the Rolling Stones were. I loved the Byrds! I loved following their evolution as each of their albums came out (until they hit their country music phase--I don't particularly like country music). But with all the appreciation I had for them, I never experienced McGuinn as a great guitarist. I enjoyed his jangling Rickenbacker, for sure, but I was never impressed with it. After listening to this video, now I know: Roger McGuinn knows how to PLAY!
@@WellDone-o1x thank you so much! Yes, it was a great concert hearing him talk about his musical career and the backstories of many of his songs including this hit. He was wonderful!
